I dropped off my student in the morning. She had a different style of clothing, nothing provocative, no skin showing, just different color and style. As she is walking in the front door, I see the security guard stand up straighter, and look her up and down as she walks by, and he puffs out his chest. I don't think pervs should be allowed to work at schools. Completely outrageous!

My daughter has struggled in lower years and all of her teachers have worked with her to learn her learning style and now she is in AP classes.

My daughter is learning the skills she needs to build an education for a career, not a test.

Any time we have had an issue with a staff member or student, there is always someone available to help settle the situation.

This school was originally a concern since I attended for a little while in the late 1990's. The school has become better equipped to teach the students, they ensure that young adults who have chosen a career path are on the right track to success. I have seen the school bend over backwards to help when my child struggles, and I know that the students who put in the time and effort will succeed.

Love this school. Staff cares and knows the students

Like any school, there will be kids that say that some teachers are lazy and just give out homework. Although some are, there are teachers who give out homework so the students are able to comprehend more and get a better understand of the subject.

The teachers here vary, similar to any school. The big topic of discussion is if it is worth. I would strongly agree because teachers, especially AP, IB, and Dual Credit teachers want the student to grow and be more independent. The teachers help the student out in any way. They even sometimes become a person who they talk to when they are down. Teachers here are willing to give up their time just so their student will be to understand. The important point is if the student wants to learn, teachers will push as far as they can but they can only go so far. Teachers are caring and understanding and want the students to come to class. There are teachers who prepare you for college work.

Although this school is not in the best neighborhood, students develop ways of becoming understanding and excepting one another as it is. They will support each other and help each other. Additionally they will become more independent and be self aware of the situations around them.

The leadership here is exceptional! Students are able to talk and communicate with their communities and other activities at school to organize events. The students are the ones running the activist and extra curricular activities. They are able to get many opportunities and expand theirself in many ways.

My experience at this school was the best one. There will not be any other school that will beat this experience. Going into the IB program, I, the student was able to become prepared and understand how it will be in the real world. The students become close people in your life and just bloom. The teachers are amazing and always strive for you and will always push you to your best even when you dont think you can do it. Honestly, this is one of the best schools that get over looked just because of the community. If it were to get a bit more funds the school will be able to bring in more students and create new activities. So if you are thinking of going to this high school. Please do so. If you would like to get a different experience of high school classes choose this school for the IB program, its the only one in its district.

This school doesn't care about your childs character it cares about nothing but numbers and that means students in seats so the admin/principal can keep getting their paychecks for doing nothing but call you phone to complain about the smallest things.

The leadership is horrible since the last Principal passed away. The students loved him and I'm sure they miss him. This new man didn't do anything for Seniors at this school, I heard so many complaints as to how the school felt more like a middle school institution instead of a fun environment for the Seniors who have paid their dues for 12 years. No Senior trip like other cities or schools, no reward at all for almost at the complete of their long road through high school. This administration doesn't return phone calls/counselor/teacher/principal or anyone. Parents if possible please find another school for your child/children to attend only go if you have no alternative. This place is gloomy inside and out and your child will do well if they engage themselves but don't expect the puppet admin/Principal to do anything but harass your child and you about the smallest things.

My opinion of this school is that it's just an ordinary school that only care about if the seats are filled like most public institutions. Your child will get board within a short time attending this place. It's up to you as parents to find the best schools possible so that your child can flourish not dry up because of monotonous, mundane and boring course work. My friends child is depressed all the time just form going into this place daily. Parents, please find an educational institution where you child can grow, be successful and be happy.

As parent, teacher, and principal-in-training, I view the educational environment from several perspectives. I've had children in South Louisiana, North Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas schools. My children attended Western Hills for four years. Teachers were professional, caring, and responded quickly to a question or concern. EVERY teacher showed up for my daughter's 504 meetings. The weakest area is the administration. I wouldn't recognize the principal if I bumped into him in the local grocery store. Fort Worth ISD doesn't assign teachers and administration in the communities where they reside, so there isn't the loyalty that should be there. Parents and students need to see teachers and administrators around and about their community. I do feel that WHHS is one of the better schools in the FWISD, but that's not saying much. I spent five years teaching at a local alternative school, so I am more aware than most where the worst schools are. My children did well because of teachers, and the support and attention of my husband and myself. We have now moved away. ANY school is better than what we found in the FWISD schools.

I use to go to this school and honestly it has got so much worse. The only thing good about this whole school is the extracurricular activities they make the school. That is all they care about.
