I would not recommend this school based on my experience. My child experienced repeated incidents with other students, and despite reporting concerns, the issue was not resolved nor was there communication.
Academically, I also felt there was a lack of support in learning and there was limited communication or intervention to help improve her performance.
Every child deserves to feel safe and supported in their learning, and unfortunately that was not our experience.

I would not recommend their school it all the principal does not follow up with parents and they have concerns after repeated calls and even going up to the school they find a reason for the principal not to be available going multiple times within a few weeks and still have not heard anything or I received a call from the principal when I didnt manage to talk to someone because I complained about a staff members verbal abuse towards me and her behavior are being very unprofessional. I was sent to some kind of administrative person that wasnt in the office just the lady that I sat down with and told my complaint to nothing was written down. There was no follow up. I had to reach out two weeks later after the incident and there was still no follow up. They didnt even talk to the person. The incident was about. I then waited a month to hear anything so I called recently and have been trying to get in contact with the principal ever since I do not believe the school really believes in taking care of their students as well as their parents. They are not at all equipped to deal with the diversity of children in their schools, not all children learn the same, and there is no reason for certain staff members to be hostile or even verbally abusive towards the student let alone the parent who is voicing their concern. They are very unprofessional. They are very past the buck. I do not believe that they are a five star school based on their very big unprofessionalism. I have tried to reach out in a formal way and was told I needed to follow protocol to make a complaint against a staff member and that has been without resolution I think Im gonna have to take it to the district. If the principal of the school cannot be held accountable, then I can see why the staff members there cannot be held accountable and as well as as it comes to the traffic people in the streets, I have seen them in trapped people, refusing people to move or even block oncoming traffic. I have seen unprofessional staff members yelling at parents and students when they do not want to hear complaints about their staff members all around this place is not well-rounded or emotionally intelligence or even equipped to deal with diversity of people. I dont necessarily wanna make a racial thing, but I can definitely see how there can be some tension when concerns of diverse people are not considered or even acknowledged. Theyre definitely needs to be more emotional intelligence within the staff.

I pulled my child out of this school. teacher here are bullies and I do not trust none of them. the principal can't be bothered with returning phone calls and the counselor has no idea what she is doing. no communication. my child came home on several occasions to tell me that teacher are telling classes to "shut up!"

Compared to the school she attends now, there is mandatory homework and the material is more challenging.

Teachers do not take each child's individuality and bring out those strengths in each student. Not all children learn alike.

She displays more compassion and respect at her new school.

There are hardly any activities encouraged at the school which starts at the top.

My child was in the talented and gifted program and she was left behind because the majority of the students could not read.

I did not hear of any bullying at this school. It didn't address it strongly.

Experience was not very good. When she attended 1st grade in her new school, she was lagging in mathematics and reading and she had to get tutoring to catch up to the other students that had attended kinder there.

Teachers need more training for kids that are not "normal". This is the districts school for these kids and they have no idea how to handle them.

The principal is ok, seems like a nice enough guy but is always unavailable when needed (joe Estrada). The assistant principal is great, she makes her self available even when she's not if there's an urgent concern that needs delt with (Rachel Morton). I can't remember thier names off the top of my head but the special ed teacher and counsler my child was assigned to where doing great with the support they got. The homeroom teacher, well she was a horrible fit for my child. She had zero training for special needs children. Her mentality was "my classroom, my rules" and "punish the behavior out of the kid" etc. which is good for typical children, not so much ones that are not. She had a hard time coming to the reality that these types (autistic) of kids really can't help a lot of what they do. She was unwilling to learn any different, didn't follow the IEP etc. In the end I left the school as it was a bad fit for us.

My family loves this school, multiple members of our family have gone to this school and we couldn't be happier. We had an opportunity to go to another school and we decided to stay In this area to be able to go to this school. Two years in a row my 1st grader has had Amazing teachers! She is currently in in a dual language and the GT class and has done very well. I have gotten a lot of feedback and resources from her teachers. We are so proud to be a Farine Falcon!

I feel that homework strengthens what a child is learning in class.

Teachers give their all to student learning each day. They come early and stay late to ensure that their students receive the most engaging instruction on a consistent basis.

Farine's teachers and staff are all so very supportive and encouraging to the kids. My son is in first grade and is in his second year of the dual language immersion program. He is six years old and speaks, writes and reads in two languages, with English being his primary language. It is such an impressive program and very well run. He loves being able to learn in two languages and I know he is being set up for future success by being challenged so early in his educational life. I highly recommend Farine to any parent that is looking for a challenging environment for their children to learn in.

As a volunteer at the school, I am so impressed at the dedication of the teachers and staff and also how much the students want to learn. It is an excellent learning environment.

This school has been nothing but accommodating, supportive and nurturing for my son. He is now in 1st grade and I couldn't love his teacher more. Ms Hunter. What a great teacher. She is caring, supportive and goes the extra mile. The staff are all very friendly and the systems seem very well organized.

My children love Farine. The dual language program has been outstanding for my girls. My oldest is now in fifth grade and speaks fluent Spanish and has had no difficulty in other subjects. The administration has been very accomidating with my child's medical condition which causes her to miss days regularly for treatments.

They are so awesome here! the teachers are excellent and the duel language program is the bast. Mine will be going into the first grade next year as a GnT, and can already have a conversation with someone in Spanish. Her growth over the past year in reading, spelling, and math has been nothing less than amazing and her teachers, Mrs. Mauzer and Mrs. Isaac are totally awesome! Thank you so much

I have had children at Farine for 4 years. Both of my sons are in the dual language program. In fact, we moved to Irving because of this opportunity. The administration & staff at Farine have been nothing short of amazing. They are focused on teaching our kids to read, write & think. I was especially impressed when I asked my then 4th grader if he knew when the TAKS test was. He did not, even though it was only 2 weeks away. This told me that they were more focused on teaching my kid than on test scores/strategies, etc. I have always felt welcome and felt like the administration and staff were ready to work together, with me, to address any issues that have come up with my kids. I cannot recommend Farine highly enough. As I've read the reviews on this site, what struck me is how they have improved over the years. This is proof that the administration is working to make things better all the time. Do not hesitate to send your kids here. You won't regret it.

I have two daughters, both enrolled in the dual language program. Though there have been struggles, I have found that the administration and teachers have always been willing to work together to find a solution to any problems, with my children's best interest at heart. I would encourage any new parent to start their child in the dual language, it is really providing them with a great gift!!
