New principal doesnt seem up to speed on educational law and doesnt seem to have control of her staff

Their idea of helping students with spelling difficulties is to give them an alternative list of words that are well below grade level and repeat many of those words over and over. The student makes a higher grade but is left woefully unprepared by not learning grade level words.

Two kids were bullied on an almost daily basis. The schools approach was to tell them how to respond to bullies but did nothing to the one bullying.

Very disappointed. This school district is the better for the area but sucks. Unfortunately there are no good private schools nearby.

Most homework is not graded so theres no feedback before tests and few grades in the grade book for a students average.

The school had a child bring drugs to school last year and share a snack with other children. The school pricipal and the district never answered my questions such as where did the child get it? Did they test to confirm that it was a controlled substance? What was th e consequence for doing this?
If you can't answer simple questions like these of parents when something like this happens, then how can we trust that the school is safe for our children.

Seven hills is an awesome school! My daughter went to another school for kindergarten and I felt she didn't get the right education she needed and she was little behind when she started 1st. We have now been at seven hills 3 years and she now is above in all areas. They did an amazing job catching her up. The staff is always friendly and Mrs. Dora is a nice smiling face to see! I LOVE seven hills!

My son there last year and my daughter still goes to seven hills and loves it. The teachers really help her since she is ADHD and has a hard time focusing. I have met with teachers and have volunteered there and have visited my daughter for lunch and you can really tell they care about their students. I have seen out of control students become controllable because they took the time to get to the root of the problem. I also drive students home from this school and they love their teachers! It really shows every single day!! Thank you seven hills for giving our kids a chance to become great!!!!!

I have 2 children grades 2 & 4 in Seven Hills. The staff is professional yet seem to care on a personal level. The school feels like a large family, every one knows each other and when your child isn't in a certain grade or class the teachers great you like you are the greatest of friends. Both of my kids had a speech impediment and the kinder teacher helped them so that it improved and wasn't a permanent problem. I am happy this school is where my children's attend. I truly love it.

The teachers at SHE have always gone above and beyond for my children and myself. My oldest son has medical issues and has never had an issue with accommodations or being left out. I love SHE and wouldn't dream of being anywhere else.

Both my girls attend SHE. It is a wonderful school. The teachers and staff are very patient and caring. The focus is on education and creating a loving caring positive place for our children to thrive in.

My boys both attend Seven Hills. We moved from the Keller ISD which was suppose to be top notch but after going to Seven Hills we prefer Northwest! Great security at the school, my husband loves the Watchdog program, all the teachers seem to have good attitudes and my boys really have enjoyed their time there. A good down to earth school with very involved teachers and parents. The only thing I don't like is all the fundraisers but I think all school districts have those. I just pick and choose the ones I want to participate in. My boys could care less! LOL!

I have had three kids in Seven Hills, one is now is middle school and one is in first grade and one is in 5th. The school is wonderful with caring teachers and staff. Every single teacher we have had has been amazing. Could not imagine a better school! The principal is open and involved. There are always events and activities, math night, carnivals, dances, game night, moms night, etc.

My son attended kindergarten at Sevenhills and we were very pleased with the school and his teacher, Mrs. Reyes. My son entered kindergarten at the lowest reading level and by the middle of the school year he was reading books in front of the class! I was very impressed with the teaching and how organized this school is. Now, my son is at the top reading level (another school) in first grade.
