I had to call the police on the man gym teacher. He couldn't keep his hands to himself..The principal was no help at all. So think twice before enrollment at this school

You cannot get the principal or vice principal to answer your phone calls. Had an incident where my child was punched in the face and I couldn’t get a hold of anyone. I kept getting ignored and the principal never spoke to me. A different incident and I called to speak to the vice principal and same issue, can’t get them on the phone to handle concerns. Another issue where they don’t want you to get out of the cars during pickup or drop off, but the cars are on child lock, the teachers aren’t helping get the students out of the car and they will scold you for opening the door for your child. It’s the tone at the top, and I feel there is a lack of leadership to get this school to a higher standard. Child got lice at the school and we were scolded for missing school, we are really upset how they handle lice, because they just ignore the issue. We are scared to send our daughter to school when she was cleaned because she got lice again since there is no protocol. They simply don’t care! I feel the admin at this school is lacking. The teachers have been amazing! But I hear they leave the profession due to the admin and not really the students. One of the teachers we loved here at the school left. So the Richardson isd standard is not being met at this school. Extremely disappointed. Looking into homeschooling !

We have two kids at Greenwood Hills and have nothing but praise. Both kids are thriving. We've had a number of teachers that are just exceptional. We've always felt well-supported. Even during this pandemic, online learning was well-organized and is going well. It's a wonderful school!

Fantastic School. Our children thrived in the caring and academically challenging environment. A truly great neighborhood school that funnels into North and JJ Pearce.

The neighborhood has changed dramatically over the past five years as more families have moved to the area and house prices have increased. It is definitely a school on the rise. We have had children at Greenwood Hills Elementary for five years and have seen nothing but steady growth at the school. The current leadership is outstanding. The children are excited to learn. The extracurricular activities are fun and engaging and the PTA has grown tenfold. Five years ago, neighbors were trying to get their children into nearby magnet schools. Now they are moving to the neighborhood because of Greenwood Hills.

We finally moved away from RISD to get our second grader out of the school district. Every single year we had problem after problem. The last straw was little boys touching my son's penis while he was using the restroom! Not once but 3 times and the school did not take it seriously! Horrible staff as well. They brought in a horrible principal from a low graded school and it got worse. Never send your child to this school

Greenwood Hills is an excellent school!!! Diversity is welcomed at this campus. Great teachers, staff and PTA! The teachers genuinely care about the students. My children are challenged in their classrooms and have done exceptional well on state assessment tests. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Our PTA is continuing to grow and support GHE and the community.

Greenwood Hills is a WONDERFUL school! My son is a 1st grader and LOVES GHE, especially the afterschool PACE program which is probably THE BEST in ALL of RISD. The teachers strive to meet the diverse needs of all students and lovingly guide them to achieve their very best. The teachers put in COUNTLESS hours working for the benefit of the students and genuinely care about the well-being of all children. You won't find a more passionate, dedicated staff or principal. Ms. Massey-Stinnett is a genuine student advocate who strives to do what's best for kids at all times. Our PTA is TOP NOTCH and puts on all kinds of great activities all throughout the year. We love GHE!

Greenwood Hills Elementary Schools is a hidden treasure in Richardson, TX. Diversity is one of the biggest asset here. Students receive an extremely high quality education as well as a truly beneficial multicultural experience. This develops them into very well rounded global citizens at an early age. School leadership is outstanding. Teachers are talented and have a passion for their work. The after school PACE program may be the best in the Dallas area. Parent involvement is relatively low compared to nearby schools, but the PTA has grown steadily over the past few years. We intentionally moved to this neighborhood from a nearby neighborhood with a higher rated school. We did this because we felt that GHE would offer a better overall educational experience for our children.
