This school actively promotes bullying. If ur an extremely religious thin straight white kid you’ll have a great time. The bigotry in this school is actually disgusting. I have been outed as trans and slurs have been yelled at me in front of the principal but what
Do they do nothing. The rasim is insane and I hope no other students have to come her and face the bigotry I have. If this was in a book I would say it was unrealistically bad but nope somehow it’s real. They care more about money than education I hate it here.

Worst school I’ve ever attended. The staff could not care less for the students, and the school is ableist, sexist, and racist. The gt courses are hardly different from the regular ones, the dress codes are only enforced on people less likely to fight back for power trips, and they do nothing about bullying. The most they can give is a “sorry”. My mental health fell through the floor while I was here, and I’m honestly just glad I survived. There’s violence and drugs and so many problems but god forbid a Texas school is good.

I'm a student from LHJH and this school is good but the thing is that they have way too many projects in English language arts, at the end of the year we have no fun except for doing projects. There is a lot of favoritism in this school like teachers not helping others but their favorite students. We have to lock our phones in a special patch until the end of the day which is horrible!!! TOO MUCH FIGHT AND BULLYING.

I am a student here at LHJH and if you are a parent that doesn't know what to expect, let me break it down for you. Let's start with teachers. First of all, every teacher cares about the kids there and loves every one of them. Although some can be harsher than others, no teacher I've met does not care about or love the kids. Even as a student, you can tell that all the teachers like everyone equally and do excellent work at their job. Each teacher carefully prepares students for tests and cheers them on all year. They take their jobs seriously and are incredibly kind to everyone. Now let's talk about the students. The stereotypical middle schooler is truly not far from the actual students here. They are crazy, irresponsible, stinky, and do bad things. I'm not saying everyone is like this, but a good 35% are. I think a lot of parents are unaware that their children go to school and swear, get in fights, skip class, etc. Again, not everyone does this. Only a small percentage. If you think people do drugs, smoke, jump people, etc. you are wrong. You may hear rumors, but they are almost never true and I have never seen this happen before. The thing that happens the most out of those three is kids getting jumped so make sure to stay out of trouble with other kids or tell your children to stay out of trouble because some kids are not afraid to tackle you and steal your stuff in the middle of the hallway. But before you decide to switch to a private school, remember that out of all these bad things kids have done it rarely ever happens and when it does only like 0.5% of kids actually do it. These kinds of situations are rare but do happen. Usually, as well teachers and staff jump in to stop this whenever they can. There is an amazing nurse as well as a counselor who will help you with all your needs. Super nice people and I recommend them. The teachers do a great job of teaching the material and making it fun for kids. As for family engagement, there isn't much, to be honest. Unless you tell you're mom or dad about your entire school day every day, the parents don't really know much. There are some events like an open house or multi-cultural night, but other than that not much. Teachers will email you back though!! I have some good news for kids but bad news for parents: there is barely any homework! sometimes none! In my 7th-grade year, I had no homework at all! It really just depends on the teacher. Thank you for reading this really long review bye!

This school shouldn't even get ANY reviews because of the fact it is so unfair...

The dress codes for everyone should all be the same whether they are black, Hispanic, white, or Asian, boys or girls. They should ALL have the same rules to follow. Since some girls who have a more distinctive figure and more curves than others get dressed coded for wearing the same clothes other girls with a not so distinctive figure or any curves.

If I could give this school a negative star review I would. The students are disrespectful, rude, and ignorant. Little to no teacher care about the emotional well being of their students or the bullying going around them. Not to mention the favoritism some teachers show to certain students of more popularity. I’ve heard of schools having zero tolerance policies, but I guess this school doesn’t have one considering there are no repercussions when it comes to bullying. When incidents are reported to counselors or principals no action is taken except them sitting there saying they’re sorry that your getting bullied. if you’re thinking of coming here don’t.

This school does not deserve a rating. Grades are not calculated correctly in many ways, and credit is not given where credit is due. Administration/teachers are severely lacking.
