We are three years into this school and have been so pleased with its staff, students, and PTO. Everyone truly cares about one another. The academic experience has been great too. I feel so lucky to be in this district!

My daughter is a special-needs student (high-functioning autism). The administrators, counselors, and teachers at APHE have gone out of their way to help and accommodate her. She is in the regular classroom as much as possible, and they even hired a wonderful aide to help her with difficult situations.

Bullying is a major issue. Admin does not reprimand bad behavior, including physical violence.

Bullying is an issue here. Unfortunately the school is a popularity contest and many parents are extremely stuck up if they think you do not have money. Those that are different are treated as such. There are some great and caring teachers at this school, but many are just as much apart of the problem and treat the kids as if they are not people. We have been here since kindergarten and I am more disappointed each year. My daughter has been struggling with depression as a result of this school.

Students that are different are not well received. Bullying is out of control.

This school has some very good teachers who care about the students and the new principal, Mrs. Smith is amazing. However, even the best of the teachers are overshadowed by the bad ones. There are many teachers who yell at their students every day. The PTO us very strong, and I have spent many many hours on campus volunteering. Parent involvement is huge at this school. But that has also given me the opportunity to see how the students are treated every day. They are yelled at, disrespected and belittled by some of the teachers on a daily basis. Consequently, the kids are under alot of stress. There are many rude kids and there's a lot of social engineering. Some of the biggest bullies in the school are teachers and staff. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't send my kids to this school.

Amazing school. The staff seems to really care about the kids and their well being. I own them a lot for my child excelling the way he has. I can say enough good things about this school. Ms. Gentry, Ms. Pullen and Principal Ms. Helm, you are amazing ladies. Don't stop caring like you do. You are touching more hearts and lives than you realize and I thank you so much for my son's progression.
