Words are not adequate to express the positive impact Zion Lutheran School has had on our family. Our daughters came into the preschool program at ages 2 and 3, and they continued attending Zion through 8th grade. This isn't just a school. Zion is a family, a community, a safe haven, a place where your child can discover and grow and flourish under the gentle watch of teachers who truly live for the Lord. Those are the descriptions that come to my mind before I even get to the topics of academics and athletics, which also happen to be outstanding. Not only were our girls more academically prepared for high school than some of their peers, they walked into that new environment with attitudes of diligence, kindness, tenacity, integrity, and above all, a deep faith in Jesus. I cannot overstate how much of who they are today is by virtue of their education at Zion Lutheran School. Partnering with the Zion faculty to educate our little girls and help raise them into incredible young ladies was the best decision we ever made.

My oldest son started at Zion when he was 2 years old in the Early Childhood Program. We always thought we would move him to our neighborhood public school in kindergarten, but we loved it so much we stayed. He went all the way through 8th grade. The teachers are all amazing! The classrooms have a good student/ teacher ratio, plus each class has a teacher aide. Zion offers reading support and the Take Flight Program. We have been very pleased with the way Zion has supported our son's growth. Academically and socially, Zion has done an excellent job preparing him for high school. Our youngest who has a completely different learning style is thriving at Zion as well. I cannot say enough about the foundation Zion has provided both my children. We highly recommend Zion Lutheran; it is a wonderful school and community!!

Zion Lutheran School has been a gift that keeps on giving for our family. We started there 9 years ago when it was made pretty clear to us that the local elementary school was not a good option for our son. Since that time I have seen the school grow to include therapeutic support for students with dyslexia, which has been an exciting addition to the already strong curriculum. My son's accommodations as a student with ADHD and SLD in reading were always honored. That coupled with low student to teacher ratio makes it competitive with even specialized LD campuses in the metroplex for students who do not need an altered curriculum. My child was accepted and is thriving at a competitive high school. We have always found the teachers to be compassionate and truly invested in our children. While it is a small community, there are many opportunities for parents to get involved. We would highly recommend Zion Lutheran School; it is a gem.

Ultimately, I wish we left Zion before my child formed a close friend group. It felt wrong to pull them away from that. Of course, I understand that there are fake people and cliques everywhere in the world, but it's especially disgusting when so-called Christians hug all over you when there's an audience present, but then exclude your child from activities outside of the school. But we've been fortunate to find a few good gems in terms of families...a rare few.
I'm beginning to worry my child is not as prepared for high school as they could be due to the amount of time spent in choir and still (STILL!) coloring in middle school. The kiddos that we know in highly ranked public schools seem to have an edge in terms of learning. Really take your time before making a decision about Zion.

This school is not a healthy place for any student. Bullying is ignored, and the students that do bully are protected.

Great school, solid teachers, wonderful community of families. If you're looking for a loving, Christian-focused environment, then definitely consider Zion. Our two children attended PreK 2 - second grade and we're very happy and proud of Zion Lutheran. Bilodeau, Mandt, Vogt, Dolliver are amazing teachers!

My three children have been at Zion for over five years now. I have nothing but great things to say about this school. We initially chose Zion because we liked the principal, loved the large classrooms with their walls of windows and thought the tuition was very reasonable. We have stayed at Zion because of the exceptional leadership, excellent teachers and strong academic program. The music direction is outstanding. The athletic director does a fabulous job, too. The friends and relationships we have found at Zion are irreplaceable. I am very thankful to have found such a loving and caring environment for my children. I highly recommend this school!!!
