Weve had an incredibly positive experience at St. Christophers Montessori. Both of our children have been there since they were just 4 months old, and it has been such a comforting and supportive environment for our family from the very beginning.
Beginning with Miss Sara and Miss Stephanie in the infant room, we were met with such warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. Entrusting them with our babies during those early months meant everything, and they set the tone for the experience weve had ever since. As our children have grown, weve continued to feel that same level of care and consistency every step of the way. Along the journey, weve had the opportunity to work with several other teachers who have all been equally thoughtful, patient, and invested in our childrens development, and that continuity has meant a lot to us.
Now with Miss Abida in the pre-primary classroom, we continue to feel that same level of support and thoughtfulness. She has created a nurturing environment that encourages independence, confidence, and curiosity.
What stands out most is that this level of care extends across the entire staff. Every teacher weve interacted with has been kind, engaged, and clearly invested in the childrens well-being and growth. The administration is also very present and thoughtful, and its clear they truly care about both the students and families.
We feel very lucky to be part of this community and would highly recommend St. Christophers Montessori to any family looking for a nurturing, high-quality early childhood environment.

Due to moving, we have been at several different daycares and Pre-Ks. SCMS far exceeds every other program my child has attended. Academically he is thriving in this environment. He loves going to school every day. Every time I come to pick him up, one of his teachers is gently rocking and comforting one of the kiddos singing to them how she loves them and mommy is coming. She intuitively knows whos struggling and supports childrens emotional needs. Isnt that what we want as parents, someone to love our kids as we would in our absence? I could go on and on, but I am so grateful to SMCS for my sons educational supports and care. As a former gifted education working at top schools across the state, I truly wouldnt send him anywhere else.
My little guy ended up getting into a well known , top public Montessori Pre-K, which would save me, a single mom by choice, a good hunk of change. I am opting to keep him at SCMS, forgoing his coveted lottery spot. I know Im not the only other SCMS parent that made the same choice. I think that says it all.

The director and teachers greatly care for the students. I appreciate the activities they organize for the children. We have had a good experience and constantly recommend it to others.

All the great reviews for this school was 5-6 years ago. I dont know what happened to this school over the years but they have mishandled a lot of situations, my son fell on the playground and hit his head. I was not notified until I showed up to pick him up & asked to sign an incident report then & there. A student in his class pushed him & he hit his head on the corner of a shelf & none of the teachers in the classroom saw the incident. My son had to tell to the teachers what happened. I was suppose to hear back from the director regarding an incident about my son (3.5 years old) eating lunch alone when I walked in & its been weeks and have not heard back.

My children have attended multiple (4) well-regarded daycares and schools in Dallas and Richardson. I rate St. Christopher's Montessori School at the top of the list. My eldest is a third-grader who attended SCMS for preschool. She entered a shy, sweet little girl, and started kindergarten with confidence and ability to succeed. Now, our toddler will be starting at SCMS to follow in her able footsteps! St. Christopher's is the whole package -- loving teachers and staff, respect for the whole child, preparedness for kindergarten, peace of mind for the parent, and character development.

Our daughter attended St Christopher's Montessori for 2.5 years from age 2 through 4.5. I simply can't imagine a more loving environment. The teachers and administration are all top notch. They love our child and she loves them just as much. They are great at keeping the children in line, but making sure it's done with love and safety in mind. Watching my child hug each teacher at the end of each day is a wonderful thing to see. The curriculum follows the Montessori methods very closely and a good portion of the staff are Montessori certified or getting their certification. Our daughter's learning sometimes astounds me! Teacher turnover is very low and all the teachers know all the kids. The "graduation" process from the little kid rooms to the big kid rooms are handled carefully. I truly consider our family to be lucky to have found such a warm home for such a critical time or our daughter's developement! We love St. Christopher's!

My kids were reading age 4, learned science, geography, cultures, math, writing, art, etc. They teach using Montessori methods & do it properly, but they have flexibility, there's more variety & creativity than other Montessori schools. The 4 classrooms are unique, warm, inviting w/ plenty space for programs. This is a small school, both size & community on purpose - they've been around a long time & don't plan to expand. They prefer to provide top quality experience to all students & employees. They make quality education affordable w/ a low cost base. Then, they offer many programs you sign up for separately. Programs offered incl: Spanish, Chinese, tumbling, chess, computer, art, ballet. The school was started by Becky's mom. She cares & is super responsive. I witnessed her handle difficult situations w/ grace, professionalism & respect for law/regulations. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the teachers who nurtured & educated. I was impressed on many occasions with their caring individual attention. They do NOT have high turnover rates. Their teachers stay for many years. I can not recommend this school, Becky & teachers more highly.

My 2 boys learned a lot, and will have great memories from this school. I strongly recommend it. It isdefinitivelly a great school, great enviroment, fun, intimate nurturing and it stimulates the strenghts of each kid.

I highly recommend Saint Christopher s Montessori School to anyone seeking a preschool for their 2-6 year olds. Both of my children have attended this wonderful school. My son started at age 4, and my daughter at age 2 . The teachers and staff were tremendous. Before starting at SCMS, my daughter struggled with separation anxiety, and so my husband and I were very concerned about how she would adjust. However, in less than a week, thanks to loving and understanding teachers, she became a happy preschooler at SCMS. She left SCMS a well adjusted and confident little girl. Both my kids are now doing wonderfully at elementary school and I know the preparation they received at SCMS has a lot to do with it. The school is definitely not just a daycare. The school also has a diverse student population and is very affordable compared to other preschools in the area.

This school is wonderful! Started in October, 2012 and was immediately impressed. The director and the rest of the staff are excellent with the children! I'm surprised DAILY with how much he has learned. For ex. yesterday I asked him if he knew any Spanish (he's 3 years old), thinking he'd spout off a common word or short phrase. Instead, he started singing a song in Spanish about all of the months of the year (which he knows in English also). He was able to tell me all of the months in 2 different languages...I was shocked! And that's only one of the countless things he's learned...and had fun while learning them! The staff goes to great lengths, keeping parents up to speed on their child's progress. They even had a "Montessori 101" session, just for the parents, demonstrating the different works and activities that the children are learning from. We followed another family (my son's best friend) and changed to this school, not having the slightest clue what Montessori even meant, and I'm SO very glad that we did. I did do some research on SCMS before signing up and there's a very impressive history here. You simply cannot go wrong by letting your children attend SCMS.

My son is not even 3 yet and is singing his ABC's and knows colors, but that's not the important part. He has also learned practical life skills, cleaning up after himself, respecting others, and how to manipulate his hands for grasping and squeezing, setting him up for future writing and expression. He has learned manners, telling us "Thank you for cooking my dinner" and "Thank you for helping me" without being prompted. He's learning about his feelings and how to express them in non aggressive ways and learning that good behavior is not rewarded by getting a sticker but by making someone else happy. I've seen my son go from misbehaving to suddenly behaving all because I told him his actions were making me sad. My son is by no means a perfect quiet toddler who sits basket weaving,on the contrary, he's FULL of energy, has a hard time sitting down, needs to constantly move, sings loud during nap, forgets to have an inside voice, and loves to wrestle. Yet the teachers and staff truly love my son, during the most critical developing time of his life. He's learning to appreciate life in it's simplest form, thankfulness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, friendship, and love.

I highly recommend this excellent school to any one looking for a montessori education for their children in Dallas. The curriculum and teachers are incredible. And the warm and loving environment creates an instant family vibe within the school for all the kids and parents. I sent both of my daughters to this school and I cherish the years they were students at Saint Christopher's.

Miss Becky and the staff at St. Christopher's changed my children's life. They teach real thought, not rote memorization. My children experienced kindness and had role models of they type of citizens I want them to grow up to be. THank you St. Christopher's for such a gift to our community.

We loved our time at St. Christopher's Montessori. Mrs. Betty, and now her daughter Miss Becky provide the type of care every family wants for their child. The care and concern for their development and for the development of each child's individual personality is amazing. If they are still there when my grandchildren are born, St. Christopher's is where they will go as well.

I can't speak high enough of this school. I have a 7 years old son that attended the school for 4 years and a 3 years old currently enrolled. The teachers and director are simply amazing, always available to discuss any concerns and deeply caring for the well being of the child. The Montessori method they follow will allow any child to learn and master a topic at his/her own pace. The quality of the students that comes out of the school speak for itself. A lot of the kids continue to the most selective private schools or magnet public shools. My 7 yo son was recently admitted to St Mark's as a 3rd grader, selected among 60 other children as their number one candidate. I give all the credits to this school!

My child has attended St. Christopher's Montessori for two years now. The staff is exceptional. My child has progressed immeasurably not only in academics but in social interaction. When I come to pick him up after work he does not want to leave. He has made many. many friends there, and I know when he graduates this year he will miss this school so much. I wish St. Christopher's would expand into kindergarten and elementary school. If they did, I'd keep my child there. I cannot adequately express my gratitude and love for these folk. They have become family. Thank you St. Christopher's for being such a great school.

I have found St. Christopher's Montessori to be a loving educational environment. The director, the staff, and the teachers seem to love what they do. Feedback has never been a problem for me. The children are happy- It is readily apparent by just walking into the classroom.

My son attended this school and it has prepared him well for grade school. It's a great school in the University Park area, and as a parent I am extremely grateful for what SCMS has instilled in my son. The director is extremely warm and friendly, and the teachers are some of the best!

We enrolled in 2005, and SCMS has been the one school that best fit all our family s needs. We have a child with learning differences, an average child, and a gifted child. We needed, and found in SCMS, an affordable Montessori run much like a large, loving home that also prepares our kids for traditional school. The campus is older and worn, but safe, clean and tidy. Our children are happy and learning - their teachers have brought out the best in all our children s academics and personalities! The staff have been supportive, communicative and inclusive: I even scheduled a class observation when I felt I needed to see more of how my little one was processing things. As a very involved parent, I feel I must aver that lack of attention to unanimous parental concerns is news to me, and the two major teacher changes were the passing of one and the retirement of another. Hopefully, this person has since brokered a resolution with the school, or found/formed a home-school that better fits their needs. The comment regarding a bathroom incident is likely another school, as the bathrooms are not in the hallways. Ditto, the ridicule and teachers lacking training.

We love this school! Our oldest daughter graduated last year. Her steadfast progression was impressive while attending. Our youngest daughter now attends and is thriving! Love the warm teachers and all the staff!

This school is run by a single person and no outside input (particularly from parents) is welcome. The parent manual states there is a higher board, and continued concerns should be presented to them, however only the director is able to contact this board. The school says it is AMS accredited, but it does not abide by AMS mission statement of seeking to facilitate a student's full potential. Nor does it establish visions, goal and philosophy appropriate to the needs of the family. I was told that parental concern (even if unanimous) is irrelevant b/c this is not a parent-run school. I requested more feedback regarding my child's progress and they will not provide more -despite stating they already collect this information, because "this is how they have been doing things for 30 years." If you do not want the school to look for ways of improvement or the needs of your child - this school will be fine for you. The school is not looking at how to improve the school or your child's experience. Additionally, there have been two major teacher changes this year (it is still September) and no notice has gone out.

Teachers are complacent, a few teachers are warm and loving. My 2 year old's lead teacher implemented love and logic which I am certain was incorrectly implemented. My daughter was taunted and ridiculed by the lead teacher. I was hoping for Montessori training where the child is acknowledged and respected.

I love this school! All of my children have had to wonderful opportunity to pass through the doors of SCMS. They have made wonderful friends and memories while there. The teachers are very loving and caring. I felt that all of my children were receiving excellent instructions, not only with the school work, but also, with how to be a good citizen. I have, and will continue to recommend to all my friends!

I've sent all three of my children to this school and I am VERY pleased with the way they have and are being educated. My oldest had a leg up when he went to Kindergarten and excelled very well. My second has been rated at performing in the range of most 9 1/2 year olds when she is only 5. My youngest is only 20 months and already learning excellent social skills as well as coordination. The teachers here are VERY involved, caring and supportive of all the children. There is daily communication with the teachers and director on progress, needs and areas of improvement. I feel that this school has been a crucial element in the education progress of my children and I am very glad that they attended.

My daughter attended for only a few months. She was happy and kept to herself since she transferred from another Montessori school due to high tuition costs. However, having the bathroom outside of the classroom was an issue because a boy followed her in there, no one noticed, and he tried to "play" around with her--no need to get into graphic detail. She told me the same day, spoke to the director the same day, who was very helpful. She had my daughter show her who did it and all but I did not feel comfortable coming back. Too bad. All preschools should have the bathrooms better supervised, because my daughter, now 9 years old, still remembers that incident to this day. Good thing she had good communication with me, I wonder how many 3 year olds can tell their mothers that someone tried to touch them? The teacher seemed nice but a bit impersonal, didn't try to get to know us nor did she ask anything special about our daughter to get to know her better... I wouldn't recommend it.
