This school has been a blessing to our family. We are military, and my boys found more than a school; they found a Family.

There is not a rating high enough that I could give this school! The amount of time they spend with our child, the curriculum they teach is outstanding! If that alone is not enough, the amount of love, respect, integrity that they instill on a day to day basis is absolutely priceless! Starting from the Very Top being the Principle, all the administrators, teachers, board members, and even Mrs. Chaves the Cafeteria manager are all fantastic. Both our children have went to Jesus Chapel, (one is still there) and I have to say I am amazed at our children's progress both academically, and emotionally! We are very thankful to everyone at this school for providing a strong foundation overall for our children. There are some things money cannot buy and this school goes well beyond what is expected to ensure our kids have a safe and educational environment they can thrive in! There are no divisions of power within this school, everyone works harmoniously together for the overall betterment of the children. I feel Lucky to have found this school and have been able to send our kids here! Thank you Jesus Chapel for being MUCH MORE THEN JUST A SCHOOL!

Some of my favorite teachers are from Jesus Chapel! They are loving and stern all in the same breath! I have never experienced teachers so caring, disciplined, and structured! I love their ability to communicate both with our child and us as parents. They teach hard to ensure that the students are prepared for life and success! The incorporation of the christian teaching is truly what sets this school apart from many others. Our children have grown up with a strong solid foundation that they take through life with them, and it all started in the classroom! It is because the classes are so controlled and small, our kids get very individualized attention, and it has always been as through our kids our the Teachers Kids! Their level of care and compassion goes beyond what we ever experienced in a public school. I have to give it to the teaching staff, they are truly those teachers that our children will forever remember for a lifetime !

Our Son is who he is today because of Jesus Chapel! Our Oldest Daughter went to chapel and she too is a wonderful, successful girl due to the integrity compassion and respect that was embedded in her from an early age at Chapel! Jesus Chapel instills these morals and values in their children from early on. Developing strong Characters while focusing on Integrity, compassion, and respect in their students has always been a daily teaching. I first hand know that Jesus Chapel kids are learning lessons that go far beyond the classroom! My Son is one of the kindest kids I know. He always has a sense of respect and compassion and that is very predominant within the household and his everyday interactions in the community and sports. I am a fond believer that the morals and valued Jesus Chapel teach are priceless and aid towards the success in our children to become productive members of this society! In fact I have been in contact with different alumni's around Texas that went to Jesus Chapel and it is truly obvious they are all cut from the same cloth...kind, courteous, respectful, full of life and joy, and all very much successful.

I have dealt with the Leadership at Jesus Chapel for years now! This school is the EPITOME Leadership! Within this school there is a sense of security, unity, love and BULLY-FREE Zone! The minute you walk into the school you can feel the love and positive synergy that this school has! The leadership has done an amazing job is leading this school on all levels to success! This schools has co-ed grades from Pre-K to 12th Grade, and all the students interact with one and other! The older kids take care and love the young ones, and the little ones look up to the older ones! It is the perfect diverse atmosphere for kids to grow in and develop the skills they need to interact with all levels in a kind, loving manner! Everything Jesus Chapel is about starts straight for the leadership! It is seen at all levels! Always on the same paige and always looking for ways to be better everyday! I can't stress enough how wonderful this school and environment is!

Learning differences come in all diversities. Whether the child has a learning disability, or even an emotional disability Jesus Chapel has always been fantastic about accommodating these needs. I am particularly impressed that they have always managed to identify the issue, and put proper protocols in place to accommodate them. The MOST amazing part is if they need to accommodate an unanticipated circumstance they ALWAYS MAKE IT HAPPEN! They have always put the child and their education first no matter what the obstacle has been! I say this confidently because us as a family have experienced some learning challenges due to personal circumstances and dealing with Jesus Chapel and Mrs. Alba was breath taking. The stress alone of our situation was hard, but the manner in which Mrs. Alba, the staff and Administration was able to assist in our sons education and learning during those times is something that you will rarely see anywhere else. This School is top notch and there is nothing they wouldn't do for their students!

I am truly answering this question because it is on this review but it truly doesn't need to be here. Jesus Chapel develops loving, compassionate children. This example is set from the VERY TOP ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE SMALLEST OF KIDS!
Our family has had our children subject to Bullying in other environments or schools! There is absolutely zero tolerance for that in Jesus Chapel! The school, teachers, administrator, and above all Principle does not allow for that behavior. We talk to our child on a daily basis, and I would go as far as stating that our Son has never dealt with bulling in Jesus Chapel! To the contrary, he has always been embraced with love and kindness. In fact, he has stated from his own mouth that Jesus Chapel is his safe haven! It is a place he loves to be at, loves to see all the different aged kids (in which he knows all their names, this is a rarity) and he enjoys getting up and going to school. In society today, bulling is very real and something that needs to be watched on a daily basis. I have two children that have attended this school, and I have NEVER EVER HEARD OF BULLING BEING AN ISSUE.
This school does an outstanding job of implementing " love everyone" in this school! My Son always comes home and says, "people are all different and I love everyone." I always smile and know that it is because of Jesus Chapel that he has a kind loving heart that only refers to people as people and nothing more or less. I often tell myself, paying for his school is such a small sacrifice for all we are getting in return from this school!!!

I think that there is a good balance of homework for students, whether they choose to do sports or have other activities after school, such as church!

All JCS teachers are degreed and either certified or working on their certification. They teach because they love the students, certainly not for the paycheck! They are able to work with all students because of how small the classes are and really work hard to engage the students. They try to be great role models and help the students build their relationship with Christ in addition to the academics.

Students are involved in helping others on a daily basis here. They do lots of community service projects and they help around the school all the time. They learn to be leaders, to be kind and compassionate to other students and people outside of the school.

The principal is passionate about Christian education. She tries to balance discipline and grace, and tries to ensure the students have the same opportunities and even more than students that go to the "bigger" schools.

My children do not have any learning issues so I'm not sure.

Kids are just sometimes not nice, but I feel that every situation has been dealt with promptly and in a manner that brings Christ to the center of the situation.

I love JCS. My kids (NOT all athletes!!) have excelled academically and socially here. I feel sad for people that leave the school being angry. It is not perfect by any means, but I have never had a situation that was not resolved to my satisfaction. The staff loves my children and I could not have asked for a better learning environment for them.

Since the entire high school is needed to meet the minimum number of team player for sports tournaments, homework is almost nonexistent. For that matter, so is the curriculum. Those students who dare to not participate in sports are given busy work: crossword puzzles, word searches, etc. All academics stop for volleyball and basketball seasons. Technically it isnt a violation of their accreditation because athletes aren't exempt from coursework, no one is given coursework just busy work.

Teachers are ineffective because they are bound and gagged by leadership, who micro manages everything. Students are disrespectful and foul mouthed, but the principal is unwilling to do anything about it for fear of losing tuition money. Racism is rampant, but the school is willing to hire unqualified or nearly qualified teachers so they tolerate the abuse. There's a reason why teacher turnover is so high. Many of the teachers are kind, but recognize that blind loyalty rules and that their jobs are not secure at all.

I think that the teachers try their best, but character is developed from the top down.

Leadership favoritism and bullying are fairly universal, but you wouldn't expect form a school that claims to uphold biblical principles. We've been to other Christian schools, but this is by far the worst school EVER. Our entire family left disillusioned and our faith in humanity broken. My son won't step foot in a church because of his experience with the principal of this school! She has abused her authority over children and proven to be as mature as the ones she's been entrusted to shepherd. Student enrollment has fallen below the minimum required to maintain accreditations or to cover operating expenses. The responsibility of making up the shortfall is now shouldered on the students (parents). It is also common knowledge that she intimidates students into participating in sports and cares more about the scoreboard than character development. She is also inconsistent enforcing school rules and policies, which conveniently change spontaneously.

Jesus Chapel focuses on sports and music. It is NOT a school for left-brained STEM kids. Children are also coddled here. There's something suspicious going on when the entire senior and junior year classes are inducted into the National Honor Society. The only students that aren't inducted either transferred into the school or cannot speak English at all. I honestly believe that the only reason this school has been able to maintain their accreditation is because the principal is a graduate of the university through whom they received it.

This school is horrible. The principal has favoritism torwards the students. No one cares at the school. Everyone disrespects the teachers. The teachers don't even teach what they are supposed to most of the time because they are listening to the students saying we don't want work and they listen so the students run the school. There is also alot of bullying at the school. I'm glad this is my last year at a place called a Christain school that feels like hell.

The teachers at Jesus Chapel go above and beyond to provide an excellent education to their students.

I would hope the students would not have so much homework on Wed. night, in order to attend church services.

I went to Jesus Chapel since i was in 3rd grade and i recently graduated from there. My experience at Chapel was like no other. they taught me to love Christ and love my friends there. My last year, id have to say, was my BEST one! i saw lives being transformed because of the Holy Spirit. Other years were great, but i felt like there was always something missing. My last year was filled of people that truly loved the Lord. we helped each other out and we kept each other accountable with our walk with Christ. The teachers are great and counsel us very well. Whenever we need something they are always there. The principal is the best in El Paso! She cares for the students so much, and although she knows she isn't perfect, she tries her best to be a great women of faith. i wouldn't have imagined my life at any other school. although people will always try and say negative things, i just have to say that God has truly transformed that school. and the past of Chapel is gone. Every student there is a leader! and im proud to say that i am a JESUS CHAPEL CHARGER! always will be!!!

I attended Jesus Chapel since i was in 3rd grade and i recently graduated from there. This school didn't just teach me great academic and athletic skills, but they taught me to love the Lord above all things. The teachers and principal are the best in all El Paso!! they are there to counsel you and help you with anything you may need. i was truly blessed to have attended this school. My last year, id have to say, was my best year at Chapel. i felt like everyone was just so engaged with the Lord, we all developed a great relationship with God and each other. and although many people say negative things about this school, i say that Chapel has never been so engaged with God then now. We had our bad years, but Chapel is better than ever. i feel like the Lord is calling Chapel to be so much more than what we have been seeing. I was privileged to have been at Chapel in the best year it has had so far. i know that as the years go on the students will just love the Lord more and will get closer to each other and Him! I'm excited to see Jesus Chapel grow and not just student wise, but spiritually as well!! Proud to have been a JESUS CHAPEL CHARGER, always will be one!!

My kids have been students at Jesus chapel for 4 and 2 years and every year I have done everything that I can to enroll them there. I'm not a parent that can afford private school but will do everything in my power to have JCS be a partner with me and my husband in molding them into having the character of Christ. No school is perfect, don't expect JCS to make your children perfect but they are in an environment where they are taught the word of God and disciplined according to the Word and the teachers see my kids as children of God and treat them as such. The JCS family environment is awesome, and my children have exelled academically at their young age. JCS will be our school as long as it is around....

My children have been blessed to attend JCS. The small classes allow for a lot of individual attention, and a family oriented environment. We have not loved every teacher we have had, but have worked through it and used those opportunities to develop the character of our children. I love that the number one priority of the school is to build their relationship to Jesus, while getting an accredited education and pursuing fine arts and athletics.

I would not want my children in any other school, they have helped me mold my children to have great character, have personal relationships with God and keeping them advanced academically.

I went to Jesus Chapel for my freshman and sophomore year and it was the worst experience I ever had. I was a great B-Ball player but the problem was I was outcasted because I was "new" 90% of the students started out in elementary. They were brain washed at a early age and taught that it was ok to bash new people and non sports playing students. I was also put down by numerous teachers and the principal put me down because I was so nervous I stuttered when I spoke to her, she told me "spit it out, speak". They would justify there actions with bible verses and I was in a state of depression the whole time I was there, and it took a few years to trust the human race ever again. One day I will go back after I graduate college and become successful and let them no how they hurt me, although I do not think it will matter to them.
