My kids have attended this school for 3 years and we have loved every teacher, and the staff know all of the kids names. Even during COVID, the teachers were great and did what they could to help the students be more comfortable and not be stuck to a computer for 8 hours.

I really like the papa bear program they have at the school with dads that volunteer. It's important that kids have a caring male role model. Also, too often, moms are expected to do all the volunteering so it's nice to see dads getting involved as well.

Some teachers give too much homework to the younger grades (1st - 2nd grade). Seems crazy when a 5th grader has less homework than a 1st grader every week.

Good school. My kids have had good teachers. Haven't had any issues. I appreciate their use of programs like iStation and IXL so that kids can download the apps at home and continue practicing using an iPad or iPhone.

My kids love this school. The teachers are very passionate and the kids learn about building and living in community. The staff is alway very helpful and friendly. I think it is a great school. My only complaint would be that children are given junk food, candy and other snacks by peers and teachers on an almost daily basis. This may just be the culture of the city, but it is very difficult to control or even be aware of what kids are eating throughout the day. Lots and lots of cupcakes, donuts and pizza being offered to kids. Bags of candy being brought in for any hint of a holiday party by each member of the class. It's excessive and does not lend to teaching healthy lifestyle eating habits.

The best school ever!!the principal and the teachers are excellent persons and professionals. i like the excellence in the education. Thank you Loma Verde for being an excellent school for our child's education!!
