My daughter had a horrible experience here. She was bullied and assaulted several times on school property and the principal only sent the kids to the counselors. I told her time and time again that the bullies needed to get suspended but she refused to do so, even with video evidence. Also, they had so many kids they were only allowed to move in one direction down the hallways and were not allowed to use the restrooms between classes or during class. Fort Worth ISD as a whole is trash. The only reason they have a high TEA report card score is because they refuse to suspend problem children, even when they are violent towards other children. Just look at the low number of suspensions on their TEA report card. Don't send your kids here if you care about their safety!!

It’s an alright school overall what I have been noticing is it’s a bit racist my child gets home and loves to tell me about their day but they mention a lot how their minority friends get ISS (in school suspension) while their Caucasian friends that perform the same acts of rebellion only get sent out of the classroom or just told to shush it’s concerning me now since they mention this almost every day another thing I’ve noticed is the students are lovely obviously but my child also mentioned that a group of students was bringing illegal substances as a parent I was shocked and also scared since I have heard nothing about this from school administrators I believe something of this seriousness should be announced to the parents But I’m not saying it’s a horrible school but I’m not happy with the way they run things

McLean 6th has been the perfect transition from elementary school into the middle school years. While this age can be quite challenging, I love how they can navigate it with only 6th graders. My child has loved his teachers! He says they are nice, understanding, and take the time to explain things. They are not only good at teaching, but most also make it fun and enjoyable.
The principal, Dr. Brown, has been very receptive to parent feedback and has done a wonderful job navigating the ever changing landscape of this Covid year.

We have had a fantastic year this year despite it being a different kind of year with Covid protocols. My daughter loves her classes and her teachers. She is being challenged, and loves the independence that McLean 6th gives their students. It’s been a great fit for our child!

McLean 6 provides the best balance between the sweetness of elementary school (in non-COVID times, parents still walk kiddos in on the first day) and the growing independence/responsibility that kids this age thrive on. The academics are exceptional and the teachers challenge the kids in encouraging ways. In our wonderful pyramid, Mc6 is a jewel!

McLean 6th has been great this year for our 6th grader even amidst all the challenges with COVID. I asked him today who his favorite teacher was and he said all of them. The school offers different levels of curriculum based on student needs and has a very rigorous Duro ilium for those seeking it! Looking forward to sending my other kids here as well.

We had 2 children attend this school recently. I felt they provided an excellent environment as 5 or 6 elementary schools came together into one school. I felt like overall they were very caring and understanding. The teachers are not perfect, but I was not expecting them to be. The system had flaws but administration and teachers were working on them. Principal is THE BEST! My children still go and visit some of the teachers. I think that says it all! I would rate the school a 7 or 8 with 4 stars.
