This school is disgusting. Kids Swear at teachers and get away with it completely and higher staff do nothing about it only say they will. they brag about how fights have decreased in the year? while grades are dropping. The passing rates are basically all below 0. Kids are very frequently bullied and nothing is done. People are not welcome and racism is everywhere including sexism. Kids are jumped and a girls braids were ripped out, even federal charges against students aren't unheard of, and kids having ankle monitors?? School is also very run down and nasty. smells.

As a student from here for 3 years now, I have a claim to make on this middle school now, this school can't seem to understand how to listen both sides of the someone's story now in types of bullying now. In my 6th grade years I was friends with someone who turns out to be problematic now, you know what they did? They reported falsely me 3 times now and I didn't even have any right to speak out on it too! The principal didn't really do anything about it and she just tells me to avoid my friend away now. SHE DIDN'T EVEN CHANGE CLASS TO BE AWAY FROM THEM! Also she didn't listen to my side now which I felt like I didn't have any rights to speak out about the problem I have. Now for my 7th year, my mental health was going unstable for some time now, but I didn't go to the counselor because I felt like she going to use words that tried to helpful in someway now, but I know so well that's a lie! Also the teacher at that time were not really happy to teach any subjects now, it was mostly gloomy and not really any happy activity to do, and for my math teacher, he didn't even explain how to do the math equations that well now so I have decide to Google search most of them because I literally didn't know how to solve them rightly now. In 8th grade now the the racism, the sexism, and other types of bad things in here are never been fixed rightly and the teachers are probably deaf cuz the students keep yelling out the n-word out and they don't just hear it and this includes profanity too! Plus in times were it's very obvious that someone is just full on bullying the other person, when the bullied person stands up for their selfs, they always get in trouble now! Never in my life HAVE I SEEN SEE ANYONE NOT GETTING IN TROUBLE FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING WRONG NOW!! Do not send your children down in this school if you want them to have mental problems and all of harassment they are going to have in their 3 years in this school!

attended this school as a kid and even then it was not up to the standards as it should be. Your child will go down a wrong path going to this school. I have nephews who attended and dropped out because of the constant harassing and bullies. This is not a good school. When my daughter was rezoned to this school I immediately withdrew her from pfisd. And she is attending harmony charter school and thriving best decision I ever made. This school changes kids and not for the better. Dont believe me look all of it up the rating, look up stories. It's not a good place to have your child. Steer clear.

My child loves this school and would not choose any other school. The teachers are responsive and go above and beyond.

There is a strong home/school balance with homework. The homework is not excessive.
Posted: April 23, 2018
The teachers truly care about the students. They work extensive hours outside the regular school day to make sure that students have opportunities for enrichment or extra help.

The principal is extremely involved and supportive of students. He is always seeking out new opportunities for them to be active partners on their education.

Students are bullied and when they defend themselves they get suspended. So I guess your suppose to let your kids be assaulted and just stand there and take it, teachers are lazy, principle is even lazier. Went to talk to her about an incident that happened and she was too busy eating breakfast tacos to even speak. Terrible school!!!!!!!

I went to Dessau middle school, I highly believe that you don't let your child attend this school because he or she will be bullied, I was there for two years and I was bullied to the point that I believed in there was no point of living. Then my parents changed my school and I went to Kelly Lane middle school, now that's a school I recommend, as soon as I walked through those doors everything changed nobody picked on me and I knew it was Gods blessing.

The staff and faculty at this school are apathetic and they simply do not care. They will do whatever takes the most minimal effort and they will throw everything off on the parents (or someone else). These are mostly low income needy kids who would thrive if someone just cared about them and took a little extra effort to help them along. These teachers give all teachers a bad name. There are very few who care at all. Hopefully, the new Principal can change that. Until then, your student will have a rough time here unless you are very very active and if you are like most parents in this area, you probably don't have the time to be so.

I am pulling my son out of this school and am putting him in private. My son tells me everyday about the things he experiences here and it amazes me. I feel sorry for the students that HAVE to stay that aren't a part of the problem. There are so many problem students attending this school and the "good" students are having to endure the results of the "bad" students problem "homelives". It is really sad. I went up to the school and spoke with the administration and even they told me they have never seen a class like this EVER in all the years they have been teaching. It is bad....really bad. My son has come home two times within the past two weeks crying. I'm OVER THIS SCHOOL!
