There is a teacher my child to me about, his name is Freddy Andrade. My child told me he doesn't care about the students in his class, that he doesn't teach the subject of pre-cal well, and that the teacher only help female students understanding the material. I know there's other teachers that do their work correctly but Andrade is not. When I went to the parents-teacher conference and went to talk to him, he ignored almost all of my questions and changed the subject whenever he could. He has a not a professional attitude at all.

There is a teacher at this school, named Moreno, who is behaving abusively and unprofessionally. He refuses to properly teach the Algebra 2 curriculum, denies students access to the bathrooms or water, and forces students to stand during class if he dislikes them. He frequently goes off-topic, discussing his personal life and insecurities instead of focusing on the lessons. Additionally, he instructs students not to allow their parents to email him and threatens to dock their grades. This behavior is unacceptable, and someone needs to take action to address this individual, who seems to believe he is above the rules simply because he holds a coaching position.

If your child has disabilities, do not send them here. The teachers completely disregard the accommodations for IEPs (which is illegal) and tell my kid his disability "isn't real," despite his medical diagnosis and the school papers to prove it. Nothing changed for my child's IEP even after many confrontations with the school. My child switched to Burges their senior year and now has perfect grades. Unfortunately, he cannot graduate on time, and many of the Burges teachers wish he were enrolled here instead so he'd have a chance at graduating on time. Many teachers and their narratives suggest disabilities aren't "real." I addressed this during an IEP meeting, and they'll tell you "that's just how the teacher is." If you are a teacher who believes learning disabilities aren't real, go ask that to a doctor and choose another career. My child had the potential to succeed; his only accommodation was a little extra time to turn work in due to his inability to process things as quickly as others. If you do enroll your child here, the school is generally unsafe. Multiple situations, threats, and real lockdowns occur, with the worst being last year when the school received a report of a photo of two school boys pointing a weapon at the school mirror. I know that students, including my own, had misunderstood this to be not just a photo, but two armed students and a real shooting. Im lucky my son is okay, but the false alarm detrimented his mental state.

This school doesn't care about their students, they will allow your child to be bullied, harassed, and belittled by not only the students but the as well. Please send your children elsewhere!

We moved here in July of 2015, and although it was a long process we were able to get our three older children in this amazing school. The attendance staff and teachers along with counselors are the best we have yet to experience. Ms Chapelle, was extremely helpful and dedicated during registration. The counselors along with Dr, Gonzalez( hope I got her name right) the principal was phenomenal and instrumental and getting the right classes schedule for our teens. So far, the teachers are just out of this planet, they are soo genuine, committed and devoted to our students' success that I get emotional just thinking how blessed we are to be part of the Chapin famiky. One more thing, coaches for softball, and basketball are the best and thank you to all of you that have touched our lives so far. Thank you and may God bless you all

CHAPIN HIGH SCHOOL is the BEST in the EPISD and NE El Paso!!! The school supports the military kids and is very much involved in the kids education. They offer a great magnet program and the teachers do care about their education!!! GO HUSKIES!!!

My school is Austin High School! We have got the best principal ever Dr. Tanner i will now be a sophmore and i think austin is the best recognized school we have a great student body and an Excellent staff! Class of 2016

While Chapin High School was built for the military community, it is run by EPISD and has a large percentage of non military students. While our children did well,the overall academic programs were below standard and we had to advocate for their needs regularly.

- What did you like? They have a great JROTC program.
- What did you dislike? The teachers expections for their students are very low due to the fact that many of the students do not speak english nor do they continue on to college. We found that we had to advocate for our kids to get the support they need for them to get into the colleges of their choice.
