Spears Elementary is truly a school where staff care for the students as their own. As a parent that had two kids go through Spears I was able to experience many teachers and staff through the years; old and new administration. Anytime my kids had a problem I would talk to them about it and get both sides; staff was always responsive and caring about bullying and handled things discreetly for all parties involved. As a parent we often don't know all of the things that happen to make a school run successfully, but I can say I trust every person in that building to care for my kids. I encourage you to ask questions and make a decision that is best for your child, not just base your decision on reviews.

Spears elementary is filled with hard working staff. They are attentive to student needs and all uphold amazing expectations that positively affect students inside and outside of the classroom. My student is able to tell me about conversations from their morning meetings and goals they need to reach in academics. My student has lots of friends and feels supported, would 100% recommend!

I’ve had 3 kids attend Spears Elementary School over the years, and unfortunately I’ve noticed the same pattern the entire time. Certain students seem to receive far more attention, recognition, and inclusion than others. I never fully understood why my children were rarely included in photos or highlighted until I witnessed it firsthand during an event. It was disappointing to see teachers focusing almost entirely on specific students while many others were overlooked. Every child deserves to feel seen, encouraged, and equally valued. I truly hope the school works toward creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students and families.

I went to this school for 2 years and the relationship was wonderful, my son loved going to school, he simply adored the teachers, but this year a new director came, the teachers changed and the relationship became worse. The teacher bullied my child all the time and the director did not want to help in any way. We had to change schools. I don't recommend going to this school.

The new staff does not care about the students. They care more for each other. Will make your child “the problem “ instead acknowledging they are bullies. The principal protects them. This is most of the staff, including the principal, first year. Apparently it’s ok for teachers to be rude to parents, bully kids, and play victim when called out. Do not trust this school

In this new school year there are too many people from other states who come to live in this Frisco, a town that was very calm and now it is crazy with the number of immigrants, apart from the fact that many of them come from cultures where they do not know respect for the people and places

My children have been there for many years, a dark-haired man in the uniform of a supposed "enforcement"" to whom I told him that I was against the street at school he wait for me to get to my car and he told me "you work here? He says no, shut up then “it's just my first day that we arrived here with a daughter who listened to all these bad comments from her father and a security server "what can we expect from the world"? This is really sad an upset for the Frisco Community

“” We need a Safe Person/ Police on the back the School”” I really saw a lot of un respect people

Awful expireince with third grade in 2019-2020 and the teacher caused me to be stressed and caused me stomach problems. A child should never have to go through that. Also the teachers are rude then whenever the principal walks in they act all sweet.

Huge problem at Spears Elementary. A lot of it has to do with what parents teach at home but this culture is enforced by some terrible teachers. Good luck if your kid is bullied by a wealthy kid with influence.

Heartbreaking. I am so terribly sad by what we endured at this awful school with unkind people.

Self righteous neighborhoods that feed into this school. If its not taught at home, its not getting taught.

Excellent school. We moved from Plano and we love it here. We were in a great Plano school district and were worried about the kids adjusting. That wasn't a problem at all. My Kindergartner now reads at 1st grade level. PTA involvement is excellent. Great facilities as well.

Since many off the reviews are from previous years I want to speak about Spears NOW. We were new to Spears last year and came from a private school knowing the Frisco schools were well rated but not knowing what to expect for sure. We came in when the new principal started and she has changed some things dramatically. She is very personable, very present, involved in the daily activities and in no way a "snob" as some parents described about the staff from years before. It was a tough transition coming from a small private school setting but after being there for 2 years I think this is an excellent school. It is true there are some parents that act immature but that is the case anywhere. I feel there are some very nice, down to earth, genuinely good people - parents, kids and staff. The teachers seems to be pretty good but we were used to having a very close relationship with the private school teachers and that's just not possible in a public school for so many reasons. Overall they truly care about the kids and I don't feel they are always "teaching to the test". We are very pleased with our experience so far at Spears with 1 child & have 2 more starting next year.

Excellent school. Very proud my child is part of Spears Elementary. The teachers are wonderful, caring, and very devoted. Could not ever find a school as good as Spears. Moved here from a terrible school district where kids carry guns to school. Every day I drop my child off at Spears, I am grateful and thankful he is getting the best education possible. That is worth more than anything in the world to me.

We love this school...Our first year was a little rough but only because the expectations are so high. Spears strives for excellence in both their teachers and their students. We moved from Carrollton where education was sub-standard. Love the area, love the parent involvement, love the seeds they are planting for our future generations. Thank you, Spears!
