As a parent, my experience at Roockbook Elementary has been deeply disappointing because I witnessed and experienced what discrimination looks like within a school setting. Families are not treated equally, and instead of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, there are clear signs of bias and exclusion.

Safety and trust are essential in any school, yet I did not feel that my child or my family was truly safe from unfair treatment, discrimination, or harsh judgment. The lack of genuine family engagement made it difficult to feel like a valued partner in my child’s education.

While schools should prioritize equity, respect, and fair treatment for all students and families, my experience here did not reflect those values. I hope the administration will take accountability and work toward meaningful change, but at this time, I cannot recommend this school.

The school administrators do not respect parents and their teachers follow the same pattern. Bullying and bad behavior are overlooked but God forbid a parent drives in the wrong drop-off/pick-up line! They will openly and unapologetically chastise parents. Jackets, lunch boxes, coats disappeared from the playground never to be seen again after being set down while my kids played during recess. Some teachers seem to be invested but I've noticed a trend that they don't stay here more than 1-3 years. Do your research before enrolling here.

Believe the reviews and ratings. Do NOT send your kids to this school! My child was belittled in front of the entire class by the teachers. Bullied by other students and no one cares. When situations are asked to be addressed you are ignored not only by the teachers but by administrators as well. The lack of respect and care for children as human beings disgust me. The response is well I’m busy! Wow. Teachers have no idea what your child needs help with academically bc they don’t care! I wish I would have believed the reviews and invested in a better education for my kids. Please, if u love your children seek better!

It was awesome! I went to Rockbrook from kindergarten to fourth grade and I absolutely loved it. I am now a seventh grader and Rockbrook has impacted the way I act now. I loved it so much and I hope I can visit soon!

We love Rockbrook Elementary. We love the principal, the activities,the teachers and our couselors are doing a great job so far. My daughter is happy and my 2nd daughter will go to K this august.

My kids have been going here since my son started kinder and my daughter started in 2nd. It's been amazing. They have continually pushed my daughter to challenge herself academically because she is ahead of curve, while on the opposite side of that, my son had a very hard time with change (still does). Each of his teachers have worked closely with me one on one to develop a plan that works, and to make sure we are all on the same page with disciplinary technique. Because of this, he has thrived and has come SO far over the last 2 1/2 years. Anyone who doesn't understand what is going on with your child, needs to have more open communication with the teacher and administrators. The VP is out there every morning, getting kids out of the cars, high fiving them, and both him and the principal are both incredibly active and involved with the students. You don't find teachers who really care and an administration staff that is so involved often. I'm incredibly happy my kids are here.

My child attended this school for 1 month and we pulled her out of her 2nd grade class. This school is HORRIBLE! The staff is mean and rude and one of the teachers put her hands on my child. This school has behavioral issues from students and staff.

Both of my children attended this school. My oldest child has gone on to middle school and is in all AP classes and on AB Honor Role every semester. It astonishes me that people have written negative reviews about this school and say that their child isn't learning. Maybe it's the child and not the school. My other son is going into 3rd grade at Rockbrook and is an exceptional student. I don't think that it's a coincidence that both boys happen to be wonderful students. It has a lot to do with the faculty and staff and parental support at home. I would recommend this school to anyone.

This school is great and doing well. Teachers are more experienced and have lots of opportunities for the kids to perform their personal skills. The new principal is so dedicated on the students education.

We are non citizen of US and my daughter had performed in talent show every year and was treated like other students. She was given opportunity to show her talent and was encouraged by the teachers. We are so happy with the school how the make children's learn good habits.

The teachers here care very much about their students. There are many nights I drive by and my child's teacher is still there working. I appreciate all of the time and effort put into my child.

My son is in kindergarten. Although I believe his teacher truly cares about him, I feel the school as a whole is failing him. He is a very intelligent and loving child, but can be stubborn and not adapt well to change. I was called to come get him - he was being suspended for behavior that had apparently been going on daily for 3 weeks. He has been extremely unhappy here, and he is not at all ready to move to first grade. Needless to say, I will be moving to ensure he is in a better school where he will get the all around support and nurturing needed to feel safe and be successful.

My daughter has not received the skills or knowledge she needs to be able to flourish when she transitions to sixth grade. They have no accountability from the staff. I wish I would've realized just how far behind they made her last year and moved her to a charter school.

I love this school! My son went there from 3rd to 5th grade. The faculty and staff are wonderful! My other child will be entering 1st grade. I would recommend this school to anyone!

Wow! The reviews of this school are quite interesting. I understand the discipline policies may seem like the principal wants the students to be silent all of the time and that they use a policy called CHAMPS. Please read up on this if you have not been educated on the policy as it is a policy that many schools within the district and state use. This policy is used to keep the students safe. I would rather have my be student safe than the teacher have to spend time on discipline issues and my child be left behind and something happen that the teacher didn't see because of dealing with other students. As for the amount of years teachers have been teaching...check out the school's website...most of the teachers have been teaching for 20 plus years. There are some new teachers, but if they are not given a chance to get experience, how will they ever learn? Did you have experience in your career when you started or did you pray that someone gave you that chance? Put yourself in the place of a teacher...

this school is the worst ever! I agree with the person who said "its a prison in disguise". tonight they made me cry when I found out that I didn't get chosen for the talent show because they were only letting 3 kids from every grade level perform in the talent show. the discipline is ridicules and I often see kids cry about it. also the swearing and bullying is crazy. the staff and teachers are very rude to students and teachers. I have spent a total of 4 1/2 years here and can't believe I survived it. I don't recommend this school to anyone.

I detest this school. This is a prison disguised as a school for adults and children alike. Your child is considered to be tardy promptly at 7:50a, and if it happen's too often, you will find yourself in court. paying ridiculous fines and fees. The teachers come straight out of college with no experience, and your children will suffer. They micromanage everything and make good parents doing the best they can look like bad ones, and they could care less about your struggles. I am not renewing my lease at the end of the summer just to be rid of this school. What a horrible mistake, staff, and school. I regret my choice to attend. Don't believe the hype of the reviews, that was 2+ years ago.

My son went to 1st grade here, in 2011-2012. While the school itself was fine, I couldn't help but question the fact that every single note/newsletter/email/form sent home from his teacher had huge mistakes in spelling, grammar and punctuation. She was very kind and patient with the kids, but gosh... spell check, otherwise the parents are going to question your ability to teach their children.

We moved to Texas from California and this school was so helpful and accommodating. I really like this school. Look forward to it in the fall. Really liked my daughter's teacher and the entire office staff. This school is great.

My daughter started at this school end of August and i love this school, her teacher is Awesome and the staff is great they really go out of there way to make sure you child/ren are well took care of...THIS SCHOOL ROCK'S!!
