I highly recommend this school. As an international student, I initially felt that the school wasn't particularly accustomed to working with international students. However, all of my teachers went above and beyond to help me succeed. Although my English skills were not the best, their support was invaluable in helping me improve. The counselors were kind and made an effort to assist me in various ways. The classroom environment is comfortable, and the education provided is of a high standard. The students are generally passionate and truly kind. Everyone is so friendly, making this school the best!

I attended NUAMES and unfortunately, my experience at this school was extremely disappointing. Despite the school’s promises, the faculty and staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. It felt like they didn’t care about the students at all. In fact, I felt silenced by some of the teachers , who wouldn’t allow me to express my opinions on topics we were discussing in class. The student body was no better. Many of the students were rude and stuck-up and bullying was rampant on campus. Overall, I would not recommend this school to anyone. It’s a toxic environment that’s not worth the time, money, or effort. The school is not everything it promises to be, and my experience there was just as bad as my previous school, if not worse.

Excellent. Both of my daughters graduated with Associates Degrees. They were more than just "college ready" they were already college students and more than half way to their Bachelor Degrees.

The teachers are amazing. They expect a lot from students and show them how it is possible.

Polite, engaged kids and staff. The kids are encouraged to embrass their quirkiness. We love NUAMES!

As a student about to graduate from NUAMES with my associates... I can't express how grateful I am to the opportunities given by NUAMES. Their partnership with Weber state is amazing and gives the students an extra step. The faculty, the teachers are the best. They are so understanding and straight with their students. I couldn't have asked for a better school. The councilors are always there for you. Lori Drake will be the one to stop a student in the hall and tell them to stay on track! The environment is strictly a college environment. Everyone still acts as their own person. There's just a large opportunity for your child to find more friends at NUAMES but it's not a promise. I myself typically stay to myself. The only problem I've seen is some administrative issues but those have been taken care of through my stay at NUAMES. If you feel the administration is rude or unjust, it's usually just one lady in the office and we all know her. She is usually stressed with a lot dealing with NUAMES so some slack is needed. I highly recommend this school to any parent or student that wants amazing opportunities, great teachers, and the college environment.

The school environment is as promised, but students and the administration aren't what I personally was promised. The faculty on the other hand I LOVED they were amazing at keeping up with each student. Also when I came here I was told everyone's very friendly and helpful not true there's still bullying and people who don't have anyone to talk to. It's a great learning experience not so much of a friendly environment though.

I visited the school for information to investigate it as an option for my child and could not have been more unimpressed with the administrators. Unhelpful, uninterested, and rude. I left thinking, "If this is one of the best schools in the area then American education has really fallen to new lows and parents better realize the home is the only place left where a child will get a decent education." The teachers and classes may be good here but the administration should be replaced before I'll consider this school for my children.

This school is incredible. It is one of the coolest environments you will ever be in. Students get along and interact with each other. Not to mention, the education is outstanding. I graduated NUAMES with my associates degree and only had to pay for my books. You cannot get that anywhere else. The teachers care and are always there to help. The administration is top notch. No wonder it is the envy of charter schools everywhere.

NUAMES is extremely unique. Having never gone to a public school in Utah, I can't comment on its difficulty; however, most students say it's quite a bit more rigorous than most Utah public high schools. Most of its teachers are great at what they do, and all are very passionate about their respective subjects. I wasn't impressed by the administration in the least (the reason it lost a star). I came to this school for one reason only: to get an Associate's degree in high school. I would, without hesitation, strongly recommend the Early College program; it's rigorous, valuable, and usually free. I can't express how much it's helped me mature and thrive in high school. Academically strong students should definitely consider it. Those who have reservations about the program due to AP classes offered elsewhere should know that Early College classes at Weber State earn students more college credit and are easier than their AP counterparts. That being said, NUAMES doesn't have any sports or many of the usual high school activities. Students who don't quite fit in at traditional schools usually thrive here, but athletes and those involved in arts might find the activities unfulfilling.

I have been disappointed with the leadership of this school. The school is administered similar to an ordinary HS with micro-managers who don't understand excellence in teaching. We have considered leaving; however, our boys are very happy and have been inspired by a couple of their teachers. The board needs to take a serious look at the current administration, and have the administration undergo regular evaluations. I have given the school 3 stars versus 5 because of the administration, and the Boards inability to recognize the flaws.
