I Graduated Davis High in 2018 and I loved my 3 years there. The school offers a lot of opportunities to learn and advance your education past the status quo. I took 24 college dual credit hours, despite never being a 4.0 student in junior high and struggling with a 504 learning difficulty. They offer AP and CE credit classes in addition to the standard courses. They have a make-up period every Wednesday to help students get caught up on assignments/visit any class they need help with for tutoring or late work. Socially Davis can be pretty click-y but there are lots of good people and counselors to look out for bullying/kids being isolated. The Special education class was impressive to see ( from my outside perspective), they have TA's and student volunteers to attend the class with and help our special needs classmates. Honestly they looked like they have more fun than the rest of the students.

Davis is a very great school with good teachers and good students. I attended Davis as a student from 2018-2021, and never once did I really witness any bullying or harassment by students, teachers, or the administration. Not only is it a safe school, it's in a very safe neighborhood right next to the historic downtown of Kaysville. The only thing I can say that is "bad" about this school is that a few of the kids that go here are higher-income kids from Fruit Heights, and you know how these affluent kids can be sometimes. Other than that though it really isn't a problem and anyone that goes here should be able to enjoy themselves with a nice group of friends or just knowing they went to a pretty alright school with little to no hiccups along the way. I've had three students attend this school over the past 9 years and unfortunately we have two more years to go.
We've had so many problems with the teachers, counselors and administrators. The counselors at this school don't not care about the futures of their students. They are just working for a paycheck. They couldn't care less about the students.
Most of the teachers here that we've had the misfortune of dealing with have had the typical overpaid babysitter mentality. Gym coaches teaching other subject they're not qualified to teach. Teachers not actually teaching at all. The students are given laptops with a website and basically left on their own to figure out the rest. When students do ask for help they are told to go to the video instruction page and it will explain the assignment.
Teachers do just as much bullying as students and administrators don't believe the students or parents and do nothing about the problems brought to their attention.

Really great school for talent development, as well as academic performance. Students there are nice regardless of their religious beliefs. They are not as cocky as students from other school (from first hand experience). It's sad that this school does not have racial diversity. But this school is a great school to prepare for college!

I graduated from Davis High years ago. It is a solid school, but it is also the whitest, most Mormon and conservative school in an extremely white, Mormon, and conservative state.
Academically, the Honors and AP classes are good, but the regular courses are average.
Socially, the graduates of Davis High are well prepared to attend BYU or BYU-I where their ethnocentrism, homophobia, and sense of religious superiority can remain unchallenged, and even encouraged.
Having said that, I enjoyed my time there and believe I was well prepared academically for difficult college work. There are a few (a very few) teachers and students who will challenge the status quo and think for themselves.

I attended Davis High as a student and absolutely loved my experience there. Now that I am an educator I can see more clearly than ever how wonderful Davis High really is. Davis is known across the state as the top AP school in Utah with more offerings and higher pass rates than nearly all other schools. They also have a strong music/theatre/arts program including choir, show choirs, Moonlight Jazz Singers, band, marching band, jazz band, orchestra, social dance, jazz dance, dance company, D'ettes, theatre, and musical productions (which is taught by one of the most amazing teachers I have ever come in contact with). The students are friendly and hold themselves to a high standard academically as well as morally. I almost want to move my family back to Kaysville just so they can have the amazing high school experience I did at Davis High.

Coming from a run down school on Oahu Hawaii Davis High School has been the best school I have ever attended. Not only am i able to be in college and get college credits i am! THE BEST SCHOOL EVER I LOVE DAVIS!!!
