The constant bullying was putting my kids metal health at risk. We pulled him out of the school after a year and a half and are now home schooling him. He is doing so much better now.

Let's be real, Junior High is not a great experience for anyone. Everyone at that age struggles knowing who they are and dealing with the physical changes they are experiencing. However, what could make these three years great is a wonderful, kind, and supportive staff which this school really doesn't have. Some teachers there are amazing (specifically Mrs. Burton, and Mrs. Tingey amongst a few others) however, many of the teachers appear to dislike their job and their students. Some teachers don't teach and instead show youtube videos. Others yell and scream consistently during every class. Others throw things at students. I personally didn't enjoy my time there too much and I was a quiet, and reserved student.

They talk about it in the beginning of the year assembly and don't talk or show interest about the mental or emotional wellbeing of their students any other time except then

It's fine and tolerable but they really don't know how to solve problems efficiently and how to not favor the popular kids because even some of their faculty only like the popular kids and the principal and vice principal only ever dress code the regular kids where instead of the popular kids when the popular kids have the denim in their ripped jeans hanging off their legs by one thread and then you have a normal student who has a tiny rip in their jeans or has "too short of sleeves" when the popular girls are wearing full blown crop tops to school.

The afterschool homework help is really great and you can find a teacher for any subject of homework that is willing to help.

Most of the teachers are really great and helpful and want to be there for their students to learn and grow and just be good kids but some of them just obviously hate their jobs and don't put any effort into being helpful at the least

They have the new special needs program and its great! There are some other kids with special-ish needs and they are pretty good about working with them on a level that is compatible for both the teacher and the student

I love the school. Great programs. The only downside to Kaysville JR. is the attendance secretary, I don't know if she hates her job or if it is just a miserable place to work. But every time I've gone in to check out my child she is very rude and just seems unhappy. But the teachers are pretty great! And my child enjoys going there.

This school is great for those who are considered popular, outgoing, selfish, and maybe even bullies. I attended for my first year of junior high and was bullied to the point where I became suicidal. Even my 'friends' didn't have time to be around me because there was so much going on.
