Fairfield Jr. High has administration, teachers, and counselors who care about the students. There are a number of English Language Learners who have Spanish-speaking TAs and aides who help students learn English and become successful. I like what I see in their efforts to improve equity. They recognize student achievement and have large posters and incentives for students with improvement in class.

The AP Geography teacher has lots of experience and has great outcomes with most students passing the AP test. There is also AP french, and a continuation of a strong french immersion program.

There is a very active HOPE squad, and a variety of clubs and activities including Science Olympiad, robotics, GSA, colorguard, NAL, D&D, as well as sports teams.

I would give zero stars if I could. My student has been severely affected by this school. It's too bad a few bad apples spoil the barrel at this school. I never thought I'd be writing a review like this, we have always loved and supported our local schools. If you are not a naive parent that is easily bullied, this school will not be a good fit. Do like us, and know your rights, and push for change. ALL students, especially those with 504s or IEPS deserve a great education and to be respected.

They don't hold students to high standards or have deadlines. They allow and even teach students to procrastinate, many students wait and turn in massive loads of work right before the end of the term. Many teachers don't keep grades updated and don't utilize canvas or technology.

They do the bare minimum, if that. Extremely disappointed. Worst school ever. Only a few teachers seemed to care, so much energy spent to even have them do things somewhat correctly. Never had any issues before. I'd say half the teachers were supportive, the others clearly made that not matter at all unfortunately.

The sad thing is, some employees bully students and parents. Unsure how they handle bullies who are students. They certainly don't lead by example.

I honestly couldn't stand this school, the kids were very judgmental it was very hard to get into different social circles so if you got stuck in the wrong one you were basically trapped there.

AWESOME SCHOOL! Teachers, students and staff are amazing, both my children love going here! Home prices are slightly more expensive in this area than farther North, but this school and Davis High School are worth the extra investment.

I was new at FFJH last year. The teachers were great and I learned well but not as well as my old school. The office and principal staff is hard to work with and I absoulty hated it last year. The students here are not welcoming and very judgmental. I was so glad to be rezoned to a new school the following year.
