If your child is special needs or has any developmental disabilities, I do not suggest taking your child to the school they may come home covered in bruises and broken bones. Also, when incidences have happened, they do not call the parents and when the parents start to inquire about what’s going on, then they start looking into the child and making up stories about what the child has said and or done. This isn’t the first incident we have had either. We’ve had staff share personal information about our students to other students. That is highly against FERPA

I enrolled my child with special needs at this school, but I always felt like the teachers looked down on me for advocating and speaking up for my child. They didn't understand my child's condition or our situation and it felt like they would rather not even deal with us. It was a struggle to coordinate care and a learning plan with the teachers at Adams

Outstanding. I am so fortunate that my daughter was able to attend this school She has grown a lot and is turning into a fine young lady thanks, in part, to her education. I, also, love the fact that the kids have so much recess. It is proven that this makes a big difference in our children's ability to learn and stay focused. I know it has mattered for my daughter.

The principal and all of the teachers have been wonderful They are kind, engaged, yet firm when required. I just can't say enough good things.

I currently have three children at Adams Elementary. My Jr high student was there last year, too. This school has been amazingly helpful with my kids. My kids range from very smart to some with learning difficulties. The teachers and staff have reached out to each of them, providing opportunities for each to excel. I've worked closely with staff, teachers, parents and the administrators and can say with 100% certainly that this school is completely dedicated to helping its students despite the frustrating red tape placed in front of them by well-meaning legislatures.

There have been attempts by both the school and the PTA to help counter bullying. Unfortunately it isn't 100% effective and I do have a child that doesn't like to attend school because of his bully. I don't blame the school for this. I just wish the measures taken had worked to help my child have a more positive experience in school.

Most teachers have a great approach, limiting homework to nightly reading or a page each night to help reduce the stress at home. This is also very helpful in home, such as ours, where we have five children in public schools that equates to a lot of time devoted to helping with homework. There is a teacher or two that I feel is a little excessive. In these situations I set the pace to help the child complete as much as possible, though usually homework is handed in only partially completed.

Adams elementary. I have 2 kids at Adams. I don't agree with the early outs. I think the kids have too much "free time." My kids have two 15 minute recess a, 40 minute lunch (which I don't have a problem with) and gym. Also there's no security. The school that my kids went to before had cameras and the doors were locked once school started. You had to buzz to get into the school. I've also had problems with my one son not being dropped off at his stop. It may not be a big deal to the school but when you have to get in your car and chase the bus down that's a problem. There was another incident where I was trying to find out where my son was. I call 2 times to tell the school he was to ride the bus home. 15/20 minutes after he was suppose to get off the bus I found out that the school never put him on the bus. The staff is pretty nice but think they should look at educating the kids more and security.

This school year week be the 3rd one that my children will be attending Adams, we love it there. I have 2 kids that utilize special education services, and Ms. Arnold has been a phenomenal positive influence on them, instilling confidence, as as teaching them patience, good study habits, and fostering a love for learning. We adored Principal Chambers, and are excited to get to know Principal For Bush.

Conform, conform, conform....The principal puts English as a second language students and her teachers above other children and what parents feel are best for their children. The PTA only picks their friends to be room mothers and there are no Halloween parades or kindergarten graduation. What do parents get to be involved in? I have to consider home school above sending my child one more year here.
