Principal allowed a teacher to smash a chair pver an autistic child's back. Jordan Mangum, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for defending the teacher instead of the student.

Teachers and office staff take weeks, even months to respond to issues.
Curriculum is literally nonsense and kids keep getting sick due to lack of sanitation in the school.

Bullying is always going to be an issue. But Polk faculty tries to prevent it.

All three of my kids went to Polk. My oldest has since graduate high school. And I one still there. So sad he won't be able to graduate Polk like his older siblings.

Fantastic school, wonderful teachers and staff. They give many different opportunities to excel in all areas. For those excelling they have PEP and projects to challenge the students, along with programs to help those struggling. All the teachers and staff know the children by name and love them. We are very pleased with all of our five children's learning experiences at Polk Elementary!

My child has been in this school for four years. The staff is always willing to adress my concerns and find ways to work things out. My child has some emotional issues which all of the teachers have dealt with gracefully and effectively. I plan to keep my kid in this school till it time for middle school.

This school is going down hill and fast. Very disgusted with the lack of personality from the new principal. We had an amazing principal last year, but the sup canned him and left us with a sergeant! As a parent, I am very concerned. Test scores for school are great (improved significantly last year with old principal). Sad thing is I have to drag my son to school now. He used to love coming last year, but can't stand school class this year. There are some really good teachers, sadly not this year for my son. Looking at other options for next year.
