this schools admin do not care about kids being bullied. both me and my sister have gone to this school for 3 years and do not care about their students. my younger sister was being bullied for 2 years and never once did the group of boys bulling her receive any kind of punishment other than a talk. the teacher in the class room even sided with the group of boys making fun of her. she was however sent to in lunch detention for going home for lunch. mind you her and her friend were the only ones (both are hispanic) in lunch detention while the white boys who were bulling her and calling her names went on with their day. the teachers aren't allowed to teach any differently from other teachers which also makes it hard for kids to find learning paths right for them. they care more about spending money on nice whiteboards and vape detector than good ac or heating. if you care about your child's mental well being DO NOT send them here.

I am a 9th grade student here at North, I've been here since 7th grade and let me assure you, this is definitely not a 5 star school. The front desk faculty service is very bad, the school spends more money on TVs than they do helping students learn. The counselors here are not good, they seem to act like they care about you when you are in their office with them, but then just treat you like they've never met you once you leave it. This school does not pick up on bullying AT ALL, you'd think all their 200+ cameras would be able to see that, guess not. The teachers don't really try to help you if you are failing. Studies show that students who get increasing amounts of homework are more likely to develop depression and anxiety due to excess stress, and let me tell you, this school gives you more than just "increasing amounts" of homework. Most nights I get less than 5 hours of sleep because I have unfinished homework (8-10hrs recommended by NSF & AASM). Not to mention, the faculty here seem to favor girls over boys, let me give you an example. A girl says a boy is cheating off of here test, the boy has multiple witnesses that say otherwise, nonetheless he still gets a 0 just because that one single girl didn't like him. Now, what does that effect you ask? Well, that same boy now goes home and his parents are mad at him because he failed the test. He tries to explain to them what happened, and they just think it's an excuse. Now from things like this happening various times, the boy now doesn't want to speak up about such things, and later can develop trust issues, and from all of the stress from arguing with his parents, he can develop feelings of worthlessness and anxiety. So then every time he goes home, he is worried that his parents will just yell at him, again. That is just one of many theoretical examples. This school needs some extreme work on it's staff, and also it's money spending habits.

I am a 9th grader and I love this school. Compared to any other it is the bomb!!! Great people, great staff, great choir program. This school has some of the best lunch ladies in the district. There are teachers who come from other schools and come to our school because we have district renowned lunch cooks. If your questioning whether or not to move here what are you doing? You should already be here! <3

This school is so clean and awesome. I don't think that any school could be more united and kind than this one. Everyone there is very welcoming and open to everyone. New kid? Whatever. BFFs now. transfer student? we'll help you to get on track! If you have to choose any school for the "kindest school" award, it would definately be this one.
