We have really enjoyed this school. My son is only in first grade but we have really enjoyed our experience so far. The teachers we have gotten have been great, and really aware of my kid and his strengths. They have also been very understanding and helpful when we have needed assistance. The school has kept us very well informed on what is going on, and what the school offers for their students. We've had a great experience this far.

I left the school because all the kids in second grade were not taught right or were very sad like me. In kindergarten I got in trouble because because I showed off a cool Lego build at an indoor recess. I also did find my lifelong best friend. Well, that’s basically the best part of kindergarten. First grade and nothing really bad happened so I’ll just skip to second grade. The second grade teacher yells a lot, apparently most of the kids guardians taught them swearwords and they said them at school, for some reason said kids were allowed to watch and play games that were definitely not appropriate for a bunch of eight year olds, and last, but not least said kids were really really mean to me. I would send your kid to the school, but maybe you have to see if your kid makes friends pretty easy or else they will probably be sad for a time in their life like me.

There is not a lot to the homework and they don't at all monitor the folders to where I have written notes and found them again the next day and doesn't seem organised or clear

Alot of them seem highly appatheic and just there to bare minimal or just bs with other staff or teachers but not all helpful or welcomeing to anyone near not mention rude and kinda like your waisting my time attitude- just super not pleasant

We've had over five bullying situations and all the staff and or teachers say or have said is oh well did you say stop and oh well we'll talk to them but then the same person retaliates and some the staff and teachers attitude was still and is appatheic and uninformative and literally says we can't tell you what we'll do or we can't tell you what was done or we can't say who did it . It's really so extremely frustrating does not at all get resolved we're still dealing with it get the same oh well we'll talk to them but theissue never stops and we have no idea if the parents are brought into the issues it's hard for the child being bullied cause it feels like the crys for help are on empty ears that's attitude is oh kids whatever.

So the bullies and teachers and staff just seem all hey doesnt matter and no accountability or at least resoultion that's clear

Is there a retraining we can request for everyone there???

It seems more like a lot of the staff would rather pass the buck off to someone else to handel a situation even bulling and not at all tell you what they will do or what will happen and not allllll reassuring to kids it's really exhausting

They technically have a reading help group but seem to lack the teaching ability for students with different needs in the actual class room the school just has them removed into a different room. For a while where they learn with other kids with the similar issue but in class seems struggles hard to grasp different learning styles

I would say a 0 star if I could but don't want to be too harsh. My child has been bullied non stop by at least five different kids within the first half year of school and the staff has a extremely appatheic un informing approach or explanation to were the child and Myself have NO idea if they dealt with it until I keep bugging my kid about it who still doesn't understand if they did and teachers literally tell me we can't tell you how well handel it.
Not to me mention they have what appears to be 50+ children and literally 2 adies outside with the kids and I see bulling and they just stand around joking with each other or trying to Handel stuff while it's caoas everywhere where they say hey sit on the wall for five minutes-- I do NOT ever get a notice from ANYONE when someone punched my daughter or picks on her so I have to go in literally every time to say hey this happened why am I not being notified and what are you doing and I get we can't tell you. I've teachers walk their while class to the outside trailers things but the teacher will go in first shut the door with maybe a handful of kids while the rest of 15 kids just play around outside and FIGHt or call each other names. They are all sooooo appatheic with horrible communication it's depressing to my child to be there no with Windows ANYWHERE in the classrooms to out outside. Such a horrible school with most staff ridiculously un friendly and rude and dismissive and to be honest lazy .
My daughter even has a special learning program and still half way through the year have NOT talked to me adjusting it I've asked TWICE to have it adjusted.

We'd like help to contact the schools district to maybe retraining the whole school it's bad.

It's not family friendly. Parents aren't included in may activities. As a parent I need to know because my child has a special diet and I either need to bring food in for my kid or my kid will get left out. The school is old and not equipped to handle the amount of children that go there. The play ground is too small so they have to walk around the track for one of their recesses. Also, the school ground isn't fenced in so anyone can walk onto the school ground. The school is constantly asking for donations. My child's class earned an activity last year by bringing in money and then didn't get to do the activity. I feel like this school is the forgotten school in Weber School District.

Class sizes are large since this is a public school. My son was being bullied and neither the teacher, principal or lunch monitor did anything to address it. We ended up switching schools so he could focus on academics.

There are a few that are very ineffective. I've had teachers that I have met with and we work out a plan and they drop the ball on there end.

The principal, counselor and playground staff do not handle kids being bullied very well. They teach the kids not to do it, but then when your child is being bullied, then you child is the one that gets in trouble. The teachers have been great and do a good job.
