Great school, I actually switched my child's school to be a part of Randolph elementary. It has been a great experience. My son loves it, and everyone makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. My son is in Kindergarten, he has learned so much.

An elementary school with an IB program. The school is incredibly diverse. The teachers work hard and care for the kids.
The principal and assistant are also fantastic. They did a great job before, during and after covid.

We have been a Randolph family since 2014 with both my kids and decides not to move out just because how much my children have been happy at this school. The teacher, staff and administration are all extremely dedicated to the students and their overall well being and extremely welcoming to reaching out to parents. The Score system does not do justice as this school is way more than meets the eye. It's extremely diverse and embraces different cultures and are welcoming to all. Students are happy at this school and loves their teachers.

We have been a Randolph family for more than 7 years. The test scores do not do justice to the extraordinary academic growth and support provided for students. We love the IB focus on preparing life-long learners who are global citizens and how IB is infused throughout the school. The teachers and staff are caring and dedicated. They have sophisticated approaches to differentiated learning so that all students are challenged appropriately. I know several families (including our own) whose children are now successfully navigating middle school, high school, and college.

Based on reviews, we were really worried. However, now I don't want to leave the school. We moved in the middle of the school year and my goal was to stay in this school. My realtor had to pull a rabbit out of a hat, but I was able to stay at the school.

As a parent, we absolutely love Randolph for our daughter. She loves going to school every day, is obsessed (in a good way) with her teacher, and has made many new friends. We love Randolph's diversity and that the school embraces the multiple cultures that make up the student body. Randolph's IB program is very special, and it has some of the smallest class sizes in Arlington county. There's only 16 kids in my daughter's class! We feel lucky we found this school. The current GreatSchools score does not reflect all of the learning and growth at Randolph. I also expect that under Mr. Ramirez's new leadership, the score may increase with time.

We have a child in early elementary and are blown away with the quality of the teachers, the personalized attention that students receive, and the supportive community. This is a very diverse school where children's families are from all over the world and families speak something like 25 languages. The school does a phenomenal job bringing families together, making everyone feel welcome and teaching the children. We also appreciate the IB program, the values it instills and the focus on asking questions. Our daughter has made significant academic progress and loves school. We are very happy.

My son is now a 1st grader at Randolph Elementary School and thoroughly enjoys going to school everyday. He always displays a sense of enthusiasm towards what he is learning at school and eagerly shares wealth of knowledge with us. The small class sizes, familial environment, community involvement and hard working staff make Randolph a great place to send your child. The faculty and staff treat your child like their own and always make the school a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Students who have moved on to middle school and high school year after year return to visit their teachers and also the principal. Most students walk to school which contributes to the feeling of community. The school offers a wide variety of activities and events that students, parents, local businesses, and volunteers can participate in throughout the year. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and very helpful. It is a jewel of a school.

Since kindergarten my daughter has been ddiagnosed with adhd, said to have signs of depression, has been given an IEP, and had a history of stretching the truth. I have been reported to child protective services twice, have been offered help, but the help I need has not been completed. I am at the Piont of being afraid to ask for more services for having having been reported in the past. My daughter has been labeled as a trouble maker, but have not had the requirements of her IEP met. I tried going to counselor for support, even the principal.... but in the end, have had little support. The school seems to play on favoritism....which I have no idea how to join the club! It is scary setting your child fall between cracks at such an early stage! There is also poor communication within its system!

Test scores are not the best judge of how your child will thrive in a school with a low teacher to student ratio. This IB school has the most amazing principal and great teachers. The fact that the majority of the students have parents whose first language is not English speaks volumes on the overall test scores. Our son knows more about other cultures and has a greater appreciation of them than he would ever get at one of the homogeneous schools in North Arlington.
