oh boy swanson is built different. my grandfather went there my dad went there and so did I, so pretty much its an old school and they havent won much to modernize it. The teachers are mid the counselors are mid. Students are below mid but the assistant principals for each grade are absolutely amazing.
swanson smells like b.o PE-U!

What passes for "education" at Swanson Middle School is highly politicized and there is very little tolerance for viewpoint diversity.
Like other district schools, there has been notably less rigor at Swanson in recent years (a trend that is likely to continue).

Our kids do not have learning differences, so no real experience with this.

The culture at Swanson is very egalitarian, and therefore we have seen little evidence of any bullying.

We had concerns about the school due to large size and the large numbers of trailers. We were very happy and pleasantly surprised by the way the different teaching teams (grades are broken into teams) broke things down and really got to know the kids. It really felt like they knew who my kid was and he was not just a number.
