This school used to be very respectful, but this past school year the teachers (especially the 5th grade teachers) have been so disrespectful to my daughter. Even going as far to talk bad about my other son and his educational decisions. He and nothing to do with the conversation and the teacher brought him up. Ive spoke to the school and called multiple times regarding other incidents like two girls bullying my daughter and pulling her hair. Surprisingly they did nothing at all. This school needs better teachers that respect and care.

In two words, simply amazing! I have 2 children that attend Dale City elementary and they continue to thrive. I can tell that my children are being taught by some of the most dedicated teachers I have ever met. Thank you for all you do! One happy parent:)

This school is wonderful..My daughter has attended DCES since Kindergarten and she loves every minute of it. The school does a wonderful job of communicating with me about anything. The school also has a great staff. I love how the principal or vice principal greet the children every morning at the kiss and ride, and if they are not there then another staff member is. The staff is wonderful every teacher my daughter has ever had has been wonderful. Also notice that this school does not have a very big turn over rate and I love that. The only this is the lack of parent involvement but I blame that on the school I would have loved to have been part of PTA meetings but the times were wrong 4pm is hard for most parents to get there and be active with the meeting if it was maybe later like 6pm or 7pm i think it would have been easier for most. Im glad to be a parent of a child of a school like this. Very personable and friendly everyday..My daughter will be leaving this year to go to middle school but glad to have my 5year old attend kindergarten next school year!

My daughter has attended DCES for this full year after transferring from Fairfax county last year. The first thing that struck me was the increased attention paid to her IEP status. The faculty was more hands on and proactive as a result of the lower enrollment and the ability to provide more one to one time. As a result, she will recieve her first A/B Honor Roll for this year. The only thing that keeps them from receiving 5 stars is the lack of timelyness in distribution of the many technological assets available to help the students. We didn't find out until almost the end of the first reporting period what the school recommended web sites were to help students with course work. Also the parent involvement in activities such as PTA remains poor. All things considered a very good school.
