I honestly do NOT recommend this school, this place is old and falling apart. Most people here are mean, rude, and make fun of you for the dumbest reasons. Teachers are also very lazy in this school, giving you thick packets of work to be due in a day for a summative assignment. There are only a few nice, and friendly teachers who teach great, but if you can, go for ANYTHING but this school like Lake Ridge, Porter Traditional, or Rippon Landing.

Honestly, Woodbridge Middle School is ok. Special education kids mostly get bullied due to their learning differences. Many students don't get caught doing bad things. Most of the teachers teach pretty well. Overall, it is a decent expierence.

This school is terrible, the teachers don’t care about the students except a select few out of many. Administration in the school is way too harsh on the students and abuse their power greatly. Vast majority of teachers are lazy and this requires students to learn most of the material by themselves. Overall this school is definitely a nightmare to put lightly don’t send your kids here.

Well. Where can I start. The biggest issue they have is miscommunication or no communication. My daughter been assaulted many times on the bus by another girl. And I raise the issue to the principal, but unfortunately, we heard back from her after 2 months to tell us that Forwarded our email to the transportation department. Principal took no action whatsoever. The safety on the bus and locker rooms is very huge issue in Woodbridge Middle. I wish I had another choice. I'm writing this review after my daughter arriver with pen stabbing holes on her hand and head, that same girl did that to her and draw on her with no ink on the pan. Basically, she carved the drawing on her skin .

This schools food is un eatable its raw and unseasoned. There is also not a good varity of food here they need a no dairy option and just better food in general Woodbridgee andd PWCS can do better

I have registered my daughter almost two weeks ago. After a week she still wasn’t in the system I was calling the school and nagging about it till finally two days after she was able go to school and now still no bus assigned for her to pick her up to and from school! I have called school and they told me to set that up myself! Registration lady also not reliable person never calls back or reply. I’m very disappointed how administration over there works. This is not very good experience so far. I hope teachers will be better than that!

This school is an absolute nightmare. They do not teach and have issues managing their student body. There are daily bullying incidents, test scores are below state averages. These hoodlum students are so empowered by little consequences to their actions that they will behave and act abusively towards others right in front of teachers. Not to mention 85% (their %) of teaching is done on a computer, which tells me the teachers are only teaching, if that, 15% of the time. I feel bad for the parents that have no other options available to them. This school, along with a lot of others in PWC, are terrible and are on a steep slope of disaster. Oh and if you think the class sizes are 16:1 you will be surprised to find that they are stuffing the max number of students to teachers in their classrooms or really close to it at 30:1. This allows those bullies to be empowered as they far outweigh good students and teachers. The bullies run this school. If you can, send your kid somewhere else and save them the trauma of this nightmare.

You can see from the demographics of Woodbridge Middle school, 50% low income, as to why they have probably have so many issues at this school. The mishaved and unruly students far outweigh the good ones. These teachers have zero control over their classrooms. The district would be better served dividing up by no more than 25% low income students at a school. You have Louise Benton Middle school at only 16% low income, you have Fred Lynn Middle School at 81% low income, Lakeridge Middle school at 37% low income, and Beville at 81%. Does this seem right to you?

WITH NO REPERCUSSIONS for the offending students. Teachers seem to be AFRAID to reprimand students ESPECIALLY when the students are a darker race than them.

Eight stars if possible amazing school Good work ethic

My son just started attending 6th grade here, after attending Westridge Elementary from K-5th. The way the teachers here have handle the transition has been absolutely terrible. After receiving basically no homework or projects in elementary school (which is ridiculous in itself), students are given a large amount of projects and homework assignments. This isn't too bad, but it's been rough to keep my son organized and on top of the work given that this school system did not do anything to establish good work habits in elementary school.

The worst thing so far though has been the total lack of effort by teachers to help student make up missed work. My son had the flu in December of 2018 and also had a pre-planned absence in the same month. He missed a couple of weeks of school, which translated into probably about 40+ missed assignments due to the ridiculous amount of graded work the do.

I constantly reminded him throughout January that he needed to make up his work, but that can only go so far. In the second week, I received an email from his 'core' subject teachers stating that he received lunch detention due to missing assignments. I emailed them asking for more information, and out of the four teachers that were copied, only one replied with a vague answer. I continued to remind him and eventually he stayed after school to make up some work.
Unfortunately PWCS then decided to close for half of January any time it rained. I had very little chance to follow up since I am a single dad taking care of two boys. My son brought home his grade reports at the end of the grading period and 3 of his teachers noted that he was missing many assignments.

Apparently, as an 11 year old child that just started middle school, he's expected to be fully responsible for making up 30+ assignments, and somehow within a month's time (while the teachers had a full week of extra paid vacation), none of his teachers reminded him to stay after or gave him a chance to make up work during class. I also find it a little strange that students have an independent study period and apparently this time is not used to make up work.

Overall there seems to be a massive disconnect between PWCS elementary schools and PWCS middle schools and the staff makes no effort to ensure that 11 year old children are transitioning well.

Aside from the large volume of work, students are expected to make up missed work on their own time. Teachers are unhelpful and don't respond to emails asking about what needs to be made up. My son received lunch detention for work that he missed while absent the week that he came back to school... Of course he was missing assignments, he was absent due to flu.

He is 11 years old and just started middle school. I can only do so much to remind him at home, the teachers need to say something too.

I really have no idea. My son seems to be learning well but the staff seems focused entirely on teacher 'standards' and writes them on every assignment.

I’m a student in Woodbridge Middle and honestly, I really love this school. I think a lot of children should attend this school because the teachers and staff really appreciate their students. Myself as a student, I’m proud to be in this school and I think your child should be too.

This school has been an excellent experience for my daughter. The principal, Mr. Calhoun, runs a tight ship. The teachers are very well prepared and care about the children. They provide the only same gender program in Prince William County which is also one of the few in the East Coast - it has been very successful and as a parent I would highly recommend it. The school has several reward programs that keep the students motivated and help them perform at their full potential. Nothing but a great experience at Woodbridge Middle School!

This school is amazing. It is known to be the best middle school in eastern Prince William. The principal is excellent in leadership and his admin team is superb as well. The teachers here really do care about the students and their well being. Working at this school is such a blessing. Seminole pride all the way!
