This school has the worst bullying problem I've ever seen. Students are often physical and relentless, driving many people I know to very unhealthy mental states. Even if bullying is reported, nothing is done to protect the victim or punish the perpetrator, which causes students to know they can get away with practically everything. During my stay at Chancellor, there was at least one fight every other week.

Overall, my experience at this school was absolutely abysmal. Lackluster staff, absolutely no discipline, and extreme bullying lead to an awful middle school experience. There is an extreme lack of communication with both parents and students, and the principal does absolutely nothing. Overall, I highly recommend you avoid sending your children here at all costs.

As a student, I was barely assigned any homework. This may sound like a dream to most students, but it failed to properly prepare my friends and I for high school's workload. Going to Chancellor will put your child at a disadvantage compared to other students properly prepared for high school.

The quality of education you really get at this school heavily varies depending on which teacher you get. Teachers are either incredible with a fiery passion for education, or have obviously lost their passion for teaching years ago. I found that most of my teachers did not discipline students nearly enough for disrupting class or cheating, which lead to my quality of education being substantially lowered because of constant disruptions.

Due to the extreme lack of discipline at Chancellor, students are allowed to run rabid and torment teachers. This provides next to no morals for students, and an extremely unpleasant learning environment. Chancellor also has a huge problem with bullying, because students are not disciplined properly. I have witnessed extremely violent fights on numerous occasions, with teeth being knocked out and school property being damaged.

My children really have little to no homework, which concerns me as they head into HS and will certainly be caught of guard by the shift.

There are some truly effective and caring teachers, then there are those that have clearly lost their passion.

Hard to gauge here. I am a big fan of the Vice Principal. I feel he is diplomatic and fair. His students clearly respect him. The Principal on the other hand is arrogant and rude. You can be constructive, but there is a major disciplinary problem at Chancellor, and I have not heard a peep from her office.

I'd like to see this changed, everywhere. Students are so worried about what they wear and what will be said to them, children are bullied about the food in their lunches, their race, their shoes. I have had my children come home several times upset over certain comments.

I will have 4 children go through this school over the course of the next 6 years. If I could take them elsewhere I would. There are some truly great teachers there, but as soon as your student falls in love with them, they leave for a better opportunity. They school needs to modernize their Newsletter and increase their communication. No one in the main office is ever tracking the school events, and it takes 2-3 calls or emails to get anything out of them.

my school is wonderful all the teachers are nice so far there were no fights this year

By far I would have to say this is one of the best schools I have attended sure sometimes students break the code of conduct sometimes but keep in mind there are 800+ students attending. Many of the teachers at this school are clearly happy to be working there and teaching. The new principal at our school has made our school a better place giving more privileges but also giving much needed rules and restrictions. I agree that Mr.Cavedo is the most AMMMAAAAAZZZINNNG Latin teacher ever and that Mr.Medas (The orchestra teacher) also has inspired me to dig deeper into the subject and wanting to learn more everyday :)

This school is terrible! I just hate it, there are fights almost everyday, teachers show favoritism, and most of the code of conduct is broken EVERY SINGLE DAY! Also, because of favoritism, only certain people can wear revealing clothes, not do things, and get things. Teachers also show racism and don't care about what happens in the classroom. It's unbelievable how terrible this school is. Also, certain teachers find it funny to not give you your work if you miss a few days, causing you to flunk. Not to mention the locker size is terrible, you can barely fit your book-bag in there, much less your actual school supplies. Please, if you can, don't go to this school at all!

LEt me just say that this school is GHETTO! There are fights every day in the bathrooms. One was so bad the girl's hair was pulled out. The cliques are terrible and bullying is also terrible. A few of the programs I have to say are great. Orchestra is great and the teacher is AWESOME! Also the latin program is amazing and the teacher never lets you get bored. Thank you Mr. Cavedo for being the best 25 year old hipster latin teacher ever on the earth.

Chancellor Middle School has a new principal. He came to our school at a difficult time ( scores were down, morale was down ). As an involved parent I must say he has done a great job. While no one can make changes over night, he is working with the staff and parents to implement programs that assist students. Tutoring is being offered. He is promoting a new anti-bullying program. It is sad that we have to deal with the "attitudes". The middle schools need parents to be involved and be good role models.Behavioral issues are a big concern. Again, parental involvement is needed.I think it is frustrating for the staff because they have to be so careful when disciplining students. This is true for all schools. The majority of teachers are committed to the kids.
