Overall a very good experience for my daughter. They have Governor’s program, STAT, pre- AP/AP courses, honors, advanced diplomas, vocational and technical programs, co/extra-curricular activities. The resources are there if you apply yourself. Lasting friendships and supportive staff.

If not average then generally displeasing. Some days are better than others but even the good days can be described (at best) as 'meh.'

Most classes give low homework unless you have them everyday, then you receive homework everyday.

There are a few really good teachers. Around half the teachers are okay, helpful, and are generally respectful. The other half either cannot teach, are not at all helpful, or are extremely rude and should not work with children. For example, a teacher I currently have had been extremely nasty when I asked for help, which is her job, and refused to give it to me. I've heard from other students saying they are doing poorly due to the lack of understandable teaching. Also, all the gym teachers sit around and do nothing or eat snacks. However, they are rude when a small percentage of us would rather not do the activities.

I didn't know who the principal was until recently and I've only seen him about 2 or 3 times in all.

They have programs for special needs kids. Not very understanding for students with other issues like ADHD or etc. Other than that the teaching style is generally fitted to one type of group (unless the teacher chooses to be more inclusive themselves).

My daughter is not over whelmed with homework. I think it is just enough not to waste their time but keep them engaged and refine the classroom teachings.

Staff doesn't care about every student they just pick and chose. I recently watched a child get expelled for cyber bullying over something that seemed relatively minor, while my child was threatened repeatedly over social media, which was reported to the school and nothing was done. I can't wait until I can afford to move so that my children no longer have to attend this school. There are much better schools in this county, I am unsure why this one tends to drop the ball on many things.

This school has a lot of good points and a few bad, however, has the potential to be a great school! This is a smaller school still offering programs that others have cut due to funding with a majority of teachers that still care about their students and involved parents. I have seen my share of school systems having moved around with my job. Believe me when I say that Stafford is a cut above the rest. Every time that I have had a concern of any nature, it has been met with a willingnes to do whatever it took to fix the issue, with the exception of the Principal, which someone else here noted as well. It is this parents opinion that Mr. Lewis has been in his position for too long and has become complacent. I believe that with a simple change to that one position, this school has the potential to be a great school! I have appreciated the willingness of the staff to lead my child in the right direction as well as the feeling of belinging to a community of involved adults, I simply wish that there were better leadership.

The inefficiency of this school and its staff is mind boggling. They really come across as they are just there to collect a pay check. I don't understand how you can get a note sent home, an email and an automated phone call for parents who's children are involved in athletics and each form of contact states DIFFERENT times, dates, and fees. How can they have such miscommunication in their ranks?

The principal has zero communication with the students. I have never seen such low student moral at a school. Students do not feel that their voices are heard by the administration. Student leaders have tried to improve moral among the student body by suggesting activities that will get students involved and raise their spirits but are quickly shut down by the principal. I have attended a few functions at the school to show my support for the students. Unfortunately I did not see the principal or assistant principals. Pretty sure if I noticed then the students are also noticing the lack of support.

This school has mediocre teachers and their standards for education are unfathomably low. My son had honor roll at his last school and is now an average student at best. Do not enroll here

Worst School Ever!!!! The guidance and administration do horrible jobs at listening to the student and do not care if you have any type of concerns about a teacher. This school is most definitely discriminates against students of other cultures.

I love this school! My teen loves this place...He is involved in a great sports program, and he is no longer bullied as he was in Spotsy. My daughter also goes there, and she is impressed with the choir and the amazing teachers and principal...she says they always try to help with anything they can, and they have nice kids as a result. I recommend this school highly to anyone looking for a great high school.
