Our family had a wonderful experience at Engleside Christian School. We had two children attend, and we truly loved our time there. The school provided a strong academic foundation and set our kids up for long-term success, both academically and personally.

The teachers were outstanding—caring, dedicated, and genuinely invested in each child. The staff as a whole was kind, approachable, and made the school feel more like a family than just a place to drop your kids off. There was a real sense of community.

We also appreciated the little things that mattered to our kids, like the hot lunch program and the fun, well-organized school trips that made learning exciting and memorable.

Engleside offered a nurturing environment with high educational standards, and we are very grateful for the role it played in our children’s early education. We would highly recommend it to any family looking for a supportive, values-based school in the Alexandria area.

What a wonderful place! We found ECS at just the perfect time for our family and we absolutely loved it for the four years we were in the area. Our kids learned so much, and I daresay, more than their public school peers. The small class sizes allow for more individual attention whether that means to slow down or speed up for each student. But the best is the love and grace that is poured out from each teacher, who truly are missionaries. Our children grew in their walk and love for Jesus and understanding of the gospel - the best foundation for life.

We have 2 children attending Engleside School for the last 5 years. All I can say is the best school I could ever have picked for my kids. From the Secretary to all the teachers to Mr. Paddock the principal, it's been an incredible 5 years and every morning when I drop off my 5-year-old and my 11-year old I just want to give everybody a big hug and thank them for all they do. All the teachers and everybody who works there treat my kids like their own children. The curriculum that is taught is A+. My kids are learning at a very fast pace, at the same time they are not overwhelmed with too much homework.
The only thing I wish is they went through all 12 grades.
Sincerely a very satisfied and happy customer.

Engleside christian School has been absolutely amazing. Our 3 children attend the school and all their teachers are warm, caring, give wonderful direction, apply biblical principles, and make the curriculum challenging and intriguing. All 3 of our children have excelled due to their teacher instruction and involvement.
I 100% recommended Engleside Christian School.

Our daughter attended Engleside Christian School from K- 4 through 6th grade. Engleside Christian School provided our daughter with an amazing Christian based education from teachers that cared about her and encouraged her academically, spiritually and emotionally. ECS is a wonderful environment in which to learn, as students are continuously surrounded with a staff who truly have caring hearts and hearts for God.

Our daughter enjoyed attending school where the staff and students shared a common belief in Jesus Christ. In addition, she found it beneficial that she could go to teachers for prayer or reference to a Bible verse when she needed comfort or reassurance.

Engleside Christian School provided our daughter with a well-rounded education from a Christian view. The school has a small teacher/student ratio which allows students to have more individualized attention and teachers incorporate technology into the curriculum which enhances student engagement and enthusiasm for learning in the classroom. Upon graduation, our daughter was well prepared for middle school. Her desire and motivation for academic excellence obtained at ECS, carried over to middle school.

Engleside Christian School is truly a warm, loving, and overall Godly atmosphere. The Administrator, Youth Pastor and office staff are also very supportive and kind. Engleside Christian School was a great foundation for our daughter, and has been a blessing to our family.

We love ECS! Each of my 3 children attended ECS for 6 years. The teachers, principal, pastors, and staff are the most caring people. ECS offers a safe, caring, Christian environment, a small student-teacher ratio,and quality academics. Each of my children were reading books fluently by the time they finished Kindergarten! The teachers show a genuine Christian love and concern for each student. ECS incorporates technology into its' classrooms with the use of I-Pads for each student, and digital e-boards for the teachers to teach interactively with the students. This is not common for small, private schools. My children couldn't wait to go to school each day, and cried when they graduated from ECS. I I highly recommend this as a place to enroll your child. You will not find a better education for the cost, which, by the way, is the lowest in this area.

I am a parent and have children at this school . As an educator I am very picky about the learning environment of my child. My experience at this school has exceeded my expectations , from the curriculum , the devoted staff, the safe environment , and the religious atmosphere. The school does so well to incorporate arts , music , religion , community building and real world experiences into the day to day curriculum . The renovations that the school is undertaking is well worth the wait . All schools public and private go through renovations at some point and I must say Engleside has done a tremendous job of managing it . Students learning is not being interrupted nor are they shuffled around . The new additions will be amazing which will only be an addition to the amazing staff .

The teachers at Engleside are awesome . Very knowledgable , patient , and persistent . They present the academics with such rigor but make it engaging and hands on . The teachers go above and beyond to meet the students needs .

The school teaches students to be responsible citizens of the world and also obedient to God, themselves , and others . The discipline system allows the child to reflect on his or her actions and make changes . Students at this school learn to be respectful , responsible , and always ready for learning .

The school is very removed from anything modern in there methods of teaching. The reading teacher is more focused on artistic reading rather than actual comprehension. She's very focused on who is in her good graces as well. The other teachers are hit or miss. It's more of a day care center that teaches a little.

The facility is falling apart. There is no lunch room or inside area for the children to play. It's all because of the well planned out multi-million dollar improvement that is way behind schedule. It's ridiculous to say the least.

I think after this year we will look else where for our child's education. I would recommend that to others considering this school.

If a child is having trouble in a subject area the teachers are completely unable to provide any meaningful feedback on how to help get the student up to par. They are impossible to get a actual meeting with to actually discuss the issue.

The schools system of "tallies" is used to mark discipline problems. Its very selective in its use and does nothing to correct poor behavior. The teacher and administrator are not open to any discussion of this or what may be the underlying cause of the infraction. They always hide behind their gospel based biblical approach and will scoff and downplay any other idea.

This is a great school. The teachers and staff are very focused on the children. Small classrooms and each child receives individual attention. I will be sad when my child is finished with 6th grade and we have to move on to another school. I wish they continued through high school.

Loved the school's doctrine, and what it stands for, but the teachers my son had we're a bit removed from reality. Pulled him out after about a Month of being there :-(
