As an alum that went to FCS for 13 years, you would not catch me back in that place after the experience I had with my child. They asked her questions about homosexuality etc all while she was there for a math placement test during the interview process. Mind you, she was 12 at the time. ABSOLUTELY unacceptable behavior of adults to question children on those topics, especially alone without their parent!

The families are wonderful and so many of the staff are but this school holds a lot of kids back. They make children repeat grades if they are not advanced in all areas. They do not take into consideration any type of ADHD or dyslexia you have to repeat if you don't meet their standards. They also use a curriculum that is not neurodivergent (ADHD) friendly.

Two of my seven grandchildren attended this school and I would not recommend it. This school, will crush your child's confidence if they don't fit into their mold. If your child is suffering in a class, they'll push them through and pretend like they know the material. I personally have children who have gone to public and private school. And this school is sub par. With ten children between my own and grandchildren, this is the only school that I would give an f. I worked with children for twenty years, and it saddens me to think that children are being educated by these people.

Our family loves this school. We have three children ranging from Pre-K to 4th grade at this campus. The teachers and staff at the Stafford Campus of Fredericksburg Christian School (I'm sure the other campuses as well) are fantastic, helping grow the children to have strong academic foundations and building strong Christian character. They are the perfect educational partner for our family.

Institution does not appear to have clear understanding or consistent guidelines for the implementation or use of homework in the learning process.

The education our children received at the grade levels 1-5 was absolutely superb. Academic and personal standards drop precipitously beginning in 6th grade

LOVE FCS!
The teachers and staff are amazing and so caring! It truly is a home away from home for my children! So glad that the school reinforces the Biblical characteristics that we teach at home.

My son attended FCS for 1/2 a year in the 2nd grade. We were unhappy with the infrequency of having chapel and Bible lessons - one of the main reasons we sought out a private, Christian education. The lower school had no school lunch program, the only options were pack a lunch or order a fast food meal they brought in every day. The curriculum was no more challenging than public schools. The lower school is dark and dreary looking, there were no windows in my son's classroom. The administrative staff were not warm or welcoming and certainly did not display Christian characteristics.

Everyone at FCS Stafford is warm, welcoming, helpful, and encouraging. We love having our son at FCS.

We love FCS! This is our 4th year at the school. We have a 3rd grader and a Pre-K 4 student. Everyone from the administration to the bus drivers has the heart of every student as their number one priority. In addition to an amazing education, starting in Pre-K3, they teach the importance of manners, obedience and self-control. They continue these lessons throughout the child's education. I love sending my children to a school where the teachers genuinely care about them! There is no other school in the area quite like FCS!

It is hard to put into words how much we LOVE FCS! Our daughter has been attending FCS for four years. The school has such an amazing group of GODLY teachers and staff. I am so very happy with our decision to enroll our daughter in a school that provides a top notch education and daily biblical principles. In todays day and age - it is truly a breath of fresh air dropping her off at school and knowing the care, attention and education she will be receiving. Thank you FCS!

Our child has been at FCS for 13 years (starting in Pre-K), and it has been such a blessing to partner with such a loving and dedicated faculty, staff and administration. It makes our jobs as parents so much easier when there is consistency with the teaching that they are receiving at school and what we are trying to accomplish at home. The quality of our educational experience has been excellent, as well as high quality athletics and social/ministry opportunities. We are confident that our child will be more than prepared for the next level of education as well as adulthood, and a large part of the credit belongs to FCS.

LOVE FCS! We could not be happier! I love how my children are learning what they need to learn academically in school but also they are learning about Christ and how to put Him in the middle of everything you do! All of my children love their teachers and it is because the teachers really care about each of the students. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a Christian education with strong academics!

We could not ask for a better school for our daughter. After careful research we decided our daughter would attend FCS and what an incredible experience this has been. To watch my daughter learn scripture and apply biblical foundations to all that she does has been amazing. The leadership and the teachers are top notch. They are fully invested in the children, and discipline the children with love and respect. Academically, FCS works diligently to ensure that the children receive the best education, with the latest technology. The school consistently strives to improve and keep up with today's times, however, also take into consideration how everything they do may impact the children and the parents. My daughter constantly tells us how much she loves her school and her teachers. I am impressed at all levels with this school, and I could not ask for a better environment for my child. I have met many alumni from FCS and they are godly, humble and productive members of society. If you are relocating to the area, please tour the school, you will certainly be impressed!

As a military family, our first priority (when moving to Virginia) was finding a school for our "kids". FCS was our answer to prayer. We were impressed with the strong academic program, opportunities for leadership and service and the excellent faculty and staff committed to every area of their lives...with biblical truths and Christian character integrated into ALL aspects of their education! One cannot put a price tag on that, nor can any words adequately express the value! FCS encourages a PARTNERSHIP between parents, church AND school so that students develop a lifelong Christian worldview as they serve the Lord throughout their lives and in their respective careers. That partnership and the relationships built over the years at FCS impacted our family then...and will always. FCS truly educates Christian leaders...for life!

As a staff member at FCS for many years, I was privileged to serve with the "best of the best"! The genuine focus on excellence in ALL things...college-prep academics, integrity, servant leadership, glorifying God in ALL things...was evident in all aspects of the school's day to day "activities". In those day to day "activities", decisions that had to be made were arrived at prayerfully and lovingly. Our children graduated from FCS better prepared to stand for and serve Christ in our ever-changing culture. I am grateful for the personal and professional relationships my family has developed with the FCS family over the years. I am excited to see what God has planned for FCS in the future!

A number of years ago my wife and I decided to pursue the best balanced Christian board run school on the east coast of US. We did a search and then spent a number of weeks visiting and finally it was clear that FCS school was the balance we needed to provide a very good college prep school with a true focus on assisting us in raising future Christian adults working to serve the Lord throughout their respective careers. All 4 were prepared academically, pursued sports, music, drama and many mission trips around the world. All have graduated and completed advanced degrees however we point to our decision to relocate from Ct to Va as the defining point in leading our children to a situation where they could become successful and significant throughout their lives. Our experience with FCS truly impacted our family in every area of our Christian walk. Bill McAvinney

We are so pleased with Fredericksburg Christian School. The school lays down the Christian fundamentals that my family encourages. The curriculum by far exceeds the public schools in the vicinity. The teachers are professional and are not scared to teach the children discipline but are also able to show the children love and affection. Needless to say, we are fully satisfied with FCS!

My daughter will be headed to the 7th grade in the Fall and has been with FCS since Kindergarten. We couldn't be more pleased with the school. The academics are strong and the teachers are loving. Is it perfect, NO, but what school is? The difference is the teachers can actually mentor the children and guide them on the right path. Their SAT scores are higher than the national and state average and I look forward to six more successful years at FCS with my daughter being highly prepared for college and the world! God Bless FCS!

FCS is very expensive, so I would have expected a higher academic standard. I was not impresssed. The atmosphere is not a Christian one. It appeared to me like any other school. The curriculum seems to be from a "Christian Worldview", but other than that I cannot see this being called a "Christian" school. Parents need to be prepared for that. To sum it up... disappointed.

My child is currently attending preschool at the Fredericksburg campus. We love this school. It has been a blessing not only academically but also spiritually and a great match to my child's learning style. The teacher is incredible and has always made herself available to answer questions and address any concerns that I may have. The parents are quite involved when they can be as well. I do not know if we will always be able to afford to send our child to this school, but I do know that we have not regretted choosing FCS as our child's first school.

Our son went to the Stafford campus middle school and had a horrible experience. There was a very negative attitude by the teachers and administration towards the middle school boys: the boys were assumed to misbehave and there was no love shown- only discipline/punishment. Our outgoing, funloving, highly academic child who loved school had become angry and withdrawn and hated school. We could not make it through the whole school year and had to pull him out.

This is the MOST amazing school one could have the privilege of attending! What an awesome place to send your children! If you have a negative experience in this school then it is because you as a parent were too busy to be totally involved in the Christ centered, parent-educator link. There is nothing more encouraging than to see these teachers cry and weep and consistently pray over their students! I have never witnessed so much love in this school! REAL LOVE, GOD's LOVE!!! If you can't afford it, pray over your application and God will provide the increase for this wonderful, spiritual experience.

The teachers are absolutely fantastic. They PARTNER with you every step of the way, and they sincerely love and care for your children.

Our expeience at FCS was horrible. there was no response from staff or admin when we had questions or concerns. Finally when we wanted answers to our daughter's test grade for a certain class and no one got back to us in three months and we again questioned this, our contract was terminated three days before our daughter's new school year was to begin. Our daughter was needless to say devastated. We felt we were retailated for asking and demanding simple answers to our dauughter's education. This is not really a true christian school to have been treated in this manner. The real person who has suffered is our daughter the student. The school also is totally unorganized and has teachers who do not know the subject material.

Love this school! my daughter is only in pre-school but the teachers and staff are wonderful christian educators. Morals and values abound. What a refreshing change from the public schools i went to in nc.
