The best school Ive had the pleasure of attending for seven years! I wish it were still around as it were while I attended, so that my son could attend. Its cirruculum was far better than VA schools, I left after sixth grade and was placed in tenth in public, thats how much better it was, not to mention the Arabic education and the arts and physical education they offered. Islamic studies were a part of it and they were open minded and encouraged questions and free thought. Shakespearean drama starting in kindergarten, science labs, computer labs, lavish library and auditorium, extremely well managed student body. I never witnessed disrespect or backralk let alone physical insubordination or violence, unlike public schools in Fairfax. There was no foul or colorful language used by students or teachers, there was always a competitive undertone but in a healthy way. I had my best days at the academy and I loved all of my teachers and the administration, janitors, cafeteria and transportation staff, even the entrance security (included metal detectors)! It was a pleasure and a true privilege! Excuse the grammar and typos Im writing this on the fly on my phone in the middle of a large group. Thanks ISA!
