I am a recent graduate of CCHS class of 2024, First off nobody was able to learn due to disruptions by other students in classes (minus my time as a cadet in the battalion) and nobody was able to learn anything. At one point in my carrer as a student there, the teacher would assign work and then test us on something completly different then what was taught. Thankfully I had teachers that actually cared about my saftey and well being during my senior year. My family was never included in my education unless my mother made a first movem and personally the social emotional support wasn't their at all. they essentially sent me to a hospital to leave me their instead of making the school a safer place for students

Carroll County has been a horrible experience for me as a student. I have seen students bully, discrimatate, and violent to one another and the school lets them go because the Carroll County Rae is completely full. Students suffer with Mental Health issues with this school district and the school doesn't see any issues at all. The school also doesn't provide safe foods for the students to eat. I have personally seen mold, bugs, undercooked meals, and hair being fed to students. The teachers like certain students, and will not punish those students if they are caught breaking school rules. Female gym teachers will flirt with the male students that are on any sport team. The school also doesn't apply to certain students IEP's and F04 plans at all, they like to make excuses for different students and removes them completely. I would recommend Galax or Grayson High School, for students education as they are seen as more successful than at Carroll County.

Carroll County High school has been under construction for the past two years. Students have gone to school during construction, both indoor & outdoor construction. This school year, 2013-2014. The children returned to school while new HVAC is being replaced. The children have no ac and only fans to move air. The superintendent of the school system says the system may not be complete til Nov. He also states "it is what it is". Unacceptable!!!!
