I have been attending benton middle school since 23-24 school year and i am about to go to high school my experience at this school has been very bad wether its bad teachers very very badly educated students or bad administrators my experience here has not been the best whatsoever The admin is as useful as a brick except for ms Newman she is great the principal and the assistant principal for 8th graders might be bottom 2 people of all time this school has gotten stricter and stricter over the years and it has gotten worse year by year wether its unnecessary fights or people trying to act likethugs yns all of that it is very unnecessary and like i said the admin is about as useful as a rock this school is supposed to be a top school in the county but it may be one of the worst there is only 2 middle schools worse than this one and thats bevile and Hampton and not by a long shot.this school is also not the worst school ever we have some very nice helpful teachers like mr haden, mr pollock ms rodriguez mr gilbertson mr walker mr tracy but we also have some very annoying teachers that do the most unnecessary things i wont drop names but definitely a few in the pe area facs 6th grade science 8th grade science and 7th grade science there also is some teachers who may not be the most helpful but they definitely care and are trying to help like ms geisler ms curcio and ms collins so this school isnt all bad but it is nowhere near best middle school in the county definitely worst 3 middle schools every student is a actual racist not just joking with friends and most students about 80% of the school population are very homophobic too if u want your child to have a better experience at school take them to lake ridge, saunders, Potomac shores fred lyn etc only take them here if the only options are benton hampton or bevile if not bring them anywhere else

If you are transferring your kid to a school do not send them here at Benton, it is horrible and disgusting. My kid comes home every day crying cause they were bullied by either teachers or students. The racism in this school is beyond disgusting, My child wears a shirt that is not even showing most of her skin and the principal will dress code them mean while every other person is wearing tank tops etc. students are not distracted by a girl only teachers are and it is perverted. If you want your kid to get harassed, bullied, dress coded for nothing then send them here, if not dont! This is insane.

I strongly advise AGANIST enrolling your child at Benton Middle School. My experience with the administration particularly the principal and assistant principal has been extremely disappointing. I witnessed behavior that reflects dishonesty, discrimination, and a lack of respect toward both students and parents. These are serious concerns that raise questions about their suitability to work in an educational setting. If it were possible to give zero stars, I would.

I am deeply concerned and heartbroken by the way my child is being treated at Louise A. Benton Middle School. The environment is not only unsupportive but also hostile and discriminatory. My child has faced racist behavior from both students and staff, including hurtful, targeted comments that have left a lasting emotional impact.

There is no excitement for learning because the atmosphere is filled with fear and disrespect. Teachers do not seem motivated to support students instead, they turn a blind eye to bullying and inappropriate treatment. Ive seen zero accountability from the schools leadership when I raised these concerns.

No child deserves to go through this. I expected a safe and respectful environment, and this school has failed us on every level. I strongly urge other parents to think twice before enrolling their child here.

bad school horrible food. racism and sexual harassment are present. staff are mean and rude I was bullied by these kids I talked to staff and they did nothing. Benton is bad and it needs to be destroyed.

This school is transphobic and racist. This school does not allow their trans students go to the bathroom they need to go to. No my trans daughter is not going to rape, or do anything to harm other female students. She is in there to use the bathroom and nothing more. The school is also racist because they prohibit black students to wear durags. Other things like the dress code is also terrible. Some rules in the dress code prohibit thing like dyed hair, tattoos and piercings. No student at this school is distracted by any of these things. Students should be allowed to express themselves, as long as it's not harming them or others it should be allowed. Girls at this school are told that what they are wearing is distracting, the problem is not what these girls are wearing, it's the pedophilic teachers who are much older than these underage girl who are saying their shoulder are to distracting. Finally, there are rules like not being able to have pockets longer than three inches. Nobody can even fit they're personal belonging in that. If you don't believe me then just go to the pdf on their website that this school made. Don't send your children to this school.

New to area, our 6th Grader's grades have been on it's highest since Elementary years. They take matters into their hands seriously and efficiently. Family-involvement is high as well. Teachers have great approach in teaching.

The school is terrible. Teachers are rude and don't care about students. It is very crammed full of students and I switched to private school because it was so bad. The students are all friendly and nice though. - submitted by a student
