We are so thankful for Chesterbrook. Our boys (toddler and primary) truly found a home and a community here. Chesterbrook fosters our kids' growth and development daily, and the staff do so in a humble and loving way. It feels like family.

Finding a true Montessori school was a top priority for our family, and we couldn't be happier with Chesterbrook Montessori! From the moment we walked in, we knew this was a place where our children would be nurtured, respected, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Our two-year-old is in the toddler classroom and our four-year-old is in the primary classroom; both are thriving in ways we never imagined in their first year of school. We've watched our toddler become more self-sufficient and our preschooler develop a deep curiosity and excitement for learning. The teachers and caregivers are truly wonderful--patient, attentive, and committeed to understanding the needs of each child. They create a warm and loving environment where our children feel safe and empowered to explore and grow. Chesterbrook is everything we were looking for in a Montessori school, and we are so grateful to be part of this incredible community. Chesterbrook Montessori is a truly wonderful school, and our family feels so incredibly grateful to have found it. We toured dozens of preschools in the area, and Chesterbrook just felt right in every sense from the moment we walked in there. The teachers are knowledgeable, professional, warm, and have truly become our family over the last three years.

We truly appreciate the thought and care that goes into everything at the school - the classrooms are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, spacious, full of natural light, and create an authentic Montessori environment.

Our eldest, Claire, enrolled in the toddler program at Chesterbrook when she was 19 months old, and I couldn't have possibly wished for a better, smoother transition (this was the first time she had ever stayed with anyone other than her parents). Her wonderful teachers visited us in our house first, so Claire could meet them in a familiar environment, and during the next few weeks they very gently transitioned her into the classroom. She is now almost four, and is absolutely thriving at Chesterbrook - she is independent, compassionate, a quick learner, her attention span is amazing, and she genuinely loves going to school every day.

Our youngest, Stevie, joined Chesterbrook toddler community last fall, and it's been a wonderful experience for her as well (and our girls have completely opposite personalities!). She is very excited to join her older sister in the Primary classroom next year - we love the concept of mixed aged Montessori classrooms, giving each child a chance to learn from older peers, and to eventually grow into a leader in the classroom!

There are so many things to love about Chesterbrook Montessori – child-centeredness at the heart of everything they do, a focus on fostering the love of learning, cultural awareness, and emphasis on promoting independence. We are so happy to be a part of this wonderful community!

Chesterbrook Montessori is such a special place! We are a current toddler classroom family. From the very beginning, the application process was personal and thoughtful, with family involvement and a home visit. Ms. Lisa, the lead of the toddler program, worked patiently with us throughout each step from inquiry to first day; offering 1-1 calls and was very responsive to questions via email and phone. The teachers are incredibly kind and truly care about each child, making sure they feel comfortable and supported as they adjust to the classroom. Our daughter transferred mid-year from another school and we were treated with such patience and compassion as we navigated the application and transition process. Our daughter comes out each day saying: "I had a great day!," shares actual information about her day, teaches us things that she does at school at home, and references each teacher by name. The space itself is always clean, calm, and beautifully organized, creating an ideal environment for nurturing and learning. It's hard to put into words just how wonderful this program is. It's clear that Chesterbrook Montessori is a place where families are welcomed and valued; and where children thrive.

We have had a wonderful experience at Chesterbrook. Our son has blossomed and adores his teachers. He has said, he never wants to go to another school. If you are looking for a true Montessori experience I cannot recommend Chesterbrook more!

Our two year old daughter has attended Chesterbrook and all three of us absolutely love the school. She has been attending since she was about 19 months old, and she has made Tremendous progress with independence and developing her vocabulary. She loves to read, speak, and learn new words. Her learning there astounds me and my wife and I are in awe of what Ms. Lisa and her staff do to encourage these little loves every day.

They teach them everything from changing their own clothes, community eating etiquette, toilet training (!!), interpersonal skills, and respecting their teachers. Could not recommend a school more highly. Well run and highly communicative with the parents via email.

They do not assign homework to two and three year olds. Most two year olds cannot do homework.

Our daughter has spent over two years at the Arlington Forest branch. She started in the toddler program for 1.5 years - and has now spent the 2013-14 school year with the pre school. She was lovingly guided in the toddler program (10 kids only) and is really stretching and growing by leaps and bounds in the pre-school. We get a weekly report of what she is doing and the teachers are always available to talk to the parents.

This is my daughter's 3rd year at the Arlington Forest Campus and she loves it. She started in the toddler program and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is any toddler's dream as they are given the opportunity to explore and exert their independence in a safe environment. The primary classroom is beautiful and the teacher has years of experience. I had my son at another Montessori in Arlington and the biggest difference at Chesterbrook is the accessibility and responsiveness of the staff and administration. I feel like they respect that I am a working mother and try to make my life easier whenever possible. They have honored any requests that I have made on behalf of my daughter and are willing to meet or speak as often as you like. I also like that Chesterbrook has a music program and the holiday concert is truly the cutest thing you will ever see!!

This is our 4th year at Chesterbrook and love it. My second is there now and has one more year after this one. It seems like the negative reviews have been about the Arlington Forrest Campus so I want to make it clear that there are 2 schools, the other being Glebe Rd in North Arlington. We have had the same wonderful teachers, 2 of which have been there for over 10 years each and the other 2 since we have been there. My daughter started 1st grade this year in a mulit-age (with 2nd graders) and is doing great. It has been loving and caring experience for my family. We have very social parents and get together regularly. We help each other and have set up meals for various families in need. Both my husband and I volunteer regularly and enjoy seeing the kids learn so much and gain independence. I don't know about these negative reviews but I can tell you that it has not been my experience at all. I would highly recommend Chesterbrook!
