While we enjoy some aspects of the school others are less than encouraging. We are Christians and appreciate the Biblical principles the school offers. On other notes teachers are hit or miss. The bullying in upper grades is the same or worse than public school. While I am about discipline. The teachers and staff are quick to jump to opinions instead of understanding the student. The office staff are not consistent. I wish we had others options but we do not.

We are blessed in so many ways that our children are able to attend Faith. They are a wonderful and loving school and the teachers and staff are amazing and you feel like a big family there. The families/students are very friendly and a lot of us have established great relationships over the years. It is a safe, school environment that makes us feel comfortable and confident taking them there each day while we work. Not only are they growing academically but spiritually as well. We have been a part of this school family since our daughter started there at the age of three in preschool and now is a sophomore. Our son started in preschool at the age of 2 and is now in 3rd grade. I would highly recommend Faith Baptist School.

We decided to enroll our children into FBS lower level due to many of the public schools shifting to promote socialistic views and practices. Although we initially look forward to a new environment aligning with our home. We did not find it within the walls of FBS. FBS is not a private Christian school as it is designed and in my opinion is a controlled environment for full-time homeschooling offered by members of the Faith Baptist Church. While many of the teachers have been with the school for 20+ years, they have a strong theological study but do not strive for or have been called to know the basics of teaching children. In the four painful months, we experienced everything from a teacher forcing my child to hold his bladder to dismissive behavior from the administrator and elementary principal. Something to be mindful when selecting a school such as FBS compared to public school. You have the protection through the state when there are questionable practices within with public school compared to the “Christian” school setting. If I could have done anything different, it would have been to tour this school when class was in session. There is clear tension which exist throughout, and it is a good indicator for why this school has not grown in over 30 years. I am not saying Christian based education is out of the question, however, I would not recommend this school due to their limitations as educators.

The teachers are very supportive, kind and professional. It is clear they care for their students and challenge them academically while encouraging the love of learning.

My son was a student in the FBC Preschool and had a wonderful experience at the beginning of the year until his teacher was let go in the middle of the year for absurd reasons. Although, his new teacher had a good heart she did not have the best teaching skills. No communication with parents unless by text, not good at making eye contact, or being well structured. Unfortunately my son started lashing out, we tried to come up with a "Goal Plan" for his behavior. He came home with "naughty" reports on the daily, several of phone calls, and he was eventually suspended. More than once did I mention that I believed my son had ADHD and was under evaulation. As a parent, I don't think the director did the best job of going above and beyond. She did not understand my son's "special needs". My son was taken out of FBC and put back in his old daycare until his testing was complete. He was recently diagnosed with ADHD& ODD. He is back in a daycare facility and doing very well. Would not recommend Faith if you do not have a "normal" child.

Our 3 children (K, 4, and 6) absolutely love the school, their classmates, teachers, and faculty! The teacher to student ratio allows much more individualized instruction and guidance. The teachers genuinely care about the development of each child. As a military family, FBS has definitely made our transition to the area much less stressful. Best choice for a solid Christian - based education. EXCELLENT SCHOOL!!!

Faith Baptist School in Fredericksburg, VA is an excellent school. This is our first year at this school and our son is in 9th grade. He didn't want to go to private school because he plays basketball and was concerned that he wouldn't like the sports. Well, he LOVES this school and this was also the first time the boys Varsity and JV won the state championships. It has been a great year and he's ready to go back next year. The boys get along well. The teens are very supportive of one another and the whole school feels like a big family. The only thing I'd like to see more of is teachers calling parents when grades begin to slip. We have gotten so used to internet based programs that the one-on-one is missing and I prefer more involvement with teachers, especially when a child is struggling. We don't always get on the internet so even a note would help us out because we aren't in the classroom to see how things are going. I love the teachers....just would like more contact from them.....even if it was an email because after the interims or report cards come home, it's too late. All of our kids will be going here next year.

Very humbled staff who truly care about the students. My kids have been there for 2 years and I'm very impressed with their accademic progress and their spiritual growth. The school is also the most affordable for private schools in the area.

I can say enough great things about this school. The staff is so loving and humble. My children love it here! The accademic standards are a plus. very organized administration as well.
