Little Acorn Patch

My daughter was in another daycare center in Springfield for the first 15 months of her life. She learned a lot while there, but there was a lot of negativity in her toddler class and I wanted a daycare closer to home. Little Acorn Patch was the last place I looked (I was really thrown off by the school being in a shopping center). I am SO HAPPY I found this school. It's a hidden gem in the Springfield area. My daughter is now 20 months old and she LOVES coming to school. She has blossomed so much since we enrolled her there. The summer program was excellent (Splash days, performers, special events) and, so far, the school year program is excellent as well. The educational programs they offer are outstanding (spanish/french, music, funtastic fitness, and special acts/events throughout the year). The teachers are also excellent...very educated and extremelly nice. The menu doesn't have much variety (they cycle two weekly menus), but I love that they provide Organic Milk, Yogurt, fruit at every snack/meal, and veggies. Breakfast is included too! They have a great playground. The classes are small and the price is right. I love this school and my daughte does too!

Both of my kids have attended little acorn patch with a few years in-between. We have not had one complaint. Mrs. Donna the receptionist is wonderful, as are all the staff. This daycare definitely has a warm at home daycare type atmosphere with all the great benefits of a daycare center. (Shows and activities)

People tend to make reviews when they are unhappy. I figured since I am very happy I should too. My daughter has been attending since she was 18months. Before then she was home with me. Adjustment was hard on both of us but the school was very helpful. I could call anytime and check on my daughter. Teachers we personable enough that they will answer all questions and help you along the way. The staff is small the class sizes are small and the activities are endless. My daughter has grown so much since attending school here. The school is also very active with ice cream socials and recitals. I appreciate this school and all that it has done. My ONLY suggestion would be expanding the food options.

This school was a nightmare for my child. She went here about a month, just for the preschool hours in the morning. She was bullied by some of the children, and the teachers did nothing about it. She was pushed, sat on, got her hair pulled, and the teachers claim that they didn't see it happen. The teachers are supposed to do math, journals, etc. every day. My daughter had only four journal entries in the month of December. The teachers are definitely not doing their jobs at this school. My child said all they did was play at centers for most of the time. My child did not like going here at all. Preschool is supposed to be enjoyable and exciting for a child. This school is a nightmare. I pulled her out of there immediately! Please do not send your child here. It is absolutely horrible! I give this school a score of 0.
