This has been one of the worst elementary schools my daughter has attended to. Teachers are too hard of special needs kids, bullying, bad attitude, bad behavior, students judging other students weather their clothes are fancy. Like seriously? I am so disappointed. Everyone is so rude for absolute no reason. Never letting my daughter step a foot in this school. I would not recommend going. Teachers and the principal are just nice when parents are here. Don’t go here , its a MESS!

Eagle View has changed over the recent years even all for the better. Colleagues, building staff, admin, students, families... collaboration is key and just being JOYFUL in all that we do, no matter how challenging things get! This is an amazing workplace, know your duties, do your job well, and enjoy the people around you!

This has been one of the worst elementary schools my child has attended. The teaching staff are not qualified. The teachers do not show genuine interest in the child's learning process and lack emotional intelligence. I will be contacting the school board regarding my experience.

This is the worst elementary school for a child with any disability. Awful teachers/Staff. Teachers/Staff constantly bully children who don't conform to the norm. Do yourself a favor and if FCPS recommends, please RUNNNN!!!!!

So far so good, my kindergartener with speech and social delays has done a 180 since transitioning from their pre-k program to kindergarten. I couldn't be happier with the progress he has made.

This is the worst elementary school for a child with Dyslexia. Supposed to move on 7th grade soon but still on a 1st grade level. Awful teachers/Staff. Daughter constantly bullied & treated terribly by staff. One day when she was having a hard & asked to talk to a counselor multiple times they ignored her & instead stuck her in a small room by herself. Not even worrying about her wellness and safety. Not recognizing that its a sign for help & something is wrong.

DO NOT SEND YOUT SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS HERE. This has to be the worst school for special needs. My son attended for 3 years. I regret not pulling him from the school immediately when he complained of an adult putting her hands on him. She would pull him by the arm when he refused to walk with her. I complained and requested that he never be alone with her. Additionally the CSS principal is either uncaring and incompetent. The school has had budget cuts and no longer had a full time psychologist for the CSS kids. Instead they’ve hired very poor IAs and a woman who worked in law enforcement.

Excellent school, Principal and teachers.
Registrar is extremely helpful and welcoming.
Every concern is addressed and resolved to the satisfaction. Not only the teachers but the principal also shows interest. PTA is always coming up with new ideas.
Parents do not go by the rating of the school.

Teachers use creative methods to engage children and communicate very well with parents so that parents may support the entire learning experience at home. The teachers that we have had have been phenomenal!

Eagle View has a strong focus on character, which I love. Students who demonstrate character traits such as empathy and respect are recognized. Discussion and training on these (and other) topics begins as early as Kindergarten in our experience.

The school has been good for our children. We especially like the after school programs. The teachers are great and friendly. We attend as many PTA meetings as we can. Though this year it seems there are fewer PTA activities. From a communication standpoint we love the teacher newsletters though an area of improvement would be more online communication from the principal like they do in other schools. Another area of improvement I would like to suggest would be to improve preparation for homework from the early grades. It seems like homework skyrockets out of nowhere which is difficult for small children who are new to the process.

Based on the last 4 years of sending our son to EVES, the teachers are excellent and the student activities are outstanding. There is also a lot healthy diversity from a student standpoint. However, the school lacks the same diversity from a staff and parent-involvement standpoint. This also points to lack of sufficient action by the school leadership (not necessarily the PTA) to encourage parent involvement. Some efforts have been made to involve parents but interestingly enough, there are indications that parent presence in the classroom is a burden and not welcomed by staff. For example, my husband who wants to be active in our son's life and make a strong impression as a father, was encouraged to sign up for the watchdog program through the PTA. We were shocked when he was only allowed to spend 15 min. in the class with him before being sent elsewhere! The teacher seemed concerned when he asked to stay longer which didn't come across well. We were also told that the principal was the one who created the schedule which concerns us. I love this school but hope they can figure out how to involve parents in more meaningful ways and not just for show.

My son used to be autistic. The previous school, Willow Springs, didn't want to deal with him. They gave him labels (e.g. defiant) and sent him home when he became problematic instead of finding ways to help him. Eagle View was very welcoming. They evaluated him and we found him eligible for an IEP, which Willow Springs never bothered to do. In 1st grade, they provided a teacher to stay by his side to support him as he struggled to cope. They worked with me, asked what worked at home and had no issue trying anything to help him succeed. Eventually I treated him and he recovered from his autistic behavior, although he still needed support for his ADD. Without their support and open communication, I never would have been able to help him. We often communicated on a daily basis. When parents and school are on the same page, the child is more likely to succeed. Never once they made him feel rejected. They always assured me, "We're a team, and we'll figure this out together." My son loved Eagle View, and I owe his success to their nurture and unconditional support. This is a public school, but they are what every school should be. They help every child to succeed. No child left behind.

Eagle View Elementary offers a caring and loving environment, a diverse group of students and educators, and a vast array of PTA sponsored after school programs that help nurture the children's academic and personal growth within a safe environment. Greater funding for larger outdoor playground would be a nice addition in the future.

My son and daughter have attended Eagleview for the past 3 year and have loved it. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The teachers are great and make sure that the kids are working at the level they need to be. The Principal and VP are very involved and nice. The PTA is great and very involved in the afterschool activities.

My son is on his way to 2nd grade at EV and has had a very productive experience. His reading and writing skills have improved, he is engaged deeply in Math and his intellect has grown by leaps and bounds. The school is nurturing and the regular communications (i.e., weekly teach emails, school newsletter) helps keep us informed and connected.

We've had a fabulous experience in the two years we've been at Eagle View. The staff goes above and beyond. The home/school connection is fabulous. The school-wide and/or grade-wide unity builders are inventive and allow each child to shine. LOVE the SOS program and how uplifting it is for the students.

Eagle View Elementary is a wonderful school! The teachers and administration are very supportive and caring. My son and I have had nothing but positive experiences there. The sutdents are learning so much....just check out the test scores...they speak for themselves!!!

students must have a high scores to be good . teacher have preferences with the exelled student and they did not focus in improve those .And ..very poor communication with teachers and helps. The Principal have a preferences with Korean people than other nacionalities.PTA is the only team that work.

The teachers are excellent and go the extra mile. The time my daughters teachers have taken to make sure she is doing her best is phenomenal. They are accessible and do a good job of communicating with me. Many teachers are young but still skilled and bring an enthusiasm and level of participation in the classroom and in extracurricular activities that makes eagle view shine. There is exceptional parental involvement in activities. Through the PTA there are a lot of enrichment programs math club, robotics, foreign language study.

My experience with school is not good at all. I asked almost ten parents. They experience is same as mine. 1. More than half of Teachers are fresh grads. 2. GT teacher discourages lot for some reason. Has attitude. Teacher does not recommend unless kids get exceptionally good score. (More than required). 3. This is good school for AHAD kids. 4. This is no good place if you are aspiring for your kids to high standards. 5. Very few kids go to GT School from this school. 6. There is not encouragement from class teachers. 7. There are very few clubs in the school. 8. Teachers give less homework. Especially writing. 9. Teacher and parents communication is none. Teachers do not use Blackboard as they do not have time. No Newsletters. 10. Teachers do not have time for extras. They are struggling to do cover basic curriculum. 11. No enrichment for kids. Kids will 90 95 cognitive skills downgraded (homework wise) to basic level for class teacher s convenience. My kids had lost good vocabulary, writing skills and good analytic skills year by year as their score not exceptionally good for GT centre by not getting challenged enough.
