As a military family, we moved to the Manassas area in 2018 in hopes that the public school system would be great. I was disappointed again and again by the lack of education my daughter was receiving in her 3rd grade class, so my husband and I decided to check out Manassas Christian. We were already familiar with the school as my daughter had attended the Summer camp and loved it. I am so happy we made the switch (right before the pandemic) because Signal Hill had shut down, just like all other public schools and had zero plan of action. I watched my daughter's last 3 months of 3rd grade wasted, but had a sense of relief knowing we were headed to MCS for fourth grade. MCS has changed my daughter in so many ways. She has much more confidence, way better manners and morals, and both all her grades improved greatly, where she struggled before. Mr. B runs a tight ship and is always a friendly face I can rely on when I see him in the carline, as I pick up my daughter and drop her off. He has been extremely instrumental in the success of this school and the parents and kids adore him. The class sizes are small and the school is clean, updated and has a cozy, family type atmosphere. I say all the time that this school is the only thing keeping us in Manassas and is true! My family was completely stressed under the public school system and this switch completely changed our lives. I love everything about it and my new favorite thing is how they involve the middle school students to do community service hours. Observing the teens in my area over the past few years has sickened me. I see little to no work ethic from young people in this area. I see the opposite in the kids at MCS. They have goals, ambitions, are active and strive for greatness.

This is a special place where your child can be themselves. Yes you have to pay for your education but it is an investment. Prince William County Schools are awful and there are alternatives, such as this hidden gem. The middle school teachers are seasoned and old school but that is exactly what we appreciated about it. I do wish they would screen some of the students a little more as a few have slipped through the cracks that were a bit unruly, however most kids there are great. My child has a amazing memories at MCS.

Getting out of Prince William County Schools (Signal Hill) and starting MCS has been life changing for my whole family. Mr. Barthalomew is an incredible principle and all around great person. He leads the example for the teachers and staff, who are all outstanding, caring, quality people. My daughter was having endless problems at Signal Hill and hated going to school for the two years we were enrolled. Now she loves school, is excited to learn and I have seen her confidence grow to new heights and her grades!!! Mr. B handled the pandemic amazingly. He put the kids first and I am so beyond thankful that my daughter was in school during this time. This school does so much outside the normal public school experience. When your child is just so happy to go each day and learn new things, it is the best feeling in the world. Thank you MCS! You all are amazing!!!

Manassas Christian School has provided an exceptional educational environment for my son to thrive in from kindergarten to middle school. The principal and his staff genuinely care about each student and provide a wonderful, safe environment for students to learn and grow. The class sizes are small and allow the teachers to provide individualized attention to each student. Science, technology, and math are a strong focus in the curriculum, and the robotics program is stellar. My son absolutely loves going to Manassas Christian School and I have total peace of mind that my son is getting a high-quality education.

My three kids have attended this school for 2 years now and we've been so happy with the teachers and the quality of education. The kids really love the school and are excited about going every day. Classes are small, around 10 kids, the students become close-knit. The whole school is very close-knit and my kids have befriended other children from different grades and seem to have a great sense of community. I love that they offer sports and after school clubs. I'm not the most religious person but I love what they are doing with the kids at the school and have never felt out of place myself. They place a high priority on education and preparing children for high school, college and beyond. I would encourage anyone to come take a tour of the school, they were very friendly and accommodating to me when I moved in the area and wanted to see what my options for schooling were my kids. The tuition is lower than other private schools in the area, affordability and quality is huge for me and I'm sure is the same for many others. The former principal, Ms. Bare was a warm and wonderful person from the amount I got to know her but she has since retired and the former Vice Principal, Mr. Bartholomew is now the current principal. He is very involved with the day to day needs and whenever I visit the school I see him around the campus/classrooms/activities. He's very personable and well liked. We're very pleased with our experience at MCS and do recommend if you're looking for a good school in the area.

We have been nothing short of pleased with the quality of education our daughter has received, the structured environment is very conducive to learning. We also love the fact that the school insists on parental involvement. Teachers are quite accessible, and communication from them to us is frequent and detailed.

This is a close knit school where the wonderful Principal and Vice Principal know every single child (they are both very personable). The teachers are completely involved with their students, ensuring their education is first and foremost. The entire staff (faculty and non faculty alike) work as a team to ensure each child gets where they need to be, when they need to be there. My child attends MCS and loves everyone he's in contact with.

I am a parent of two children who attend Manassas Christian School and we are going on our eighth year there. As a parent, you get what you invest into your child and the school in which they attend. The teachers and staff are very compassionate, invested in the education that is taught, they are creative in introducing new concepts and lessons so that it is not just text book studies, they make sure the environment is conducive to positive growth for social development in helping to build character and compassion for others. The small class sizes and accessibility to the teachers is a plus. This is a school that I support and would recommend if you are looking for a school with a high level of education and where your child will grow spiritually and academically. - August 2016

If you are considering this school, pay attention. This school has a very tight-knit group of teachers and students that are friendly and supportive. The teachers are caring and very helpful. But there are kids and parents that think they can do what they want since they donate to the school! They feel very entitled! And the prinicpal is a woman that only cares about how her school looks and they way kids represent it. She couldnt care less about the students and their needs. She dosent allow them to bring their phones!!!!! Its like a daycare to be honest. She also dosent allow certain students to wear their own jacket!!!!! She needs to get it together as well as the parents and kids who feel entitled to themselves. But the teachers are good like Ms. Vergara and Ms. Steinmetz. Rate: 5.5-10

Manassas Christian School is not just an educational facility but a home away from home for the students and their families. I have sent my children and grand-child here and love every aspect of the love and support the students get. The Principal and all the staff are 100% committed to every child that comes there. I would highly recommend this school to any family looking for a safe and loving environment, that provides the highest standard of education found in Northern Virginia.

This school is an excellent school. Teachers, administration and the staff in general work together and their only goal is to see the students succeed. I am so happy to be able to send my kids to this school.

This school is truly a gem. Students get a well-rounded education, a sense of deep values, and a school they can always call their home. The staff and administrators team with parents to create the best environment for their child. As a parent at this school, I know that this teamwork with the professionals who work there is something that is constant at Manassas Christian School, but lacking in most other schools. This teamwork is a vital component in modeling appropriate adult interactions and problem-solving for a child. As parents, it is important to leave our egos at home and self-reflect so that we can better work with our child's school. There isn't a school that is more willing to work with each child and their family than Manassas Christian School.

Great school and we could not be happier. Teachers are great and care deeply. The only downside is that this school is K-8.

This school has been a blessing for my child. From a broken home he has found spiritual guidance from schoolwork to teamwork. He is thriving in this envionment, It is reflected in his home life as well.

This school offers a challenging academic curriculum in a secure Christian environment. The standards help to build character and promote leadership growth while teaching respect and compassion for others. Lessons extend above & beyond SOL for an improved, more fulfilling learning experience. Homework reinforces good work habits and responsibility. MCS recognizes the value of STEM for their students' future with dedicated VEX classes as well as school teams for VexIQ, FFL & VEX. I have been extremely pleased with the education my children have received from MCS and the quality of the school leadership. I feel they are being prepared as individuals everyday for a successful future through ongoing mentoring and programs designed to educate them both spiritually and academically.

Find another school. Not this one! Your child will supposedly get the best grades, but when you compare what they've learned at this school, to the PWC county schools, they are severely lacking and behind their peers. This school, especially the principal and faculty, are more concerned with the quantity of students for financial reasons than the quality of students. If you pay a lot, then you get the preferential treatment. If you aren't a "dedicated" parent, as you have to work and can't attend every function, then you don't belong to the family and are shut out. They don't understand that not all families communicate, and share information, and refuse to accommodate the ousted parent because they are not the paying parent. You can do better than this school. Lots of homework and extracurricular clubs do not cover up their lack of a real education, and bible lessons will only get you so far in life. Nothing Christian about this school

MCS is a missed opportunity for its corporate owner, Minnieland Corporation. With [mostly] fantastic teachers, an opportunity to fill a niche of private, christian education at the K-8 levels in the Manassas area and an generally decent facility, this school should be booming. Instead, it churns students and teachers on an annual basis. What holds it together is the passion of the teachers, dedication of parents and the lack of better alternatives in the area. The principal has lost touch with current teaching and leadership standards; she lacks objectivity and is dismissive with parents, teachers and students who have opinions opposed to her. "Her school" will only grow as big as her arms can reach; which gets smaller each year as she ages. Communication between the office and teachers (and home to parents) is lacking and often comes too late to be reasonable; a challenge in today's busy world. A disproportionate focus on the school's VEX program puts other programs at a disadvantage; music, art, foreign language are all underdeveloped. After five years of Spanish, my child barely knows words (yet made the highest scores). We have sadly left; it is not worth the tuition.

My child came from a home school environment so I was a bit apprehensive about sending him into a full time brick and mortar school in 7th grade. The staff is friendly and always available to parents and students with questions. They are very protective of the students from outsiders and don't tolerate any bullying. They were able to test my son into the right classes and the work is very challenging, but the teachers put in extra time after school for homework club. The lunch menu is delicious and nutritious and they have a very clean facility. And the name of the Lord is lifted up everywhere! I am glad He led us here.
