We were very excited to put our kids into Little Flock Christian School (LFCS) during COVID (2020-2021 school year) because it was a Christian school and not doing virtual learning like the public schools. The teachers were kind and our kids were learning a lot. However, what we found over the course of the year, and witnessed with other children at the school as well is that LFCS does not do well with children who don’t meet ‘their mold’. we were extremely disappointed to be told two days prior to graduation and less than a week from the start of summer camp that one of our children was not welcome anymore. This was not based on a single incident and the way the school handle this was extremely low-ball as they likely knew well in advance that that was the decision they were going to make. Summer camps fill up and we were left last second to scramble to find alternate means for our child. This is even more disappointing given that we chose Little Flock since it is a Christian school that teaches Christian values, and we have a hard time seeing how those values was ultimately demonstrated. Despite the efforts the staff made during the year, and the ‘we are so sorry’ we heard from so many of them in June – the way they ended things as an administration, suddenly and completely giving up on our child, and even rejecting them from summer camp is really the opposite of Christian love and charity and basically erased all the efforts to that point. Our kids were both very unsettled by the abrupt change and still ask why we can’t see their friends from there – to compound things, because of the pandemic people are still too fearful to actually hang out outside of the school so basically we have to tell our kids that all those friends are just gone from our lives. Given all of this, we would recommend LFCS only if your children are compliant and submissive and won’t make any waves. If your child has a strong will or any struggles or issues that aren’t easily managed this is highly unlikely to be a good fit for you in our experience.

I cannot say enough great things about Little Flock Christian School. Every day they are reading Bible stories and going over the verse of the week! It has been such a blessing to see my son so excited to memorize verses! The teachers are like family and treat each child with love.

We've had nothing but positive experiences at Little Flock. Curriculum and learning environment are great, but the best part is that our child is loved and cared for authentically.

Great school with excellent curriculum; well-organized and loving environment; good and frequent communication with parents using technology. My 3 year old is doing so well here that I wish I had her start at age 2... If you are looking for a good Christ-centered preschool, this is the place. I strongly recommend LFCS.

As a teacher, I really enjoy working in a truly christian environment where everyone genuinely cares about each other. My colleagues truly enjoy their work and prepare very hands-on, engaging lessons. This school is a gem tacked away in Fairfax. Come and discover how learning is fun and engaging for your children. They raise their voices each and everyday up to the Lord to praise Him for He is an awesome God! I would strongly recommend this special place to any family that values christian education. To God be all the glory!

this is my second year in little flock school I feel like it's the second home for me, I love to see the children coming every morning with a smile on their face, and the best thing is that we always start the day with a prayer. I love little flock and I am blessed to be one of LFCS staff.

Little Flock Christian School (LFCS) is by far the best work environment I have ever experienced. As a teacher at LFCS for the past 7 years, I consider myself very blessed to have such a supportive and loving work family, who truly cares for one another. As a parent, I couldn't have asked for a better school for both my boys. Growing up in Christian schools myself, I had always wanted to provide my kids with that same opportunity of growing up in a Christ-centered environment, where they can grow spiritually, academically and socially. LFCS had everything I was looking for and more! My oldest son is now in elementary school and he has nothing but fond memories of teachers and classmates. He truly misses LFCS and still gets super exited to come back and visit his pre-school teachers. I am very grateful for the tremendous role this school and staff have played in our lives. I strongly recommend this school and encourage you to stop by for a school tour! God Bless

This is my 10th year teaching k4 at LFCS. I love the family feeling. I enjoy the balance between a strong academic and play based program. The thing I like best is the way we always have a blast praising the Lord every day.

Not only do I enjoy working there but the main priority is to give a Christian education .
The students are loved by teachers and they learn the word of God . The academics are excellent it follows the Abeka curriculum . The main goal is to educate the children and focus on Jesus and how to love one another .

Little Flock has provided my son and our family with the most outstanding experience we could have asked for. From great after school programs to the most caring teachers possible, this school is a happy place. We attended for three years starting in the K2 program and ending in K4. Ms. Magda potty trained my son and was amazingly loving when he was a wild two year old boy. He has had three years of Arabic language lessons and loves the amount of play time that he is allowed. What a wonderful school. We are sad to leave!

Amazing school! Our son has learned so much since he's been there! I truly cannot say enough good things about Little Flock Christian School.
Our son is in K4 now and has learned how to count up to 30 without error (much higher with a few mistakes) write legibly, the alphabet and associated sounds of letters, and much much more.
He's also enjoying the Christian aspect of his education and regularly tells us Bible stories that he has learned.
He also enjoys his music classes, PE, and Arabic (alternative language choice- Spanish).
You will not find a school that offers more!
It has been a wonderful blessing for us to have found this school for our son!

All teachers that our children have had demonstrated superior ability in understanding, supporting, and challenging our children. The teachers are exceptionally talented, loving, and supportive of the learning experience. They truly love teaching and their opportunity to help our children learn/grow in the process.

Posted: February 12, 2016

in respect to our children's experience the homework assignments are appropriate and adequate for their out-of-classroom learning experience and don't pose a burden on us. Kindergarten had homework which consisted of working with our child to work on reading ability/practice.

Absolutely, with the Christian based curriculum and approach to teaching the students learn through bible stories, personal observation, and instruction of living in a Christian manner. It is a solid foundation that we have found persists well beyond graduation from LFCS.

We've been fortunate to have two of our children attend Little Flock Christian School during the course of the school year and summer camps. It has provided them with a loving, academically challenging/diverse, and safe learning environment. Our children have excelled in all categories as a result, and our eldest child's transition to public school has demonstrated how much further ahead of their peers they were academically, interpersonally, and in regard to character qualities thanks to their LFCS experience. The entire staff provides a positive, loving, and supportive experience to the children and parents.

Beyond an excellent curriculum and diverse programs, Little Flock offers a loving and nurturing environment in which children learns about themselves and about the God who loves them and wonderfully created them. Children discover their God-given gifts and talents and practice loving and serving others through various family and community focused activities throughout the year.

We wanted to notify our son’s progress in Kindergarten. We received a note from his teacher this week informing us that he and another student were the only two chosen to be part of taking advancement placement classes. We are extremely happy for his progress and we know that because he attended Little Flock, your school has made a difference in the way that he behaves and learns. We give credit to your staff, as they have instilled respect, faith and foremost a dedication to keep on learning. Without your school in the picture, we would not be able to see our son’s brighter future.
We appreciate all that you have done and God Bless!!

Our son is currently enrolled in the K-2 program. I am impressed with the teacher and operation of the school. We made a great decision enrolling our son at this school.

My son is in the new K2 program which I am completely impressed by. The teacher is amazing and very kind and warm. My son comes home telling me the bible stories that he learned through out that week. He now knows all his shapes, colors, alphabets and numbers with recognition. He also can color within the lines, trace letters and numbers. I saw a tremendous improvement in his development since day 1 of school. He also knows 1-10 and all the colors in Arabic.

My daughter is a 6th grade homeschool student. She comes in to take several electives and 6th grade English class daily. The teachers are terrific. They consistently show that they love teaching and that they care for the kids. My daughter has been able to attend several field trips and events as well. She has been included and welcomed into her class and we are thankful for the school and staff's flexibility and support. The students I've seen always seem happy and enthusiastic about attending GSCA. This is a great school offering a safe learning environment for all students. Also, the academics are solid. This includes the foreign language classes. My daughter has learned many things in her Spanish class that my older daughter (a 9th grader in HS Spanish 1) has not learned.

My children have been at this school for some time now. I have seen many changes that were great and some, not so great. They are very friendly and kind. Nice warm atmosphere for my children. My concern is the training of the teachers as students leave preschool, and leadership of the principal- she seems like a figure head. The program is challenging which is a plus and my children are doing very well academically. I am bothered that anyone can come in without proper training/schooling and be called a "teacher". Very bizarre.

EXCELLENT SCHOOL and BRILLIANT STAFF! My daughter has been with Little Flock Christian since the 1st grade. The caliber of teachers is phenomenal and the curriculum is fantastic. I've changed jobs and commute from Maryland just so my child can attend this school. This should speak volumes to every parent considering a school. If that doesn't do it my child was studying for the spelling bee and I solicited an older cousin to assist. She couldn't pronounce the words my daughter needed to spell and she was in the 6th grade. Unbelievable! I would suggest this school to every parent who wants their child(ren) to excel in academics!

My son started at Little Flock Christian School last school year when he was in K3 and now he is in K4. The love teachers have for God and for the children is amazing. When my son came home one day singing Christian songs and so excited to tell me the bible story he learned in school, that was priceless to me. The staff makes you feel like you are part of the family. I will recommend this school to everyone.

This is a wonderful school with a warm christian family environment.. In the school christian values are balanced with strong academics. My daughter is in Kindergarden; she is shy by nature and the school has really taught her to be self confident and not to fear changes. My son is in the K-3 preschool and he absolutely loves it . The teachers are really interested in the growth and advancement of their children on all levels. The headmaster, the principle and the staff are great as well. I The school offers before and after care for working parents as we are and the after care programs are such an asset. I highly recommend this school.

We have been extremely happy with our daughter's progress in the K4 program at Little Flock. The quality of education and opportunities for the children to grow is second to none. Our son will be enrolled in the summer camp and then the K3 program this summer / fall and I wouldn't think of putting him anywhere else.

Posted: February 28, 2011

My son's self-confidence has skyrocketed since attending Little Flock. He started over the summer in the summer camp program and has flourished this year in K3. His teacher is loving and has a true desire to give him all the tools he needs to learn and love God. I feel very comfortable leaving him each day because I know the environment is safe and nourishing.

This school is truly amazing. I can truly feel the blessing of God upon this place. When I drop my kids off there, I know that they will receive excellent academic education, given by the most loving and nurturing set of teachers I have ever seen. I love this school and I tell everyone I know about it. I just hope they are given permission to add more grades and more classes.

I love a lot of aspects of this school. My son is entering K5 next year and is already reading and writing (in cursive)! I love the Christian environment, how warm and compassionate the teachers are, and the strong academic program. It is still a relatively new school, so the upper elementary grades have smaller class sizes than you would find in most other schools. The school, although small, offers a suprisingly large amount of 'specials.' Foreign language starting at age 3, computer class at age 4, art, soccer after-school program, dance, drama and general after-care for parents who need it. I researched a lot of schools before selecting this one and never came across a school that offers all of these things.
