Amazing!! I could not imagine sending my daughter anywhere else. Small classes, wonderful and caring teachers and principal. A wonderful environment for our youth.

Ms. Smithson is a wonderful teacher that makes learning fun. My child was in her class and she was very shy and did not like coming to school. When she entered ms. Smithson's class this all changed. Her teacher made earning fun and my child really blossomed. She now is not shy when giving presentations and speaking in a crowd.
The administrators Mrs. George and Mr. Webb are extremely professional and they truly love the children. There was a child with Cystic Fibrosis in my child's class and the staff volunteered their time and money to help her reach her goal for the Cystic Fibrosis walk in Washington D.C. When the child reached her goal, they happily travelled to D.C to walk alongside her and others. It was quite an enjoyable day and it showed the true commitment of the people at the Merit School. I know that my child is truly being invested in so that they can reach their academic and social potential.

The school really promotes the children to be good citizens. They encourage the children to be honest, fair and to try their best.

Thanks to our teacher and some home study, my child has excelled academically including learning to read. Her confidence has increased and she is looking forward to the next grade level.

From the moment we visited the school, we were welcomed into the family. We felt that our child would be happy there and we decided to enroll. Since that time, our child has flourished academically and she has worked through some behavioral issues.

I have nothung but praise for these teachers. We have a little girl who was in your classic daycare setting and is now in a much better environment where learning, compassion, respect are all important to the whole child and taught accordingly.

Hard to say with certain as we've only been here a month but our daughter had decided in the past 6 months that it was okay to take things that didn't belong to her. Working with her teacher we have been able to eliminate this behavior and get her to understand the importance of honesty.

Absolutely fantastic school. We have been there a month and our daughter has already learned so much! It is encouraging to have a little girl (3.5 years) who suddenly enjoys school and learning. What a difference the right environment can make.

So far my child likes the school; however, customer service or over all friendliness of management is lacking.

I have two children attending the Merit School of PW and can't say enough positive things about the teachers, the curriculum, the administrators, or the environment. I greatly appreciate the hands on learning style that the school promotes, where enrichment activities such as educational field trips, science experiments, and even on-premise vegetable gardens allow my children to learn by seeing and touching. Combined with a structured desk curriculum, and ample free play on the amazing playground, my kids have flourished. Lastly, I have to hand it to the Principal, Mrs. George, who tirelessly works to create the best environment and experience for the children. She is firm, but so invested in these kids and loves each and every one of them. A+++!!!

My son attended junior kindergarten 5 here and we love his teacher and the program she has built. Her students are challenged and have fun every day. The teacher is highly engaged with the students and parents, and always great at communicating positive and negatives about the day.

We came to this school for JK from Prince William Academy. My son's teacher is Ms. Mayer. We LOVE this school. They are structured but nurturing. The administrators and teachers are amazing and caring. Everyone knows everyone and it is a family. My son went through different transitions and they worked with him and helped him succeed. He learned how to read at age 4 and is ever so ready for K due to this teacher and school. I would recommend this school to ANYONE.

The Merit School is one of the best kept secrets in the Woodbridge area. My child attended the school from preschool through the 1st grade and flourished there. The administration and teachers are deeply passionate about the children, their education and the school. They are truly commited. The school has character and charm and provides a feeling of home which makes it a secure, comfortable and a stimulating environment for the children. It is also very welcoming for parents. Outstanding playground. I highly recomnmend this school.

The Merit School of Prince William is a great school. The teachers are so warm and friendly. My children thrived at this school and looked forward to going every day. From the excellent curriculum and cozy classrooms to the amazing playground, we couldn't have asked for a better beginning to our children's education.
