I used to go to this school. This was not the best school nor bad school there is some things that I suggest they need to work on but overall I made good friends just wished it was a bigger school.

SHAME ON THIS SCHOOL AND THEIR ADMINISTRATION. THEY ARE THE WORST, AND BLAMED MY STUDENT FOR HER DISABILITY. IF YOUR CHILD IS IN THE SPED PROGRAM, MOVE TO A BETTER PROGRAM.

This school had a wonderful special education program several years ago, but recent staffing changes and shortages resulting in under trained staff have led the school in a very different direction. My child was bullied and blamed for his disability while attending this school and the staff was not helpful in resolving the issues. I would not recommend this school for any students with special needs.

Our experience as a family of three children was very positive as compared to other school districts we came from. The curriculum was above average and there were no incidents so kids had a peaceful time there. The administration was helpful in honoring our requests for accommodations.

We moved her from Texas and had such an easy transition because of the wonderful staff and community! This is such a welcoming community and school.

Worst school in the district. Teachers and principal are so out of touch with what happenes on their watch it actually creates a dangerous environment for the children. Witnessed much cruelty completely tolerated.

Staff are generally warm and caring, but if your student is struggling socially this is a total ugh school for kids. With such a small student body, itÂ’s hard for children to get a fresh start from a bad experience. Some of the office staff tended to close their minds to the issue, blaming my child instead of the other children involved. I will be happy to switch schools soon.

Terrible- teacher takes the easy way out and endorses bullying through silence (1st Grade teacher)
Posted: March 9, 2018
Have a verified proven case of bullying by the students and parents (of which I am one) involved and no one seems to care to report this. I submitted a review and it wasn't posted. I have correspondence back and forth that shows the lackadaisical attitude toward my reporting of the incident.

We moved to OCES from a private school and could not have been happier. We wish we did it sooner. The class sizes are small, teachers are carrying and provide a great deal of individual attention to the students. PTA and parent community is very involved. New Principal is very involved with the children and the community.

This is a great small school in a wonderful walking neighborhood. Small classes. The test scores includes kids that are in their own center- General Education and AAP Level 4 teaching is great and equal to other elementary schools in Woodson Triangle. New Principal in 2016 is a great leader.

I have had 4 children at OCES over the past 7 years. It has been a great experience. The community is small and very involved with the school. The teachers we have had the pleasure of getting to know have been for the most part very caring and focused on giving the children a great education. Of course there have been some teachers that have been a better fit for my children, but overall we have had a great experience at this school. Great PTA too!

Consistent with previous posts, this is a cleary top tier school in Virginia as evidenced (fact) by Olde Creek receiving the Governor's 2013 Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Award. This is a testament to the outstanding experience at Olde Creek. We moved to Olde Creek a few years ago and have been very pleased with the high quality education, warm reception, and great parental involvement. Schools are the hardest part about moving to a new area, so don't worry a bit about Olde Creek - it is a superb elementary school! We're glad we chose to live in the Olde Creek district!

I agree with the June 6th poster, but overall you can't go wrong at Olde Creek. It's a great, small community school. There are good teachers at each grade level and teachers care about kids, as do the administrators. I wish the teachers were a little more cutting edge instructionally and knew how to differentiate their instruction (especially for higher learners), but we've been happy for the past 9 years (and 3 principals).

In comparison to other Fairfax County Public Schools, Olde Creek is a mixed bag. The principal is a caring and nice person, though I can't describe her as an exceptionally strong leader. Staffing is mixed. There are some teachers that the parent and staff grapevine have noted to steer clear of. Other teachers are absolutely fabulous. The halls could be a bit livlier with art work. Facility is very neat and clean thanks to a great custodial staff. Everyone is very friendly.

We've been at Olde Creek for 11 years. We love everything about it. Our new principal, Ms. Kup is terrific as are all the teachers ours kids have had. Lots of parent involvement. Great size! Great school!
