Rolling Valley is a wonderful school! Both of my daughters went there. I can't say enough great things about this school.

HIGHLY recommend RVES, the ratings on here do it no justice. I really appreciate the helpful administration and the principal is very accessible. Compared to other springfield schools with higher ratings, this school is a well-kept secret within the springfield area.

It has been the best school experience for our two girls. I have always been impressed with the sense of community and the positive learning environment. Love the staff...keep up the good work!

I attended the school from my kindergarten to sixth grade and I have two older sisters who have also attended and graduated from the school. As an alumni from 2013, I can say that this was the best school that I have ever been to and that there is no comparing. Everybody is so friendly and they really put the interest of the kids first. I still come back yearly to help out with events because this school has helped me so much to become the person that I am today. I truly hope that this review finds someone well because this school really gets your kids ready for the next step of their lives.

These teachers are those who gave me the knowledge to truly respect my elders and others around me. I never truly knew respect until I went through the whole school process.

Some days your kids will go home with no homework, and other days with a ton. I will say that is getting them ready because as a current high schooler, it fluctuates often

You learn how you are supposed to act and to respect others while respecting yourself as well.

Our family has attended 4 different elementary schools over the years, and RVES is by far the best. Excellent teachers, warm and friendly office staff, a wonderful principal and AP, and a close knit community. The principal knows almost every student, and greets them by name. The classroom and specials teachers make learning fun and exciting for the kids. We have been so happy to have found this school!

Rolling Valley is a wonderful school! The principals, the teachers and the front office staff are very responsive and friendly! We have been at the school for 8 years! My kids love it there! We will truly miss it when we have to move...

I have had 3 children go through Rolling Valley and can say with all honesty, our experience, both from my children's perspective and my own, have been some of the most positive in their lives. What a wonderful foundation Rolling Valley has been for my family. Any family will feel privileged to be a part of this fantastic school Shelly Hamid

RVES is an exceptional school with professional, caring teachers and staff. We are a military family. Our 2 children attended for 3 years. Learning is engaging. There are plenty of activities to get involved in. Run Fit Kidz is fantastic! Parents are welcomed and teachers work with you to ensure your student succeeds. Field trips, extra curricular opportunities, and events such as blizzard bingo and the haunted house, pyramid challenge food drive....we love and miss this school! If interested in tae kwon do check out Elite Martial Arts, they volunteer at RVES.

Rolling Valley is a great school! Don't be alarmed when you see a rating of a "6." There are some schools in the immediate area that have a "6" as well, but Rolling Valley is far superior than those schools! I am a teacher in Fairfax County, and I find the school to be wonderful! The test scores last year were not the best, but don't judge a school solely on test scores. There are more things to base your opinion on a performance of a school. The teachers work with you and the administration is wonderful! The school has a diverse population, and it is considered one of the smaller schools in Fairfax County! We have been at this school for six years. We have another two years to go!

Our family loves this school. The principal and assistant principal truly care about their students. The teachers are wonderful and the office staff is cheerful and makes you feel welcome when you walk in the door. It has a very strong community feel to it. I would recommend this school to anyone. We have been to three other schools, both in and out of Fairfax County and Rolling Valley is the best, hands down.

Rolling Valley is another wonderful school in Fairfax County. As a military parent who has had to deal with many school systems, we are so happy to be in Springfield. Our special needs child is thriving at Rolling Valley. The expectations for all of the children is high. Wonderful community. An inclusive environment.

This school is fantastic, small and the teachers do an amazing job with the students and are very good with the parents. So ridiculus that they have a 6 here, much better than chaotic and huge Orange Hunt .

My son hates this school the teachers don't do there job correctly they just treat the kids like a kid. They hire idiots in this school the current teacher my child is done with this

I cannot say enough good things about Rolling Valley. It is a wonderful school full of great students and teachers. The school's diversity is a complete asset to all of its students and the principal and assistant principal care deeply about knowing all students and families and in helping students achieve academically while supporting their social-emotional health, as well. You can't go wrong at RVES!

This school is amazing. It has a wonderful community, great teachers, and a fantastic administration. The PTA is also very involved (in a good way!). I was surprised to see that it is rated slightly lower than some of the schools in the adjoining neighborhoods, but think it must be due to the fact that there is a special needs center in the school, whereas other schools in the area are magnet schools for other things like talented and gifted programs and language immersion. So of course it would make sense that their scores would be higher. We could not be happier with this school!

This school has been terrific for my special needs son! The principal is so supportive of his needs and the special needs team is very flexible and supportive. His teacher and aid are a God send and you can tell this positive approach is pervasive throughout the school as the gen ed teachers my son also gets to work with are so accepting and caring as is the student population.

There are a lot of great schools in this immediate area, you can't go wrong choosing one of them. But of course I prefer Rolling Valley. The principal and v. principal LOVE all of the students, even the ones that visit the office entirely too often. Academics are great but the teachers care more about the whole child. Last year my daughter's 6th grade teacher spent a lot of time helping my daughter learn to be more assertive and get more involved with the other students (she was very shy, not so much anymore). This year my 1st grader has been assigned a mentor - a trained adult member of the community - who comes to eat lunch with her once a week. This gives her the extra attention she has needed, and support I need, while her dad is deployed. Sure schools can teach academics but it is the little extras like helping a shy student or supporting one who is under more stress that makes this school stand out. Oh, and bullying? NOT TOLERATED! It still happens but the staff does all that they can to prevent it and support the child being bullied. Best Principals Ever!

I love this school. My daugher has attended it for two years, and the experience has been great. Not only do the teachers really care about the students, they also send informative and timely updates to parents. Great school!

School sucks. Have a happy evening studying with your child for a major test, with 1 night's notice. Teacher's lack of planning is your problem, and your child will start hating to go to school. And we ask, what is wrong with the US education system? Hmmmmmmmmmm..........Have a good evening!

Rolling Valley is a great school! This is the second year that my children have attended, and they are getting a wonderful education. The staff is friendly and they have great teachers.

some of the teachers are not great and the assistant principal is the worse!

VERY BAD experience with this school. Asst. Principal is VERY RUDE.

RVES is a great school. The principal is leaving and a new one has been named. She comes with high recommendations and has achieved the highest ratings from her previous school within Fairfax County.
