My 7 years old kids was dropped off in wrong bus stop and it was her second day using the school bus.

Spoke with school rep, they told me that school transportation is separate entity they don't have control over transportation . School rep provided me transportation phone number, I called transportation they told me that 7 year old kid should know where to get off in their second day of using school bus. Bus drivers do not have list for the first few days of school where to drop off the kid.

This mistake could have irreversible effect on parents and child if something would have happened to the kid. BIG trauma to kid and parents.

FYI: School should have better coordination mechanism in place to force separate entity ((transportation)) to follow common sense guidelines.

My older son went to kindergarten and 1st grade here. Overall the school environment is positive but influenced by overwhelming amount of students and limited teachers support. Administration group are great for helping families to fit in the school despite multiple backgrounds.
The school has so many wonderful activities and events throughout the school year. However we put our kids into private school due to overwhelming amount of students in the classroom. Teachers are not providing caring emotions for my kid and I believe its important for young children. I did catch bad teacher behavior during lunch time and its hard to watch young children to be treated in this way. The school need to screen their teacher better not only based on their degrees but also characteristics.
Its not beneficial for us to go private but I cant put my kids into situations like I saw in the school. Hope the school will improve better and help all the young children to grow happily.

We recently moved to the area, and we couldnt be happier. Everyone weve met has been kind and caring. The school is wonderfully diverse, with excellent teachers, staff and parents!

My son completed his elementary education from SpringHill. Excellent staff, caring teachers, and great balance between academic and non academic activities. He use to eagerly wait to go to school each day, this shows the positive environment school is providing to children. He build great memories and bonding. Will cherish them forever

The teachers are mean and vindictive starting right away in kindergarten! We've experienced this with more than one teacher at this school. Don't believe me? Go volunteer at lunch time and listen to the way they scream at little children. What a way to introduce kindergarteners to the education system! There are too many students per class. The teachers are overwhelmed and checked out and the kids do not get the individualized attention they need. Teachers and the school's administration do not care about bullying and try to deny it is happening when it very clearly is happening. The front desk staff also are rude.

I moved here just for this school district, what a bad choice! We are dealing with bullying as well. teachers are leaving in the middle of school year or even one teacher left right at the beginning of the school day. Teachers are burnt out due to crowded classes. Mostly ESOL kids who need extra help and the school is not able to provide that well either. The principal is really nice but the office staff is kind of rude and the teachers are not helpful at all. I heard there are couple teachers are very caring but thats it. I regret the day I moved here!

I was told that Spring Hill is excellent and is run like a private school. She was right! Teachers and administration have high standards for learning. After school programs, Chinese class, and advanced academics are just a few of so many amazing things SH offers. They really stand out from the rest of the areas elementary schools. Their music programs are second to none. I was completely blown away by their orchestra and band.

Pre-2017: excellent. Present: mediocre. Overrated. Overcrowded. No resources for a science teacher for the school for the past 7 years when STEAM is so important. No languages. All resources go to AAP / Gened kids could get so much more than they do. They are taught at the lowest common denominator. A few great teachers are still here, which is the schools saving grace - but so many have left recently. Their band and orchestra teachers are amazing. I feel so bad writing this because I used to love this school but its really been a downward trajectory for the past 3-4 years.

There is no uniformity at this school. It depends upon the teacher. 3 principals in the last 4 years so no leadership.

This school has really gone down. My son graduated in 2018. His experience was better. With the overcrowding, the school hires brand new teachers who start teaching with little or no experience and since there is no leadership, no strong guidance. Its always a mixed bag but teachers as SHES used to all be good. Not any more.

There is no leadership here. Principals keep rotating. Dont teach or buy a home here unless you have to.

This school has no accountability for students. Basically, administration is too afraid of making parents upset to do anything. The principal literally walked AWAY from me saying, "I don't want anything to do with that" when meeting with a parent after their student brought a surgical knife to school.

We had 2 different principals in my time there. I'm very frustrated with the current principal's lack of honesty. She assured me several times that certain things would be taken care of and they were not.

People can pretty much pay to be in Advanced Academics. I taught advanced academics for years at this school. I would say the only difference between General Education and AAP is that AAP students have a note signed from a "psychiatrist." I had so many struggling students in my "advanced" class because many students' parents wanted the AAP label.

Absolutely AWFUL. I was a teacher here for 3 years. I had HORRIBLE experiences with bullying in my classroom. I had students incite physical violence against each other, I had students go tell other students to go kill themselves, I had students make fun of people for being "gay" or "brown." At the school I'm at now, this would have left to suspension or detention at the minimum, here, the kids would go to the vice principal or counselor and be sent back to my classroom 10 minutes later with no consequence. I left in part because I was so frustrated with a lack of leadership help when it came to the behavioral issues I had in my classroom. I had 32 students every year and no support.

Do you want friends and want to be treated nicely? Well Spring Hill Elementary School is very nice, safe and caring. The School is always very careful. And the teachers are very nice. The teachers will never make things boring. The school is ALWAYS FUN! Even when your learning. Spring Hill is a very caring school. There are also a lot of fun events, you can make a lot of friendships.

The school is friendly. Wherever you go you can see people that is in your grade, so you can make friends. The teacher a very kind to you. The school is very nice because they will always know if your lonely and have no friends, then they will get you a friend.

Then people care about you. Whenever you're hurt, the teachers will take you to the clinic. The school will always know if something bad happens, and then they will send you home. The school will help you with anything you can't do. Like when the teachers give you a worksheet, and you dont understand it you can ask the teacher.

The school is very safe. When a lockdown drill or a tornado drill happens they put you in a certain position. When there is a fire drill, they will send you outside. And also if you have a headache, they will give you an ice pack for your head.

Spring Hill has a lot of fun events, like pizza parties, christmas events, fun fair and lots more!
it's a very fun, friendly, caring school. And your friends will treat you nicely, they always help you with anything.

This school is an amazing school! The teachers and the front desk people are all very nice. The school food 40% can be very gross though, but they make stuff good. I recommend this school to anybody who wants their child to do well in Middle School and etc.

My child (whos in 6th Grade) 50% of the time gets about over 30 minutes of Homework and maybe up to an hour. I think the teachers should limit the homework a bit.

All the teachers at Spring Hill ES are very nice and kind. They've all helped my child when he had trouble with a problem or a worksheet. My childs 6th Grade Math teacher also has her kids if they dont do well on a test, she'll have the students who want to improve their score come in during Lunch and eat while they retake the test.

My child does this thing called the Positivity Project where they learn about all these really good character traits every day for about 15-20 minutes. This school is really good with that.

The student counsuler is very good with the kids. She handles everything nicely. All though, i think she can quite get off hand 10% of the time.

The ESL (English Second Language) Teacher is nice in all but she can go hard on the students who really don't know English too well. One good thing about her is that she will give little Reading booklets for the kids to read after school and it helps them a lot.

This school is great with dealing with bullies and bullying. They handle with it great and know what to do. On the other hand, 15% of the time, the teachers or the consuler dont always see when bullying happens, but when they do, they know how to handle it really well.
