We love this school and cannot say enough great things about the environment, management, or staff! Well before enrollment of our first child three years ago there has been open communication and transparency from all. Our children thrive here; learning, growing, and impressing us each day. Our expectations have always been met and exceeded (and we keep them high). While students have routine and structure they are encouraged to explore, discover, and critically think through play. They get to be kids here. Staff is meticulously selected by management, well-qualified, warm, and become almost like family. All are approachable and make it easy to discuss needs and desires for your child to help them individually as needed and to be able to work as a team to build a strong educational foundation. We have been consistently pleased with our experiences and have recommended our Goddard to anyone who will listen since day one.

I absolutely love this school. When I was expecting my son; I visited daycares within 20 miles from my house and didn't find any that I would feel 100% happy about. The Goddard school opened a few months later and my son started going when he was 16 months. Yes, the transition was challenging since he had separation issues, but the staff is caring and loving and helped him overcome it. Now he does not want to leave! His vocabulary is very rich - we talk to him in Spanish at home and he is able to now communicate in English as well (at 22 months he surprised me by counting to 10 in both languages). He is very proud of the projects he does at school, enjoys the games they play, is happy when we ask about his teacher. I love to pick him up and notice how the Director is involved with the kids - she comments about something he did, or how he enjoyed his meals...that tells you she and faculty are very involved. I often look for the VA Dept. of Social Services reports and I am always happy with their results (Zero violations in September). Communications is great, they send the daily reports and regularly send pictures too. My son would not go anywhere else.

The faculty, from the director to the classroom assistants, are very personable and make you feel at peace leaving your child in their care. My son has thrived in this exceptionally kind and safe learning environment. His teacher has a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for educating children. Both my husband and I could not be happier with our experience at The Goddard School. We had tried several schools, a babysitter and a home daycare before finding this perfect fit.

My daughter began at the Goddard School a few months ago. She is 2 1/2 and had always been at a small in-home daycare. We were pleased with her care before, but wanted her to be in more of a school setting. She has really blossomed since starting at the Goddard School. Her teacher, Angela, corresponds with me on a daily basis and is very attentive to all the children. My daughter comes home happy and full of new vocabulary and songs each day. She is always well groomed when I pick her up and in a good mood. I was very apprehensive about having her in a center, but the owner is typically there as well as the director and I always chat with them. I stop by at various times due to my schedule and frankly everyone is always doing what they are supposed to be doing. I feel very comfortable with using the Goddard School and would highly recommend it!

Our daughters have been going to the Goddard School in Lake Ridge for a few months now, and they have really blossomed in that time. The supportive, professional teachers demonstrate daily that they not only know our girls as individuals, but they really understand how to connect with them to help them learn and grow while having fun. Regardless of the topic - from Spanish to English, reading or art, our girls have really taken off. The staff is first rate and takes teaching seriously - Goddard is clearly a school, NOT a day care. I can't stress enough how impressed I am with the staff, curriculum prep, and support. Every teacher and staff member knows our girls and has a connection with them. Our girls are excited to go to Goddard *every single day*, not just to play or be with their friends, but to learn. Long story short, if there's an opening at The Goddard School in Lake Ridge, take it...I can't imagine you'd regret it.

I am overly amazed at the comprehensiveness of the learning and developmental activities offered at this institution! I had my son in a highly rated Christian preschool. What he learned there does not begin to compare to what he has learned this year. The difference is astounding and very noticeable. More importantly, everything is presented in a "fun-based" approach thereby assuring maximum participation by every child. They embrace technology for parents as well as students. Parents use iPads and biometric scanners to streamline check-in/out, and receive in-depth daily reports and pictures in a personalized email. Children use a Promethean board and computers. I could write a novel on how much I adore the staff. Kind, caring, and awesome!! I love the curriculum. My son, who is four, explained what a waxing crescent moon is. His comprehension is increasing exponentially, learning Spanish and French as he increases his English language skills. I could give similar examples for what he has learned in math, science, and social studies. There is no question that I will keep my son at TGS for Kindergarten rather then saving money and sending him to highly rated public school.
