Homework is challenging yet fun. Age-appropriate as well. My son enjoys seeing his progress towards meeting his learning goals.

The teachers and assistants have many years of experience and it shows. The administration provides on-going training as well. They communicate very well and are focused on creating well-rounded individuals, not just students who have memorized their ABC's.

The IB program has been adopted for all students K-12. With IB serving as the foundation for learning students are taught critical life skills beyond reading, writing, and math.

This is a very high performing school with many bright students. The school constantly evaluates this performance to identify students in need. Teachers and administration are committed to ensuring all students meet their full potential, most recently focusing on making sure success is shared across all econmic and racial backgrounds.

This is one area I feel they can improve in. However, at the K-2 age children are still learning how to socialize and interact positively with one another. The school is committed to teaching good citizenship. Given the small size of the school system, the kids due seem to mature together and form lasting respect.

We have been very happy over our first two years at Mt. Daniel. The recently completed renovations provide an excellent learning environment, but the staff is the main reason our son has continued to grow as a student and person. The community within the school is supportive and inclusive.

We have been at this school for 2 years and have been blown away by the entire experience. The teachers are nurturing, resourceful, and have excellent communication with parents. I'm excited to see what our principal who is only in year two does with the school moving forward.

10 out of 10. Both of my boys are enrolled at Mt. Daniel. The school has great leadership, parent and teacher involvement. I can provide enough praise was esp. For their support with children with an IEP.

What an awesome approach to entering ones first years in primary education having a school solely dedicated to Kindergarten and First Grade. It really helps kids get off on the right foot. I'm particularly impressed with the dedication to reading. There is much support in this school for developing a solid foundation in reading and writing (math as well). I have two kids who have attended (one with an IEP) and I have been very pleased with the support we have received from the principal, teachers, specialists and community. There is a high amount of parent involvement so much so that it limits the amount of involvement any one parent can have. School is undergoing a major renovation in 2017-2018 but I feel confident that they will have things locked down and ensure excellent communication with parents.

Couldn't be happier. Fantastic teachers, principal, specialists, staff, daycare. Great facility. A sense of community. A wonderful school. Was enrolled in a well-known local Montessori school prior to this, and Mt. Daniel has proven to be by far a better choice for my child.

Fantastic school, great parental involvement. Prior to sending my child to 1st grade at this school, he attended a well-regarded private pre-school. I think his pre-school served him well, but when he entered Mount Daniel he was behind where he should be on math. Mount Daniel, Singapore Math workbooks, and Khan Academy fixed that quickly. The school has fantastic technology resources and the children are engaged. If you're in Falls Church City, I see no need to pay up for private school. Mount Daniel exceeded my expectations dramatically.

My daughter just completed Kindergarten at Mount Daniel. I could not have asked for a better school experience for her. Wonderful school, terrific teachers and staff, all around phenomenal place!

If there could be more stars, I would give it a 10. I have two special needs sons, one progressed from beginning at Mount Daniel well below average to above average academically when he graduated 1st grade. The level of dedication the staff, teachers, active awesome Principal Halayko is a testament of what a utopia of a little school it is. Wonderful field trips, strong school pride and my children were absolutely happy there.
