I was hesitant at first when I had to switch schools for my daughter but Im so glad I did. Jenkins principal knows how to run things. You can tell they care about the safety of your kids. It seems like all staffs participate in the morning drop offs and the end of day dismissal and they are all so friendly and helpful. They check ID and make sure you are on the list to pick up your kids which gives me a peace of mind. Another small but very appreciated thing that they do is that there is a staff asking your kids if they would like to get breakfast. Thank you Jenkins principal. I feel like my daughter is in a safe, happy learning environment.

I love Jenkins, I have been teaching here for 2 years, and plan on staying until I retire. I have worked at several other school in the county (ES and HS), as well as in private schools in the area,. Administration and teachers care about their students and their families. The students are excited to see their teachers everyday and even those who struggle put forth effort to learn and are motivated to work hard. Jenkins is a newer school and we are doing a great job at developing the school culture and welcoming students, families and the community to be part of Jenkins School Family. Teaching is tough right now, teacher shortages and student behaviors increase the stress level teachers already feel due to stakeholders demands. Many teachers are leaving the teaching profession and there are fewer and fewer people entering the field. But schools keep on growing and needs keep on expanding. I dont feel discouraged Im encouraged by the work that we do here at Jenkins and I cant wait to see where our school goes in the future! We are Better Together!
