My son has had an excellent experience with many opportunities including Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, extracurricular activities, athletics and a great group of friends. Parent support is key. Prior graduates have experienced much success at college and in industry. Excited to see growth and interest in the vocational education programs as well.

This school has been making great strides in recent years to overcome issues created by previous poor leadership. The Great Schools ranking is not up to date, and very bias to measures that do not fully show the student body potential. Why does "Great Schools" exist when they've never stepped foot in most of the systems they review.

0/10. I have spent my junior year here, and will not be coming back for senior year. While there are a few diamonds in the rough, the cons outweigh the pros. From talking to seniors, I've gathered there have been 7 principles over the last 4 years. Seven. That is not a typo. I could go on, but I would assume there's a character limit. Not once have I seen janitorial staff vacuum, mop, or sweep the classrooms (there's 8 or 9 weeks left in the school year) and you can tell. There is no central heating or a/c. There are no vents in the ceilings. The school I'm told was built with no walls, and one layer of drywall has been put up. They do not dampen sound. If you are new to the area, like I was, and don't know any better, now you do. Cough up the money for a private school (Christchurch) look for another high school, or just don't move here.
