My son is on the spectrum and Sheridan and it's leadership has been a gift to him. He is flourishing far more than he did at a Catholic private school up the hill. They simply did not have time for him and expelled him. He has no disciple problems at Sheridan.

When I was a kid, my mother transferred me to keep me out of Sheridan. I was terrified to send my son there. I couldn't be more wrong. The leadership has turned this school into an absolute gem.

when at the parent teacher meeting , she told me he needed help with a word and with out helping him a little first just told him to find it in the dicitionary , and was told it was a 2nd grade word he should know it , i was like i have trouble spell regular word my self but she was out of line , my son keeps looking down on him self because he is getting stuff wrong .

i did get to talk to her and she is short with the students , and what i have heard from my son , i have yet to get in touch with her boss , she had the nerve to ask if his brother was his half brother i was like no they have drffront brother's there is half in our family . her demeanor was agressful , she was upset his brother was there , she wouldnt let my son explain anything when she brough up stuff or when i asked him questions with her there . i am a picky mom whenit comes to school i want my kids to enjoy it not be upset from it

I have not a had problem with this school but I am going back to private schools. I know my daughter liked private school the kids are nicer. The school just has lack of funding and well you get what you pay for. Private school can offer much more. BTW you dont have move to get into a different school you just have to apply to a school early on in the year. I know the teach cares about the children so that is always important.
