We chose Cataldo Catholic School expecting a school that would uphold traditional Catholic values and provide strong communication with families. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing. The schools approach to gender expression and uniform standards has not reflected the traditional Catholic teachings we expected when enrolling our child, and it has created confusion and academic distraction for our young son. It has also made us question the purpose of having uniforms if basic standards are not consistently enforced.

In addition, communication from teachers regarding our sons progress has been minimal, and interactions at drop-off and pick-up often feel rushed and dismissive. For nearly $9,000 per year in tuition, we expected far more partnership, guidance, and accountability. Sadly, we do not feel the experience has been worth the investment

Administration is incompetent, seem to be acting as if their school is out of money - its the Catholic Church, they have plenty of money. Their greed should not be passed on to families.

My four children went to Cataldo Catholic School, and I have been employed there for 15 years. It is a very special place, with an incredibly supportive community, dedicated teachers and staff, and a top notch faith-based academic program. My children are now grown, and thanks in very large part to Cataldo, are successful, happy, and productive people. I highly recommend Cataldo Catholic School.

My husband and I have loved this school from the day we got here. The staff is warm and welcoming. We love the friendships our girls have made here that feel more like family. The education they receive is beyond what we expected. We also love that our girls get to learn about their faith. We couldn't dream of sending our girls anywhere else for their education!

For our two, there was always great communication, and an open door policy. One child requires a 504, and the school and the teacher could not have been better to work with. I have nothing but great things to say about our teachers.

The school does a great job of identifying traits and how they fit into the real world on a daily basis.

Through out the year there was guidance on policies, and the leadership always kept us abreast of what was going on with the school for volunteer opportunities, fund raising, and all events with the school. The weekly mailer helped us, as did your teacher weekly wrap up.

I have not heard of bullying from our two. I've seen class work that has addressed being a good friend, and looking out for each other.

We came here hoping a change in location would help our one child and his challenges. From almost daily reports of behavior issues at his old school, to one this entire year. The teachers and staff provided an environment that kept him occupied and focused. They knew how to redirect at the lowest possible level. It was an incredible relief to see how they worked with our child and got him progressing in school. Thank you!

There was about 15-20 mins of homework to do M-R. Usually a worksheet or two. Enough to touch back on what they'd covered earlier in the day to review and solidify.

We cannot say enough positive things about Cataldo. Our daughter was struggling and moving her here was the best possible decision we could have made. Their teachers are encouraging, postive, focused, prepared and dedicated. Time and time again the staff has inpressed us with their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a students success. We are gratefull our daughter has the opportunity to learn in such a wonderful environment and be surrounded by wonderful kids.

In my experience the leadership at Cataldo has been effective. If there has been weakness, the supporting positions have stepped up during times of transition to keep the school running smoothly.

The staff at Cataldo is proactive in helping students with learning differences. When my daughter needed extra help with reading, there was a reading specialist who came in and she was able to get help at school.

Being an alum from Cataldo and now sending our three children to the school we have been very happy with their education so far. The teachers are very caring yet challenging. What we love best though is the safe community our children our surrounded by daily. The families are truly amazing and help make this school very special.

There has been an increased focus on providing our students with additional learning support. The reading intervention process helped to identify my daughter's learning disability and is working to create an individualized education plan for her to ensure her success.

Our administration doles out very serious consequences to even first time offenders. Bullying is taken very seriously at Cataldo.

Although homework load can vary from one teacher to the next, in general it feels appropriate and manageable. Teachers are very willing to work with students on an individual basis as needed.

Overall we have been very happy with the experience all three of our children have had at Catlado. It is an amazing community of families wand teachers who genuinely care for each other and help one another to raise our children to be productive, compassionate and responsible. We are excited for new leadership that will continue to push Cataldo in its quest for excellence.

Cataldo is an excellent school. My kids are happy to go to school every morning and they are smiling when they come home. The staff is incredible and highly qualified. The Principal is a strong leader and a great advocate for the students and Catholic education. The parent community is really wonderful.

The community at Cataldo is fabulous. There are many solid families working to make the school what it can and should be. But there is something fundamentally broken with its leadership. All will be going along wonderfully until the moment a problem arises and you find yourself needing to advocate for your child. At that point the relationship between principal, teachers and parents becomes strangely hostile. Parents are relied on to fund and organize most of Cataldo's extra programs from drama to art enrichment to community service to hot lunch - but are kept on fringe and not allowed any say or even informed understanding of what goes on with regards to instruction. Again, while the community is strong, I can not recommend the school to new families until there is a personnel change within the administration.

Cataldo is the prime example of a community. Parents helping kids, kids helping kids, and teachers devoted to making sure kids succeed. It's all about being one big happy family!

Our children are lucky to attend Cataldo. They receive a caring, quality education and receive the benefit of incredible enrichment programs like music K-8, drama, community service organized by the school, stewardship (older students as 'buddies' to younger students, Catholic school sports. Class sizes tend to be smaller, and parents are active and participate in all different ways. It is a wonderful community.
